Reminds me of when I duplicated a load of sigil stones in an inn. I had moved on from doing that and fast traveled back to that inn and entered for whatever reason. I saw the innkeeper had quite a bit of gold on them and I don’t think they were important to any quests so I thought I’d kill them and put them in a funky position amongst the Sigil Stones that were piled up in there.
I looked around and saw it was only the Innkeeper. So I snuck up and killed them, then I heard, “Someone’s been murdered.” I was detected… by who? I looked around again, no one, then I saw a shadow move near a wall. The NPC had clipped through the wall via Sigil Stones and had witnessed the murder and I couldn’t kill him.
Good times.

You report someone for conspiracy to murder to the local guards. They go to deal with the situation.
Suddenly, an assassin appears out of nowhere and begins to attack. The conspirator begins attacking his target in the chaos. His target fights back.
More guards arrive at the scene to take care of the assassin. The scuffle grows as random civilians begin entering the fray.
The assassin is killed, but the conspirator remains. In the absolute madness unfolding before you, the guards, in their haste, begin slashing at random bystanders to get to the conspirator.
The conspirator is killed, but the guards are in a feeding frenzy. The civilians flee to the chapel, seeking refuge from the assault of the local law enforcement.
The guards do not relent. They surge into the chapel as a mob, one of them fucking clotheslines the target of the murder conspirator from before, sending them soaring through a stained glass window on the opposite end of the church.
The congregation panics, assuming the guards are attacking criminals and begin to attack the civilians being slaughtered wholesale by the mindless killing machines that are the guards.
As blood and violence fills the walls of this holy place, you are suddenly approached by a deep-voiced man with a youthful potato face. "You choose to share your time with me? You humble me!" he meekly says to you, barely heard over the sound of steel slicing through flesh and bone as a literal sea of enraged guards encapsulate him.
Suddenly, the guards kill their last victim and the echoing cacophony of warfare is over. Their bloodlust sated, they leave the chapel.
As you leave, you hear one of them ask "How can I help you?"
As you approach one of the guards and ask them about the situation, the guard simply replies "Sad story, but at least we stopped him in time thanks to you!" And walks away with an arrow embedded in his back. Or at least the air three feet behind his back.
I mean this would never actually happen, but could you imagine?
Now u don't have to imagine what they have done with fallout, quake etc.
