    Corrections :
    - Umayyads moved the capital from Kufa in Iraq, Makkah never was the capital in the entire Islamic history, during the time of the prophet peace be upon him and AbuBaker, Umar, and Othman, the capital was Medina, it was the 4th caliph Ali ibn AbiTalib who moved it to Kufa, and the Umayyads moved it to Damascus.
    - AbdulMalik ibn Marwan was the 5th Umayyad caliph not the 2nd.
    - in the treaty, Umar pledged to not let the Jews settle in Jerusalem as the Christians asked, but they could enter the city and visit their sacred places.

*Jerusalem is never mentioned in the Quran.*
It simply says that muhammad went to ''al-aqsa'' which simply means ''the furthest''. And the place he visited is supposed to be a mosque... Too bad that there were no mosques in the Levant at the time because his followers did not yet invade and occupied it.
The actual place he *allegedly* went to (flying on a winged horse, if you believe in that sort of stuff) is in the Arabian Peninsula.
But don't trust me, do your own research, religious people are supposed to strive for the truth no matter what the results are.
But first, let this very thing be repeated by a prominent islamic scholar, so that you can take this seriously...

    P.S.
The story of the siege and occupation of Jerusalem you gave is highly romanticized and obviously in favor of islam, it's basically islamic propaganda. Just like a lot of other things.
