Craig Ferguson in the house. - Приколы
When the funniest guy in the room meets the funniest guy in the room.
Astute
Besides Robin Williams
Bruh, this was like trying to interview a flash flood...
YES!!!!!
Russel brand must be amazing for hosts...
Host : hello Russell and welcome to... oh ok...
Hour later...
Very few people can properly interview Russel while keeping up with his antics. Shows how good Craig is.
and the fact he's not American helps :) No disrespect intended!
Or you can say it on the other way around, "Very few people can properly get interviewed by Craig while keeping up with his antics. Shows how good Russell is."
Can I in on the game & raise you our 80s Rik Mayall!!!
David Lynch, Norm MacDonald
conan handles him better
"Sorry, I'm showing off"
"It's your job"
I love that Craig is so encouraging
Yes, other hosts would feel upstaged and would try to compete but Craig is confident and doesn't mind when his guests shine. It's part of the humility and confidence that make him such a charming host.
@@treehuggerdude4 thats not true. They cant compete with Brand so they normally just laugh
Trying to keep up with these two is like being on an express train whose destination is an anxiety attack
Damn
I laughed with your comment as much as I did with the actual interview.
@@antonioenglish8732 coz I guess you are a bit slow from the mind
@@GT-ne1wu i can promise you that if you where in a conversation with these two, you would get sidelined pretty Quick.
@@henrikandreason7261 LOL I know that bro. You didn't understood my sarcasm I guess !!
I love how Craig just lobbed him that resurrection joke and he had no doubts that Russell would hit it. It's so great when two comedians just feed and build each other's bits so easily. Classic interviews. I wish they would put Craig back on late night.
he says in his book(s) and interviews that he was low key miserable doing the show after a few years.
he felt like he had accomplished everything in that lane (late night)
he enjoyed the experience but he left by choice and he said he'd never do it again iirc
That's when I realised this one interview is about Russel trying to impress Craig, like a son would his father. They seem to have a good affection for each other at the end of the first interview which really shows up in the second. Craig is really emotionally intelligent and you can tell he reads people easily and makes them feel comfortable.
Criag is so underrated . Only host to not get destroyed by brand .
Underrated? He is a pure true legend!
Really??? Did he not threw water at his robot and he did nothing but pretend he was reading a book lol.
He's right up there with Carson in my opinion. Maybe (and i know this is nearly blasphemous) even better.
He's the only host since Carson that you can see the genuine thrill his guests have at just how informal and fun the "interview" is. They're all smiles and always upset when it's over.
Hahaha, I see what you did there.
@@huhwhat6887 not very smart, eh?
"We are out of time"
"NO! Times continues to exist!" hahahaha
Jesus. This guy can keep up with Russel Brand, Ricky Jervais and then make them try to keep up with him. He was so good.
And Robin Williams of all fuckery
Jesus man ay least spell one of their names right? Ah who even cares.
Steven Wright....not as manic as those guys but a really quick wit.
Craig could also keep up with Don Rickles. Only other host who could was Johnny Carson. Even Letterman couldn’t keep up with Rickles.
@@jivet3919 no that's a lie No can was able to keep up with Craig
2 of the fastest minds in showbiz. Love them both. They should do more interviews and just improvise.
They are both wonderfully smart, crazy, and weird, but have them both together its like crossing the streams. Just ask the Ghostbusters on how dangerous that is. They are both just trying to cross a line that neither one of them have.
and less drugs
if i could handle so much crack, like Russel, i would be even faster
14:56 is a perfect example of how they are both so fast they can think of the same joke at the same time and set eachother up.
Someone do a break down of this interview
This really shows how quickly Craig can adapt.
Craig F &Russell B are beyond funny, entertaining, mentally challenging! THE BEST EVER! HOPE FOR MORE!
Just watched it , exhausting 👍
It was improv
What you are seeing is called "talent".
Unbelievable, we Brits/21st century people/most Europeans, have to act like in Iran in America with their f***king god
Craig is the only one who could keep up with Russell. It's like watching an insane comedy ping pong match 😂🤣
Who’d have predicted that Russel would become one of those most insightful commentators on complex global affairs and politics.
