@@Riverslidebishop Yeah, reminds me of my first "murder". I threw a fireball at a daedra, and the guard fighting on my side runs forward and gets killed by my fireball. He literally did it in a "taking a bullet for someone" movie-like way.

An NPC dying to its own summon is the type of shenanigans that give me reason to keep on playing these games.

To think, all I went through the many times that I played through this quest. Stalking the guests. Waiting to get them alone. Taking them out in their sleep. When really, all I had to do was get rid of them in front of the others and pretend it wasn't me.

Funny enough It only works for physical weapons. On the flip side if you use destruction magic they immediately all know it was you regardless of if you were hidden or anywhere near the others.

Oblivion quests were so much more engaging. You really enjoyed the process of the quest. Skyrim quests feel like you're checking off a to do list.

While this is probably the easiest quest in the game (at least for the guild ones) it is the most entertaining.

I don't remember this quest being like this. I'm pretty sure that any time I killed anyone right in front of somebody else, they certainly did notice. So I think your particular quest may be bugged or something.
I think the bow is enchanted with frenzy. So they were considered hostile to everyone else as they died which is why the dunmer freaked out and attacked someone to be defensive.
I've done this quest recently and i could kill everyone in front of others and nothing happened. I think they all had great disposition towards me, and couldn't believe their eyes 😂😂
The quest is a LOT more fun if the guests don't like you from the get go.

@@Nick-uw6if You can fail it, I assume @Elder Mer raised everyones disposition so they won't report.
It's possible to fail it, it's just often hard because they're all programmed to die in one hit, thus it's easy for any hit to register as a successful stealth kill.
I failed it on purpose cus I didn't want the lame bonus +2's taking up space in my bonuses. All I did was Absorb Fatigue on one of them haha. Had to resort to this because yea as the other guy said they all get 1 hit killed even with weak ass weapons
I just finished this last night and it's indeed the best quest in the Dark Brotherhood.
I'm going to find whoever did this!

Yes I agree I loved this quest although I did not know you could just stand there and they would not react with attacking you. The best part was when the dark elfs summoned scamp killed her lmao and the cherry on top was the nord glitching through the bookshelf. I usually take my time and hide so I feel more immersed and leave two that are suspicous of one another and let them fight to the death. Good video.
