@@cameronpenny820You’re better off force quitting instead, I’ve tried to do read only on mac but it’s really weird and if you do it wrong it could mess up your game.

That's one of the mod's that I usually get use out of every time I play. Honestly I abuse it though sometimes and just use it so I don't have to run over to the drop 😅

Quick tip for anyone playing bl2. Setting your network mode to offline in game makes you save quit and rejoin much faster.

Yeah, I consistently have like 4-5 mods active and they are all just quality of life stuff. It's almost become hard to play without it
@@mrtx01 i know this is months old, but i gotta agree man. i punched 350 hours into bl2 before installing mods, and the better respawns turning the loot midgets into a 30 second fight is what sells it for me...
@@dethanmcc1554 yeah I used to not like the mods that changed spawn points or whatever but after realizing that 80% of most farms is just running to the location, i changed my mind

I’d love to see these implemented in the next borderlands game, as much as I loved what borderland’s 3 had for mechanics and gameplay I also really loved the mods that 2 and pre. As well as obvs some of the straight up innovative mechanics, I desperately miss the grinder and laser weapons. As well as having eridium or moonstone to be used as currency for things. I am not a fan of spending billions of dollars to just get 1 sdu when I can farm for stuff like eridium. I love a lot of the innovative mechanics that are added from the games, I’m hoping that some also from the mods become straight up mechanics on the game.

Bl2 reborn is the only mod i use but some of these do sound interesting
I've heard good things about Reborn, BL2Fix, and the community patch but I've never actually used them. Maybe I'll give them a try sometime

the reward re-roller has got to be the best one i've seen on this list, followed by photo-mode and loot teleporter.
Yeah I really like reward reroller, it makes farming so much faster but also comes with a downside so its not just absolutely broken (unless you want it to be >:) )

@@IAmPez i meant that as in like it makes farming faster but costs eridium every time you do it, as where with some other farming mods they have no sort of requirement or cost and just straight up make farming way quicker
@@mrtx01 Ah, it costs Eridium to reroll? That definitely balances it out a bit better. I was thinking, if it there was no penalty to rerolling at all, then you might as well just used gibbed weapons.

My entire life ive always thought that the weapon rewards from quests where set. I had no idea that they were randomly rolled...
well the weapon itself will always be the same, however the prefix, parts, and element will all change everytime you turn a mission in
I would love the travel mod to make the gane go so much faster
BL1 would be 100 times more playable if they made the better travel and spawn mod a thing. 😊

Note with the better fast travel mod: I’ve noticed it doesn’t work in maps without fast travel, like control core or inside of the overlook bar.

The issue I found with quick load is the pause menu lags more the more you use it and it sometimes doesn't let me quit the game forcing me to alt-f4
Yeah I've experienced that too, it doesn't happen often but having to alt-f4 sucks when it does

Wish I had a pc to experience mods like this. I've been playing borderlands since release and still play bl2 every day but I play on PlayStation so no mods for me. how about mods for console? would love that.

@mrtx01 I hope so however I've only got a ps4 so I doubt that mods will be available for that so unfortunately even if Sony allow it I don't think it will happen on the ps4

If you are wanting a tutorial on how to setup the mod, it can be installed from the PythonSDK Mod Database just like the other mods. On the site there's even installation instructions in both written and video form!

The good old "not cheating just qol" nothing against it but vanilla is the best way to play. Kinda ruined watching any borderlands streamers since they all use mods, or community patch. Nothing wrong with quit saving and manually read only save , but when you have mods that alter all of those things especially teleporting for farming. Good luck trying to find a single playthrough without glitches, mods or exploits besides quit saving and read only/force quitting. Good video though
For me personally, I only actually use mods for one press read only (so I don't have to go into my files everytime), auto pickup for eridium and stuff (so I don't mash E after killing the warrior or a raid boss for crystals), a vendor mod (for buying all ammo without clicking 100 times), a skill tree saving mod (just so I don't have to click 70 times for the build I was using 5 minutes prior), and photomode (for obvious reasons). I will agree though that the ones in this video border cheating more than those, but that depends on the user and how much they want it to break the game. The quickload mod gives an OPTION for setting a spawn point, but otherwise it literally just makes save and quits take less keypresses. Or like the reward re-roller one is technically worse than read only farming because it costs eridium, however if someone wanted, they could totally use that mod to reroll at the speed of sound and quit out in read only to not lose any of the eridium spent.
Sorry for such a long response, for the record I'm not trying to combat you and I totally get what you mean about content creators using the more cheaty ones or things like community patch. A lot of people like watching those but its really not my thing. I've seen some streamer use mods like the one that lets you change your spawn point and it just kinda turned me off. But however people want to play is okay with me!

How would one mod BL2 with these? Is it with vortex like bethesda mods, or does it have a different way of installing?
So some mods use Nexus mods but most of them just use github. The ones I used in this video are from here

I’ve tried installing reward Re-roller, but I don’t really understand why it’s not working. I have python, I have the separate install needed for it, but it still won’t show up.

I left a link to the mod database in the pinned comment, on that website there's an installation guide at the top of the site, it should only take like 10-15 minutes to get mods working. There are plenty of other mods for the game too but honestly I'm not sure how to download any of those but those are mostly on github and nexus mods

Do mods work in multiplayer?
I haven't tested every mod in multiplayer, but I believe that if the host has the mod, he can use it all he wants but the other players have to have it downloaded as well to get the effect. If the host DOESN'T have the mod but YOU do, nothing will happen and most of the mods wont work. Some mods can vary though and I've found some that work even if the host doesn't have it so who knows

How do i get photomode
It's pretty easy assuming you are on pc. First you have to download python SDK and from there you can download most mods and just put them into a folder, then just activate them on the main menu. Should only take like 5 minutes

1. Too cheaty.
2. Even more too cheaty cause you can keep doing it till a god roll of parts for the reward stuff, on normal yeah not much a cheat TVHM and UVHM nah player will have quite amount to keep rolling.
3. Tiny bit of a cheat too but it seems fair enough sort of fixing what gearbox caused to happen.
4. I've used this one before and its much better then number 1 as its not too cheaty
5. This i might get i like BL games lot more so older then the 3rd BL title and being able to get much cooler photos for sure is cool.
