    The previous S Class had a better interior for me. It’s a nice car still - but there are areas where it can’t compete with the Bentley, not least rarity and image. And the Bentley interior is on another level. The technology has overtaken the rest of the car on the S Class, which is the total opposite of what a luxury car should be about.

    • @eventusvantos2770
      @eventusvantos2770 3 года назад +2

      Mercedes Maybach has way better image then rr and bentley since Mercedes literally invented the modern automobile so you can't beat that image and heritage
      And Maybach is way more rare than rr and bentley since Maybach is limited production
      S class interior is far superior than bentley and s class features and technology is light years ahead of rr and bentley combined
      And yes luxury is largely about tech since it's technology that will make experience safer, more comfortable, more relaxing and more enjoyable etc which is what luxury is all about

    • @rare6499
      @rare6499 3 года назад +10

      @@eventusvantos2770 Sorry, you are wrong.
      Mercedes sells hundreds of thousands of cars every year. They aren’t special anymore and haven’t been since arguably the 80’s. It’s just another mass volume manufacturer selling hatchbacks and diesels via PCP. Maybach is simply a trim level to an existing model. And Maybach isn’t rare. You should see the sales figures for Maybach in China alone, where they buy more Maybach’s than RR sell cars globally.
      A large flat panel screen that is cheap to make and offers nothing in the way of craftsmanship is not luxury. The materials on the S Class are inferior to Bentley and RR.

      @@rare6499 sorry you're the one that's wrong
      Mercedes sells a lot and is the most valuable car company in the world precisely BECAUSE they're special
      Eg just because sells a hatchback doesn't take any value away from their project one or amg gt black series or s class etc
      So what if Maybach is an ultra luxury trim level? It's just like how amg is the sport trim level to Mercedes. It makes perfect sense since Mercedes is already so great so it's better to work off of what's already so good rather than trying
      Yes Maybach is rare compared to rr and bentley since it's limited production
      A large panel screen is NOT cheap to make especially not when it's integrated with the centre console and is parallel with the dashboard and packs more tech light years ahead of rr and bentley combined have
      Wrong again. Mercedes has great materials and gorgeous open pore wood dashboard and far superior mood lighting which adds level of luxury rr and bentley can't touch
      Especially Maybach which has even better materials than rr and bentley. Heck you even get alligator skin for crying out loud
      So Maybach/Mercedes blows your bentley and rr out of the water in basically every single way all while being cheaper too

    • @rare6499

      And yes Maybach is rare in comparison. Especially Pullman limo which is even more limited for which there isn't even an equivalent for from rr or bentley

    I think the previous gen S-class had the better interiors. The whole atmosphere was so soothing & shouted out 'this is what is called luxury'. I agree with the reviewer on the point that there is no replacement for tactile physical buttons for controlling something like the air conditioner or the volume controller because it's hard to navigate those options on the touch screens & aren't as handy. Mercedes shouldn't have focussed on upping the tech quotient to this extent, guess nowadays the definition or concept of futuristic automobiles is limited to plonking huge screens & adopting the minimalist approach for controls. It was already a stellar car in terms of luxury & comfort & I would have liked to see what more additions are done to improve the chauffeur driven experience because these cars are focussed to the rear seat experience more than the gizmo front. Nonetheless, it's a great product & will surely retain its title of the world's best car 😊

    Sit in a restaurant with tv's.....when the conversation is taking a dip or even during a conversation notice how it will draw people's eyes. All around us we have screens these days distracting people. Whole families will sit around a table not saying a word because they are looking at screens in front or around them. In a car it also draw's your eye which is dangerous and so annoying because they just cant seem to push enough of them into a car when outside a car we already have too many. Nope, screen is just for convenience. Mercedes has screens on the back seat of the car too, cause it was meant to be a chauffeur's car. And has a big screen on the front for the driver to control some appliances inside the car. Morever I have never heard of this type issue related to touchscreen, lol you're just making up. Listen, I'm not a Mercedes fanboy but I can say about what all you have said doesn't make sense and especially on a car which is tech loaded for the back seat, and has infotainment system on the back seats, what's the real problem is that the back seat passengers can very much anything on the car, like even having access on controling the driver's seat and operating sunroof cause it was meant for the luxury of some V.I.P's any damn rich or important person. We know that Bentley is more luxury and classy and provides better experience than the Mercedes S-class which is supposed to be elegant and feature loaded for the comfort of customers, but don't compare Bentley Flying Spur with Mercedes S-class in case of the technology and innovation it provides.

If a human has to interact with a device whilst keeping eyes on the road, it means that the device should be operated by interacting with other senses. Touch, sound, taste... these touch screens require eyes to operate them. That’s not modern, that’s not advanced. That’s flawed and potentially dangerous. I know car companies are anticipating not needing a human to control the car’s path, but we are not there yet!
