      if manufacturers made 4x4rs as they should be,,paul would be bored..theres very few 4rbees from factory that will do what you want. thats why the after market is sooooo big.. 4x4 requirements. 4 coil susp,2 solid diffs, low range crawl gear, 1 ton diffs. 5 or 6 speed. or auto with lock up torque converter.rare..low down torque engine,preferably diesel. 6 cyl..NOT,a 6bt cummins,too heavy,weight is everything in a 4x4..only 2 decent 4x4rs in aus,are the 80 series toyota & gu nissan..only jeep id buy would be a jl rubicon,then fix it..but i like my cut to swb f250 1975 highboy..same as the chevy cucv or dodge power wagon..

    • @jennyoreilly5980
      @jennyoreilly5980 3 года назад +10

      Yeah! Blame Paul Hogan (from Crocodile Dundee). We have Small, Medium and Large 'King Prawns' (that's a species), we have tiger prawns and schoolies.(they are the tastiest and most fiddley to peel) All the other varieties are named after where they come from. I am speaking from the Sydney point of view. We don't have lobsters (they have long front legs with pincers) We have crayfish, again named after the costal region they are caught. Sorry for the rant.

      This will sound like a lie but I swear it's true. When I was a kid a friend's grandpa had a system I have never seen anyone else use. He just dumped all his tools randomly in a bunch of 5 gallon buckets. When he went to work on a car, he would literally just dump them on his concrete shop floor. When he was done he shoveled them all up with a metal snow shovel and dumped them in the buckets. He said that no matter how organized he was at the beginning of a repair, most of his tools ended up on the floor anyway, and this system saved him time in the end.

    You are correct (from Australia) we call them Prawns. & generally we don't throw them on the BBQ either. Maybe King Prawns sometimes. But we mostly eat prawns cooked & cold. We do put them in cooking but thats mostly not when we BBQ.

    Definitely the truest statement. “Another set of eyes makes the difference”. But then too many eyes can cause conflict.

    Try doing that in a Chevy van where the steering box is outside the frame. Even harder than that is getting any kind of shock travel. Oh and the frame is boxed multi layer steel crap. Fun times for sure.
    I learned that, while ideal, the pan hard bar and the drag link do not have to be the exact same length but should be as close as possible. Even a couple inches different is better than crossed which is the way the "professional" shop here in Vancouver originally built it.

    I had to watch every second. As Paul said in an earlier video, this is my happy place. I worked on my Jeep today and then got to see an excellent video of the master. Michelle, still waiting for some more karaoke.

    I Enjoy your videos, here's a tip to set the lathe tool for cutting. Put part in chuck, round stock, bring your cutting tool up to part. Take a 6" ruler(thin one works best) place between part and tool. Adjust your tool height down and pinch the ruler gently to where it will just hold it, adjust and bump it until the top of the ruler leans slightly toward you at a slight angle, you are just under the center of the part. This is for a little clearance to eliminate chatter.

    Commiserations, Paul, looks like things went not your way here, but that's how it is sometimes... You made a good job of it, and still managed to get a laugh out of it, with Matt's help, and that's great... 👍
