    Good honest review. The food stations all looked so bland and a lot of the food was beige. P&O seemed to have really cut back on food quality, as we had been sailing with them for over 25 years (no more after 2 substandard cruises) and really noticed the decline. But they have become the cheap line now, sell it cheap and fill it up. Most other lines have a fresh egg and omelette station, and where has the Corned Beef Hash gone? The offering on MSC Virtuosa is so much better. (except the burgers!!).

    • @OneCouplesAdventure
      @OneCouplesAdventure  11 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks Gary and haha can't remember the burgers on the Virtuosa so that says it all you must be right lol , and yes the buffet is very disappointing. I know people say ' well you can't go hungry with what's on offer' but where Is the line with that statement , doesn't meant its good quality. But saying that the speciality restaurants have always been brilliant on our P&O cruises and the MDR has been good 👍

    I am going on Britannia on 2nd june to Norway,hope the buffet improves,not much choice there at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes, you can go along to the main dining rooms so hope that is better. For the price you pay for your holiday there should be ample choice.
    Just got back from our cruise it was great plenty of food at the buffet it was a wonderful,ship was clean and tidy,staff were polite and they all worked hard to give you a wonderful holiday,can't wait to sail with P&O again.

    Seeds and prunes. Love to keep regular! Of course we'll have brown sauce on our Bacon Sandwich. Never had it before I don't think, but we want to be friends with both of you, Stacey and Kevin! We enjoyed seeing the buffet fully for all meals. I think we could be happy and find anything we desired for anytime. One thing we did notice is that they seem to have premade salads and not a salad bar where you make your own salad like we're more used to. love to eat like animals! Saw the beer, wine and soda dispensers. Soda is even an extra charge? That surprises me. Otherwise I think we could live just fine eating only at the buffet. But, we'd have to limit it to only 2 meals a day. We couldn't do 3! Enjoyed the review and look. Thanks for bringing us along.

    Good evening to you both
    We only eat in the buffet restaurant for breakfast and sometimes for lunch as we were late eaters it was standing room only
    Think we will try and eat a little earlier as you have, saves fighting for a table and having my choice not just having what's left.
    I know you are not drinkers, but after a few beers and cocktails in the evening the late buffet was very welcome, its only what's left from the evening buffet but taste so much better.
    We also tried the hot cross buns, think the wife can make better ones then that, hope she doesn't read this but she cant cook

    Very detailed. I loved the MSC Virtousa buffet, with no need to use the MDR for dinner, but on the P&O Ventura it was the opposite. I suppose some cruise lines assume their guests want to have waiter service dining, but there needs to be a strong alternative.Disappointing to see no Omelette station.

    Hi guy's, I was surprised they didn't make any kind of egg's for you in the buffet. I wasn't sure when you said "brown sauce", then reading some of the other comments I saw HP. Is that like a steak sauce? The buffet looked like it had everything you could need for every meal but not a huge selection of item. I would go for a quick bite but eat in the main dining room otherwise. Thank you for showing all of this.

    • @OneCouplesAdventure

    I have coeliac disease. I can't eat gluten/wheat. Seeing the little allergy selection was sad. But, the rest of the food looked just as sad, so I don't feel jealous of what everyone else can have, the way I normally do. I've been on a cruise from Orlando to Nassau on a Carnival ship. The food was much nicer. Thank you for your review. I'm looking forward to seeing how this cruise is.

      Coeliacs are pretty well catered for. What you couldn't see on the video is all the signs that show allergens for each dish.
