Another brilliant video, guys. I spent a few nights on Aurora for the short cruise this year, and thought the product being offered on here was really strong - P&O seem to be doing a stellar job with this older lady. Long may it continue!
Great review and very interesting to see how the experience on same ship can differ. We had long lines and very dubious food in the buffet on Aurora. I had an omelette that was half cooked!! Looks like the fixed dining at the MDR worked out well, getting to know your servers makes such a difference. Many thanks for a great review.
@ALifeintheParks Thanks for watching. We do appreciate it. I think that people can have totally different experiences even on the same cruise! Dubious food sounds ominous, and having to wait in a long line to get it is even worse! 🫤
@@TravellingLightLisa Me too! So often the menus are so familiar now I know what I’m having before entering. Being a veggies do you choose the night before?
@ALifeintheParks Lisa does, but that is only because she has a food allergy. I always choose on the day, as I have no idea what I would like to eat in 24 hours time! 😂 There is usually a reasonable veggie choice these days, but if not, that's when we head for the buffet.
Another great review :) We went on Aurora a couple of years ago and i didn't recognise anything til you went to the grill......remember the lovely ice creams from next door :)
Another brilliant informative VLOG … hand washing stations at buffet really good .. just wished more people would use these when provided .. Breakfast did look good. P&O do seem to understand dietary requirements too ..P&O burgers never been a strong point … buffet lunch adequate with reasonable selection. MDR lunch looked great. Late dining is a challenge but the food did look excellent. This ship seems really chilled .. loving the vibe…. Will look at itineraries for Aurora for sure.
@CooksExplore thanks guys 🥰 yes the food was perfectly adequate with some very good meals. We love the veggie curries on P&O. Thanks for watching and supporting 🙏 Have a lovely bank holiday Monday.
This ship is great as under 1900 people and about 850 staff. Staff amazing. Food was amazing in buffet and restaurant. Drinks Pimms cocktail lovely don’t skimp on it either. Only been on once but going back next year, and refurbishment so great.
I've not been on Arcadia but there are some great vlogs on You Tube about her. I would imagine she would be very similar to Aurora. Thank you for watching. We really appreciate it 🙏
Food ….is almost identical…. Ships very different…the buffet on Arcadia suffers with queues for hot drinks…oddly there are fewer drinks stations than Auroras Buffett but Arcadia has far more passengers….the buffet is much larger and so more choices.
@osmanbhuiyan2958 All your food is included apart from Speciality Dining which incurs a small surcharge which we didn't try. You can get free tea, coffee and tap water all day and your fruit juices are included at breakfast time. You do have to pay for sodas and alcohol. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and commenting 😊
@michaelthompson6885 thanks for watching Michael. Yes Ambassador is an excellent choice. I'm looking at going with them to Norway next year. Happy travels!
@@TravellingLightLisaYESSSS! Steve and I are booked on the Norwegian Fjord Expedition (A22516NC) - 06/08/2025… it would be a hoot to run into you and Giles and/or Agent O! Now you have the information to make that happen, or flee to another itinerary 😊
Yes. Quite right. Lisa is scrupulous around hand hygiene. We don't film every occasion we wash our hands or sanitise then as that would be boring. Did you think from this video that that was not the case? If that was your only takeaway from it I can only apologise! 😂
Thanks for another great and informative video. The buffet lounge looked extremely civilised for both breakfast and dinner. Other cruise line buffets appear more akin to a wildebeest stampede ! Your point about (the decent) space between tables is also highly relevant. Some lines appear to think that all that is needed is a 6’’ gap between tables. One final point: most of your videos over the past year have featured some random bloke with you. Not seen him for some time. Have you made him redundant ? (😅)
The food looked very tempting, with plenty of choice. We like the fact that you complement the staff, I’m sure they appreciate it. Looking forward to your next one.
Top show as ever (and no ads were skipped!). I’m very interested in this one as we’re off on the Azure next year. All I really require of food is a little variety, and heat - I hate tepid fare. Those breakfast queues looked horrendous, that worries me! At an evening meal, you laid out the starter and dessert details, but what was your main? It involved three things that looked like large veggie ‘meat’balls. Lisa, you were very grateful for a single bread roll - did you forget that Ambassador provide a whole basket? My big takeaway from this is that Olivia is not a morning person!
Thanks for watching Martin. I'm sure you will have a fabulous time on Azura next year. The food on P&O is fine. There is always something appetising on the menu. My main course was spicy cauliflower in bread crumbs, which was very tasty. Thank you so much for playing the adverts - we really appreciate your support 🙏
Loved dining with Lisa and Olivia.. food was very good. Watching your video makes me want to go back. X great review. Thank you
@MichTrumpet thanks both. It was lovely having such great dining companions. We enjoyed our dinners with you both 😊 ❤️
Another excellent video. Great review of all the dining options.

Thanks Fraser. I loved Aurora 😍 Definitely my favourite P&O ship so far. Just need to try Arvia &Arcadia then I have whole collection 😁
@@TravellingLightLisa Ah, amazing! I'm working my way towards getting them all ticked off too - let's see who gets there first!

@@TravellingLightLisa The buffets on P&O are wild, even from day to day!
But at least they’re open late 😂
@ALifeintheParks Our usual preference is to eat in the MDR. We are just too lazy to fetch our own food!

Do you have to pay separately for foods and drinks in the ship?