He always was but he hid it well 😂
That's right, crazy to watch him back then
He has matured considerably. Somehow Plandemic got him focused on what is REALLY meaningful and he's gone after that.
Not me and I would have been correct.
Is he haha
How to end a Russell Brand interview..
Craig :”Do you want to throw a Frisbee at the Horse?”
After 15 minutes I was so thoroughly exhausted I needed a nap.
I was f*cking done after 9 !!! This sh*t is terrifyingly intense.
I worked in UK for a few years. The intensity of the social dialogue - you have to keep up - was initally disconbobulating and pretty impolite but, when you take up the challenge and survive, you become the closest of friends. It can get quite hysterical. It helps to have a broad general knowledge - jokes about the 17th century for example - and a flexible accent , as the English initially catagorise you as soon as you speak.
Like it’s overwhelming 😂😂😂
i dont know what u guys talking about . i watched the whole video like multiple times and i dont feel exhausted .
I tapped out at 3
Russell made an excellent observation....Craig IS "Rat Pack" Cool. Very few people are, but Craig IS. Thats hard to pull off in the modern world.
Ista marshmallows world inad wintr
I think that’s why people like him. Because he’s got this old school, free and laidback charm. A true star and indeed it is rare
It's hard to pull off because most people don't care as much as craig does :")
When did he say that
He said it at 34:30.
Its genuinely odd that these two have such opposite styles yet their combined energy is incredible.
That resurrection bit was gold
I watched it multiple times just because it was such a good land.
15:00
Res-erection. hard to enunciate easy to pronounce!
The audience were eating out of his hand. When he went res-erection it was the comedy version of Michael Jackson's first moonwalk to Billie Jean. Except he won the audience, then had no idea who he was going in.
That’s Freemason talk btw
Jack Sparrow and Quagmire merge to form this gentleman.
He's changed a lot in recent years; much less Quagmire, replaced with a dash of Ram Dass.
More quagmire. Jack Sparrow is more dangerous.
I love these two together. I also noticed how, when Russell Brand walks on stage and hugs Craig, he closes his eyes and his face goes all calm and gentle. Thought it was actually quite human and lovely, to be honest. Made me like Brand a bit more.
Yes, that was so lovely 😊
He loves hugging.
@@Bhalforii There has not been enough of that, in the last sixteen months. Nor, conversations with strangers!
@@kevinmontgomery1383 not only that, men should start expressing feelings more, angry: say you are angry, sad: say you are sad.
@@stevendalloesingh1214 And that changes anything?
The true death of late night talk shows ended when Craig left CBS. One in a billion.
You are so right
You can tell that Russell truly enjoys the appearances he's made with Craig Ferguson! I've seen other interviews with other people and he's not as jovial or as easy-going as he is with Craig. I think they have a mutual respect for each other as comedians and it shows!
Yes, they're both very good comedians, naturals
@@queenofkingsbury 16:05 the start of the interview and Craig just rips up the cards to start the interview. Scripts are for plebs, apparently.
Imagine Robin Williams, Russell Brand and Craig Ferguson on the same stage.
Sounds like full blown psychosis 😂
@@paulpb9138 fucking hell 😂
Let’s throw in Ricky Gervais, as well, and you’d have comic mayhem!!!
I think Craig Ferguson's talent is to allow other people to shine. Russell Brand is able to not be overpowering here and it actually plays well for him. He has a child like glee That doesn't come off as disingenuous. Ferguson does a really good job of allowing him to play that up yet still keeping a rein on and controlling the interview. Russell Brand is a heck of a challenge for any host yet Craig Ferguson seems genuinely happy to have him on. A great interview to be sure! Well done to both of them!
How great of a comedian he is. Did you notice how spontaneous they became a comic duo and Russel worked instantly with Craig not controlling and not being the underdog. Perfectly balanced duo work. That Russel is a different level of performing and it is not the first time I see him adapt and work with the situation this great
Russell is great at improv and Craig is too and a total pro
I love how in the first 3 minutes they already go crazy. Sets the tone for the whole 40 minutes
Seeing your comment was the first time I actually noticed that I have watched almost 30 minutes of the video... And that I'm 15 minutes late, well fuck
Russel has never been happier in his life
From the future. He's way happier now
Check on him now..great RUclips channel with awesome interviews
I am on a Russell Brand interviews marathon. This guy is a genius. I love his chemistry with Craig Ferguson and Conan O'Brien, my two favourite talk show hosts.
forget the talk shows just watch his youtube channel
I’m on a marathon, too. It’s hard not to be intrigued by his personality. It’s so stark in comparison to everyone else.
