chxvx Lady Gaga is talented. Her performance is mainstream which is not Bowie (except the 80's era). I would prefer if past, present or upcoming artists who are edgier do the tribute.

+rabit818 i agree. i hate to be a hater, but that Gaga tribute was hideous,tacky,cringe worthy and uncomfortable to watch. sometimes its the thought that counts, that is one of those times.
like blow the budget compared to this no budget tribute. this one has "soul " man. as did Bowie.
he would have loved this tribute. Gaga. well. uncomfortable to watch i would imagine. just saying. lol

I will never forget this day and the magic I felt being in this crowd. When you're in New Orleans you don't cry over one's death, you celebrate their life. Bowie's life I will always celebrate.

Interestingly Bowie lived and started his musical career in my home town in Beckenham (London). There is a permanent reminder (red blue face flash paint) on the high street pavement next to the pub/restaurant where he famously played. Strange we don't have a statue of him here.

The God part really , is .That he even survived.to a very happy, intelligent family man of 69. still working at his job . And unbelievably his final act was to create an album about the life of death.. who else but Bowie. no one else.
