  • Russell Brand's Ponderland is a series where Russell looks at specific subjects and gives his unique take on it. He uses video clips of old TV programmes to highlight his views and to mock the weirdness of the people in those programmes.
This programme was first broadcast on Channel 4 in 2007 and has never been released on DVD, despite its popularity. I have uploaded this to entertain everyone else, I do not own the copyright to this and I am not making money off it. Enjoy!

He’s a very funny guy. Nice to watch back this era of comedy. Not so long ago, before everything became sanitized.

You're not wrong there my friend.
My wife was getting into him back when this came out, I wasn't sure on him at the time but when I saw it was called "Ponderland" I knew it was going to be my sort of thing, just comedy analysis of everyday incidents of times past. Wasn't disappointed! Loved it, we both really got into him. We were engaged at the time and decided to offer Russel Prima Nocte (if you didn't know what it means it means that the landowner or local squire can legally take a peasant bride on her wedding day and bone her.) with her if he came to our wedding as long as I could watch. My wife is a lovely looking lady, even more so back then, and on her wedding day she was fucking amazing. Seriously I have to boast, I am fucking gross but she was gorgeous. Horrible truth is she is going to die of a vicious brain tumor.
He just had us roaring at this series. Then the stand up shows, just awesome, forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get him to the a Greek, his radio show. Just perfect. Then he started to try politics....

I feel like an old fart saying this but it's a different world today and alot of young people really don't understand that we had to walk to a friends house if we wanted to see eachother cuz we didn't even all have landlines and mobile phones were ridiculous expensive and literally the size of a shoe box in the 80s, I love how technology has made life easier but I do miss the simplicity of no social media which unfortunately has become a way for alot of young people another platform to bully, not everyone obviously but life has become difficult for alot of people due to untrue posts online.

Too true. I was born in 81 so probably the last generation of teenagers that grew up without social media and mobile phones.

No, he'd been a star a few years before this series.