@@1x0x Indeed. He is the second coming. A very enlightened individual. #JC2
I miss this version of him, eruptions of chaotic joy, before he went full educational/activist. He's brilliant either way.
Watch his BBC radio shows. Manic.
Surprisingly Russel Brand can amuse himself while making us laugh... he's a special breed of God's creature.
And: "God is good!" 😂
Craig is the only one I’ve ever seen that can keep up with Russell. I enjoyed this so much 😂
They're brits.

Two brilliant people on the same wave-length.. I can't believe this was not scripted and done so well.
And now…Russell has almost five million subscribers on his podcast. He used to be outrageous but was always quick witted and bright. He is just channeling it in a better way now.
👍🏿♥️ Loving his channel 👍🏿💯
I am in awe when watching his channel! I am like, how is this the Russell Brand of my youth?!! Highly recommend it anyone who wants a deeper look of what is going on in the world now.
RUSSELL just hit 5.3 million followers
very close to 6 million now
i like his new videos that he's doing, but don't stray too deep into his comments section, good lord you don't want to know what's going on down there
Craig is absolutely amazing. I never watched his stuff and have been binging the last two days. Honestly the way he plays to his guest and makes even the most uncomfortable chats feel natural is so great.
Welcome to the club
Only Craig could chorale and encourage the whirlwind that is Russel Brand.
He can handle Russell but Russell is still the wittiest
@@magpieenterprise6781 idk...just different styles
@@jessica5497 watch the first two minutes and you get an idea.
Most Craig's replies are"Really?!" "Oh!"
"EXACTLY!!" He was flabbergasted by Russell's wit and energy.
Russell's replies are like:
"I had grown taller than I was planning to be"
" I had a chance and I blew it up"
If it was Craig he would have just said "oh" "really" "exactly"
And notice the instant composure of the Hillbilly song lol
@@magpieenterprise6781 watched the first two minutes. Idk.....just different styles
One is on cocaine and the other is beyond that stage of life and watching out for the younger one in case things get off the handle
his observation about Craig's rat pack masculinity is spot on!
interesting, what do you mean?
What's rat pack masculinity?
Paolo Ernesto, the Rat Pack-Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, Sammy Davis Jr. Google it if you didn't live it.
I don't think I've ever seen Russell Brand this comfortable in an interview. He's like a kid on Christmas.
That's how Craig Ferguson makes everyone feel comfortable being themselves. That's how both girls and guys love him :')
What happened to him?
Perfect synopsis of Craig.... people always notice the girls flirting with him, but Russell is crushing on Craig in the first few minutes when he realizes Craig is teeing up so many opportunities for Russell
@@jackwatson3944 To Craig? He retired. he seems happy he did, though xD
This is epic. When one great comic icon meets another, it's pure gold dust. Craig and Russell put on a show on the show. Their conversation went from one thing to another and it was funnier than the previous anecdote.
Some interviewers had been destroyed by russel, craig was not one of them
I never noticed before, but Craig genuinely makes Brand crack up in the second segment
Craig is so good at interviewing. He can seemingly think of new questions endlessly.
It's so crazy seeing 2008 Russell Brand compared to watching him on his RUclips channel today. It's like two completely different people.
You're right. I miss the old Russell, he was so funny
I've never seen Russell Brand tell a joke that doesn't land
I'd say it is more that the jokes come so fast that you don't notice when they don't land.
Odd.. I've never heard him tell a joke that does. Still quite enjoyable, though..
He tells existential stories, just like... *DAVID LYNCH*
Johnny Parsnips yes I can confirm that. I’ve messed up quite a few notes. Nobody notices though, except for maybe the person next to you.
He had an appearance on Conan where a lot of jokes fell flat
The two of them have got to be childhood best friends. They play off each other as though they know each other that way. Just so funny!!
It's so amazing to see interviews with Russell before he got off the drugs and then after married and now seeing him talk about his children and all the while not losing his wit at all but compounding his intelligence tenfold!!!!
