Olivia is a natural, looking foward to the next vlog 😁My 86 year old Mother was on this cruise as well, her first solo cruise so will watch with interest to see if I see her.

Has anyone travelled with them who uses a walker/mobility scooter? I can only walk short distances.

I love sea days and I love sea day videos. Well done you ladies for doing a mile on deck AND some gym work. Did you see that odd sign, ‘Guests are kindly asked to be mindful of cabins below when using the treadmill.’ What are folk meant to do, exactly, float above the machines?

Overall: on day one I said "never again" but at the end I decided that I would definitely consider going on the Queen Mary 2 again, provided the price was right. I think when you know what to expect (or NOT to expect) you can have an enjoyable time. And I most definitely enjoyed the black tie nights. Happy cruising!

Cruised on the Queen Mary 2 for the first time a month ago. It's definitely very different from other cruise lines - some things are better and some are, unfortunately, much worse. To begin with - it feels like they have no idea what "service with a smile" actually means ( never mind "white glove service" which they constantly advertise). The overwhelming majority of staff were indifferent at best, or surly and incompetent. Most everything that required proper organizational skills, like passport control (in Boston in my case) was an absolute disaster and the crew members (including officers) could care less. On the other hand the food was mostly of excellent quality, although, unlike on other cruise lines NOT in the restaurant but in the buffet and other small venues. The entertainment was ok, most of the lectures - so so. I felt that unlike many other cruise lines they didn't nickel and dime you.

I always love a gala night. Better food in the main dining room and the free bubbly is worth it too! Also I love to dress up. You both look lovely. I didn't think you were old enough to have a daughter but shes beautiful

We arrived back last Thursday from a taking a 5 night British Islands cruise, our first cruise ever, on Ambition. I agree with the majority of your comments about your experience. There are a couple of things I'd add. Bottled drinking water in the cabin was charged for???, whilst the tap water was drinkable, it was at best 'luke warm', so I took my insulated water bottle upto the Borough Market and filled it from the dispensor, helpfully a jug is provided to aid this. I prefer crispy Bacon for breakfast, but I found it too greasy being presented in large heated trays and the Sausages were abit bland in taste. We had the premium drinks package which was brilliant and the measures were good, as were the variety available. We arranged our own excursiins ashore whichbwe found to be alot cheaper than the packages offered, even to the same destinations. I noted your comments about ordering a taxi when disembarking. We finished our cruise at Liverpool and once ashore we simply ordered a Uber cab, which arrived within 10 minutes, no issue for us. Overall we enjoyed our first cruise and would go with Ambassador again, it was certainly a change from holidaying in our touring caravan. Overall enjoyed your review which I though fair and balanced.

So, on a cruise with Giles, it’s “we won’t be late to bed as it’s been a busy day”. Alternatively, with Olivia, it appears to be “how many free drinks can we get, and we’ll dance the night away”. Also, I think you need to upgrade your sound equipment. Your voice became noticeably slurred towards the end 😂 A great video !

At 24:12 at the rear of the Methodist church they have put a fence across the graveyard, although I have lived 2 mins walk from the town centre for the last 44 years,, I didn't know they had done this, Up to a few years ago there was a grave at the rear far right with the slab partly broken and if you put your hand inside you would have felt a small box, upon inspection it was a coffin shaped box about 8" long and it was a geocache, perhaps that is why the church authorities may have had access blocked and also there were some very old graves in there, maybe they became unsafe to walk around, the high st I wouldn't walk along at night but I don't think the level of violence is as bad as the sensationalist creators like to think it is, but makes good click bait

At the start of the town by the church there used to be a subway where the level crossing is now! If you dig the pavement up it’s still there!

Enjoyed your Ambassador vlogs - thank you. Now having watched your Cunard vlogs I now realise that Ambassador is definitely your stamp. You boarded Cunard with an inverted snobbery attitude which clearly comes across in your videos. You can’t even hold your knives and forks properly. Please stick to budget cruise lines in future. We have nearly 40 cruises under our belt on numerous cruise lines. Never came across whingers like you in all that time. Enjoy your future cruses on Marbella and Ambassador.

I’m 62 now, and was born in Harlem Hospital. For the first 2 years of my life i lived with mom and dad in a block of flats right by the clock tower in Carters Green it’s long been demolished now, but dad always said it was a fire trap! Also, when Guest Motors was changed to the casino, it all had to be strengthened, it had been in a state of collapse, and nobody knew! By the flats in Carters Green there was a cinema Mom used to go there regularly !

I love how you tell it like it is. 'Spake how ya feel' I am on Ambition soon having already had the lovely experience of Ambience. I was surprised to hear you say the Purple Turtle was quiet as on Ambience it seems to be everyone's main 'go to' Very interesting. We have a full ship when we go so hoping it will still be quiet somewhere. I know already that I will miss the bar at the front of the ship. Great toilet tip, superb. I can't wait to visit Saffron again, just love it there. Did you do the Speciality restaurants? Keep up the great work and enjoy your travels x
