Lucky you for not taking your phone out and taking his picture. Otherwise, someone will take your picture too and post it in socmed and be like the bus driver who was playing on his phone while driving. He was on the news today.😅😅
The penalty for being in the bus lane is not enough to deter people from breaking the law. Confiscating the vehicle, a ticket for being in the bus lane, a tow charge and storage fee sounds about right.
Honestly I think most people feel the penalty.
But many just don't think they're going to be apprehended. Or that they'll be able to pass through - or at the very least, negotiate for a lesser penalty.
I still believe making the penalty ridiculously high will eliminate the violation better.

It's coincidental. This video was shot before that incident happened. I've said the same thing in other videos 👍
The most common reasons given are:
- I'm in a hurry
- I was just riding the line
- I was just overtaking
It's extremely rare that you'd hear anyone say they didn't know it's a bus lane.

Discipline thats all it takes. If you know you’re not supposed to be in the bus lane, then don’t be in it. Then regret it once you get caught? I think the penalty should be increased even more.

Maybe they can implement the same system in nlex and slex. Have everybody get an rfid during registration. if your detected in a place your not supposed to be you receive a ticket in the mail. If you don't pay you cannot renew registration.
I hope they give disciplinary action to the driver of the Police vehicle who drive without driver's license and impound the vehicle as well
If it's even a police vehicle. They've apprehended a number of private vehicles that have those magnetic markings attached.

Vehicles are passing through the bus lane again.
They never stopped.
Although there was a big reduction when the new penalties came in. I think for 3 reasons:
1) higher penalties
2) a lot of media coverage
3) more enforcement operations
But then as things cooled down again, and resources were shifted to work on other problems, more and more people started going back into the bus lane again.

Implement the two plates in the motorcycle in other countries it is implemented, why not cannot be implemented here in the only in the philippines.
They're still struggling to even get a plate on the back of most motorcycles.
I've lost count of the number of riders they've apprehended for something like 'no helmet', and then they found out the plate was removed and put into the compartment.
So good luck getting a second plate added 😅

dapat impound ang penalty. 1st offens 1 month, 2nd offense 1 month license suspension + 1 month impound, 3rd offense 1 yr license suspension + 1 yr impound.
Increase penalty now: P30,000.00 for motorcycles, & P50,000.00 for vehicles, all payable in 3 days.

There's a lot already. It just depends how strict they are.
I guess the difficulty for the enforcers is the threats they receive and the phone calls that come in if they flag down certain people.

why not just increase the fine? lets say 5k for 1st offense, 10k for 2nd offense, then revoke license on the 3rd offense. is that not possible?
1st offence is already 5k.
10k+1month suspension+seminar for 2nd offence.
20k+1year suspension of license for third offence.
30k+possible revocation of license for fourth offence.
Fleeing from an enforcing officer is also automatic third offence.

Fake ambulances/emergency/pnp vehicles should be impounded, arrest the driver and owner.
Keep operating on bya lanes. Fines collected alone would be enough to improve MMDA enforcers' livelihood.
That would be great but until now most enforcers are paid the bare minimum.
Any penalty payments are remitted to the national treasury.

why cant the mmda install even a water filled orange barrier along the underpass. if there are no barriers, there is a strong temptation among the motor bikers to use the restricted bus lane. why not make an error free countermeasures. if rfid is a technology today, why not the lto issue a plate no. and at the same time an rfid transponder of any type of vehicle. the bus lane should have a vehicle transponder identifier thru mmda control ctr. the ground operatives shall have an instant message receiver about the bike violating the bus lane. any govt agency can immediately verify if the rfid corresponds with the issued plate no. or motor vehicle info. hindi kasi preventive action yon laging may tagabantay. use the technology available. mayayaman ang mga nakabike kaya sisiw sa kanila ang 5000 violation. gawin nyong 15000 pag bike. pag 4wheel, 30000. ganyan sa singapore. discipline constitutes grave penalty so that repetition of the same offense is being avoided. sa pinoy, di alam kung ano ang disiplina. alam lang nila kapag sila na mismo ang magsusuffer sa consequence of their own wrong doing. kaya kahit mmda, dotr. saic, mtmb, chpg, pcg or kahit afp pa ibantay nyo ryan, ganyan pa rin ang kalalabasan nyan. dahil mas dumadami ang mga kamote sa lansangan.

There's lots of cctv. But the temporary restraining order from the supreme court prevents them from using it for enforcment purposes.
No contact penalties were suspended by the supreme court. I assume because they and the politicians got caught a few times and you cannot talk or bribe your way out of a penalty to a camera.

If they don't learn, let us remove them... By passing the no vehicle no garage law. Most kamote riders and drivers doesn't have their own garage or parking space at their residences.
Passing a law like that would greatly reduce traffic in Metro Manila.
But I've lost hope that such a bill could pass. Because it seems like there's a lot of support for Cities that want to turn their sidewalks, roads and even bike lanes into paid parking.
Does it solve the problem by increasing the penalty?? No, right? I told you fines are not enough to stop them. Mmda should think outside the box with effective and long term solution. Elevate that bus lane for about 2 feet or barricades with a rubber bump as high that a small car can't go through. That's the only most effective solution. Fines are not enough to stop them from entering. They will continue to use it if there are no enforcers around.
the motorbikes makes the road way more dangerous than it should be, they dont stay in the lanes they ride right on the lines and in between cars making it no room for safe driving space,absolute no courtesy and zero safety consideration driving techniques

It's the same in all my videos. I blur plates and faces. The purpose of my videos is to inform and to educate. Any punishment that the driver suffers is in the form of a ticket, impounding or such like.

Many riders can actually earn a very good income, especially the motorcycle taxi drivers.
A lot of people are shocked when they find out how much an MC taxi driver can earn, or sometimes they don't even believe it.
It's hard work though.