These two are extremely intelligent and quite hilarious together
UK humour is the greatest.
illuminati humour is awesome baby
Yeah , in the uk
American humor is essentially a game of who can be the most edgiest person by making the darkest, morbid jokes.
Such an english speaking person thing to say
Wrong, i'm English, and a lot of our humour feels borrowed, like they only laugh and tell jokes they feel should be funny, but Russel is fantastic at being a naturally funny man (personally !!PERSONALLY!! i feel like Karl Pilkington & James Acaster best match this level of comedic value)
Like two best mates hangin' out together. They're both brilliant.
This pairing is a damn riot! I love it. They’re hilarious.
This is what we get from two extremely charismatic humans. Pure genius 👏
Real life jack sparrow
This comment landed for me. 😂
Finally found a Host can handle Russel so well.. Cheers to Craig
These two are sparking off each other. True natural inventive comedy
That first clip was just hilarious!!! Brand is an extraordinary character!! Crazy, funny and highly intelligent to boot.
I would love to see Russell Brand and Jeff Goldblum in the same room talking to each other.
Oh my. That would be interesting.
That would be something.
Russell would just talk over Jeff the whole time.
Imagine if Brand could have performed with Craig and with Robin Williams . That controlled lunacy would have been almost unbearable. !
Thank you for the post. Ferguson and Brand could have been a show on its own. Two amazing men. But this just further reinforce Craig's high level of intelligence, the ability to have conversations and various levels, his adaptability and great comedic sense..
If they did one togeyher all episodes would be classic
Pretty cool that Brand is not just mentioning Chomsky but citing the title of his book "Manufacturing Consent" in improvised country song.
Who needs drugs and alcohol to have fun with those two on the room. These guys are hysterical!!! They naturally feed off of each other.
I had to set the playback speed to 0.75

Huh.... I watch at 2x speed...
I love to see how Russell looses his breath between bits they perform…. Craig is crazy but awesome in feeding on other comedians energy especially with robin Williams
People shit on him, but, I love Rusell Brand. He's actually an incredibly intelligent guy, under all the silliness LOL
Didn't take them 4 minutes to go completely mental. Gotta love Russell (and many have).
They do such a good job playing off each other - so funny!

Stumbled across this by accident, Russel definitely has his own brand of scary, he is way too fast for most that’s for sure! 😂 loved this❣️
That was thoroughly enjoyable. And the level of intelligence from these two just wow.
He's a highly intelligent guy. He was also voted the fourth greatest thinker in the world.
They genuinely adore and respect each other, which is rare for both of them. Genius meets genius.
Where did you get any evidence that they adore each other?
Craig Ferguson was known to find him infuriatingly childish, and did not enjoy interviewing him.
Presumably, you just like to gush about how stars love each other.
Wow, I generally find Russell Brand irritating, but these two together are on fire. Such fast witted jousting, and funny to boot. Bravo. Command performance.
I have watched this interview so many times and it’s more funny each time. I love them. They should do a show together
I wasn't very drawn to Rusell at all, but he's hilarious and witty as hell, and that's really something to say when he's sitting next to a wit legend like Craig!
Craig and Russell could be a comedy team they're awesome together
It’s like watching an intense tennis match on a moving train! Delightfully exhausting 😂!
Omg their ad lib chemistry humor is INSANE!! From the first appearance!!! There unique minds just flow together. I’d pay a tidy sum to see these two do a comedy special. I must admit I've tried to not like Russell Brand but failed miserably because, by golly by gosh, he's funny....and God is his favorite religion
A lot of people don't like him because of his antics and his spiritual mumbo jumbo, but you can't deny that the guy is a comedic genius. He's just so extremely quick, he comes up with the most hilarious jokes on the spot and delivers them with eloquence. Impossible to fit any more charisma on a stage. Those two are some of the funniest in the business.
Watching this makes me miss Craig even more.
I binge watch these appearances of RB with CF...so funny, so quick, & intellectually challenging! CF is the only chat show host (at least in the US) that can hold his own (wit, humor, & quick w/intelligence..with no panic reaction) & retain control of the show against the 100 mph winds of a hurricane that is..Russell Brand!!
