Great video! Reissues seems to miss Europe. Glad I have a son that just found a mint original copy of ”The Legacy”. Had to pay about 500 SEK (60 CAD) for it, but it was worth it. Resently also got my hands over an original copy of ”Practice”. Unfortunately (hope that I’m wrong) I don’t think we’re gonna see any reissues on this side of the pond. Take care Darcy!🤘

Hearing the term "Thrashterpiece" used by someone else makes me so happy. I would put these up there with Seasons In The Abyss, Master Of Puppets, Peace Sells, Agent Orange and Beneath The Remains in my opinion! As for these reissues, I love them. At least these blurry images are the original cover art unlike the new artwork they've done for the remasters (which are 50 dollars usd?? Outrageous in my opinion when these were only around 25-30). The splatter vinyls are beautiful as well. Cannot wait for the tour, especially with the rumours that they'll be playing all of New Order and Legacy
The thing that pissed me off is they are releasing these remasters so close to the reissues & yeah the prices are nuts! I hope they don’t do this with the next 4 of the Atlantic stuff. Nice one Darcy! These are my 2 favourite Testament albums, they're faultless. It's really great they bought the rights to release them under Nuclear Blast now. I have the classic album set, I can't remember what label that was released on. Not sure if I would pick up these new ones. Testament, Kreator and Possessed will be here in September 2024. It’ll be my 11th time seeing both Testament and Kreator, so along with Slayer, they are the bands I’ve seen the most. 🤘

The vinyl looks absolutely wicked. The artwork is def not as sharp as the originals. But they certainly don’t look bad. Glad you added them to the collection. Absolute thrashterpieces. Stay well brother and remember to listen loud!!🤟🤟🤟🤟

I also bought the tapes (including Dark Roots). I love tapes but I hate that many/most modern tapes are coming out of a factory where the tape shells are very mid. Nice to have though! I play all of mine for sure.

There’s always something more to crave.. Oh yeah, and I also crazy seriously need Accept’s Restless and Wild on vinyl. Make it a limited, ultimate, gold edition!! I once seen Greg Christian post on Facebook about being interviewed on camera for the 30th anniversary edition documentary dvd of The Legacy and as we now know that edition never seen the light of day. Real shame that because I think that would've been a popular seller. I compain about every reissue that I used to have or do have an original of and the state of them would have me going into meltdown 😂. Everyone is different and you do you with your own money etc etc but all those reissues would've paid for an original press in whatever condition you wanted. Mine was about £22
Saw Testament a few months back when they played The Legacy and The New Order in their entirety. Was hoping to grab these at the show (with the possibility of paying extra for signed copies). But they only had maybe 2 shirts and a hoodie (I grabbed the hoodie). Such a missed opportunity for the sales at the show. Oh well

Saw the legacy last tuesday in Belgium at my favorite record shop. Make me happy because its a real classic same as the new order. Now i see your video i think i will buy both soon. Yes, I saw the REMASTERED ones that you mentioned on the site for a high price. I think that's pretty crappy to do that right after the reissues. I won't be buying them unless they are a fair price. I think the next album will be more like 1st quarter of 2025

Practice is my favourite Testament album - Legacy and New Order are also great too, of course, as is Souls of black - just the production lets it down on that one.
I love the thin(er) production on Practice, Souls was good but it was missing the Alex Perialas touch I think! Can’t wait until Friday, Metal Mickey & myself are on with Marty & Alan discussing/ranking the whole Testament discography, stop by if you can 🤘
Both are classic thrash albums. I own these on CD. It’s good labels are reissuing these so people are able to get them for a decent price. That’s a big frustration with these metal albums. A lot of them are out of print and go for huge money or you have to be lucky to find them used. Are you going to be picking up the new albums from Sebastian Bach and Kerry King? And the new Tony Martin era Black Sabbath box set? (Not sure if I’ve asked in a previous video or not). I have all those on pre order. Looking forward to those.
The only things I have on pre-order at the moment are Black Sabbath Anno Domini & Kreator Enemy Of God/Hoards Of Chaos box set, really looking forward to both of those! I’d like to hear more of the Kerry King & Sebastian Bach albums before I pull the trigger. New Anvil & Flotsam and Jetsam are two other ones I look forward to. Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers Andrew
I think a lot of those reissues are being rushed out now and unfortunately the cover art reproduction is suffering for it or whoever approves the new art doesn’t have the eye for details. Glad the sound is good on the NB copies. I’ll pick up The Ritual when it comes up as it’s the only one I’m missing on vinyl

I think the reason the reissues for The Legacy have the boring, simple center label design is because that's how the original vinyl was. Simple, basic, no Testament logo or Megaforce logo...just regular font.
The cover reproduction are very dark & blurry compared to the originals I own. Sound wise the originals are better. The new versions sound compressed to me. The originals have a better sounds stage & better instrument clarity. More power in the music. Another bunch of very disappointing represses of 80's thrash classics. Save your money & buy the originals. I would give it a 6/10. I would definitely recommend selling all reissues & buy an original copy. I've given up on these reissues. To expensive $80 each in Australia where a good original is only $20 more. I've owned all originals since the late 80's. I expected better from Nuclear Blast. 🤘 from 🇦🇺
I picked up the New Order, I have an original Legacy... Yeah, I thought of you immediately when I noticed the poor cover art. I can't believe this gets past quality control and approved for release, no excuse for that...
I have never ever seen or touched any of those reissues. Not even the old CD versions. All I ever got was the two OG Euro LP pressings. I was tempted to get the longbox CD versions a month ago when Nuclear Blast had their 25% off week for 12 Euro each... I didn´t. The only Testament I´m missing is "The Ritual" on vinyl. No signs of any remasterd versions on Nuclear Blast Germany at the moment but I found a cool "Practice..." shirt, hahaha...

God I hate fuzzy artwork on these overpriced reissues. Also hate colored splatter vinyl. Its just novelty / the picture discs of our era. I would rather hunt the OGs of these two classics. I do have the OG tape of Legacy and that 2017 Rocktober reissue (which is a mispress with the same tracks on both sides.. still missing side 2 lols)
I really don’t mind coloured/splattered vinyl, but I usually go with black if it’s available. I hate when they half-ass it on the artwork, give me f#%king break! @@darcysixstringsninelives3493 yes. And no nice digipacks with some bonuses/live disc but only jewelcase with longbox/sticker. I think this reissue is a little bit missed oportunity. Btw, these artwork covers are REALLY fuzzy and low quality made :-(

God I hate fuzzy artwork on these overpriced reissues. Also hate colored splatter vinyl. Its just novelty / the picture discs of our era. I would rather hunt the OGs of these two classics. I do have the OG tape of Legacy and that 2017 Rocktober reissue (which is a mispress with the same tracks on both sides.. still missing side 2 lols)
I really don’t mind coloured/splattered vinyl, but I usually go with black if it’s available. I hate when they half-ass it on the artwork, give me f#%king break!
