You even have to pay extra for a HomeLink garage door opener! Their own VW/Audi/Porsche/Bentley auto group gives you a HomeLink transmitter as standard equipment in the least expensive VW’s that literally cost 1/10th what this thing costs!
Whenever I think of the Bentley Spur, I think of the VW Phaeton - and that's not to be rude about Bentley but rather complimentary towards VW (and I never thought I'd complement VW). For a fabulous car at a fraction of the price, a long-wheelbase Phaeton would have been my pick back in the mid-'00s. Of course Bentleys always came with added knurled metal touches - worth every penny of the extra fifty grand. Pleased to hear What Car advocating AGAINST a hybrid, for once - but watch out, the gods may be displeased....
I loved the detailed review. Bentley, where do I put my wallet if I can't open the armrest? Wasted opportunity right there. However I'm so inlove with this Bentley
I love the car, but I would rather people not know I was very wealthy. So I have a theoretical conundrum. Theoretical because I am in fact not wealthy.
At this price and in the current market climate the new 7 series cannot be ignored, better engineered and miles ahead in tech; maybe not the best looking car but the Bentley’s looks have aged.
These German Bentleys just don't have the grace and majesty of the old British ones. The Google eyed face looks like a parody of those classic designs. It has presence (because of it's size) but lacks subtlety and beauty.
I take no joy whatsoever in saying this . . . . . that was the most dull car review I have watched in a very long time. I had actually tuned out for some time and then just stopped the video. If you can make a Bentley Flying Spur boring, you really should not be doing this.
I don’t see Bentley lasting long term. There is nothing about this car that much cheaper ones can’t do. The price is ridiculous, the options are absolutely taking the piss! WTF! Greedy and pointless, look at residuals on all Bentleys. You need to be a pretty stupid rich person to buy it. Don’t get me wrong, it looks cool, goes well and has lovely interiors, but it’s 5 times the price it should be. Bentley will die within 10 years
If you had the money, which Bentley would you buy?
Flying Spur, but not in this spec. Either the Azure or Mulliner, with lots of chrome, wood, and beige leather interior.
A maxed out Flying Spur.
Bentayga
well spec’ed Mulsanne or Brooklands.
Not that one
OMG fake plastic vents is unforgivable on a car this price!
Plastic fake vents surprised me!
The V8.....is the proper real world flying spur!
having to pay for the the extras that should be standard as this level is an insult
Even the damned HomeLink garage door transmitter, standard equipment in the same autogroup’s least expensive VW, costs extra on this car.
Can’t believe that at that horrendous price you have to pay extra for adaptive cruise it’s standard on my Toyota Yaris!

At 11:21 I noticed the check engine light on. I guess that's inherited from VW😂
My jetta check engine light has been off and on for over 200k miles. I'm currently at 342k.

I would say very rude to compare it with the Phaeton. I'd say get an eye test today.
Had a 2004 W12 Phaeton and it was a very special vehicle with a spectacular ride.
An unsavoury Prince owns one.
Who??
Who?
Is it Prince Harry
You would think a company like Bentley would be able to adapt the system to charge the battery on the go like the prius.
For 200K only the W12 is worth it the other ones aren't .
For me the V8 version would be quite adequate in power without the gas guzzling W12 !
OK, you've convinced me about its lack of real world green credentials. I guess I might as well just go for the V8, or even the full fat W12...
Ffs how is adaptive cruise not just standard?
"REALLY worth £200k??". NO, that's what it costs.
Can't wait to buy this in 10 years for 30k
Think I'll go out and order 2.
i couldn't afford the wheels lol
Don't get the obsession with making everything black on cars these days. I'd go with the Mulliner (If I had the money :-)!)
Me too! And so many cars are only available with all-black or with base-black interiors. I can’t stand that!
Paying that sort of money, there should not be any 'fake' bits.
The rotating screen isn’t standard???
I loved the detailed review. Bentley, where do I put my wallet if I can't open the armrest? Wasted opportunity right there. However I'm so inlove with this Bentley
And which is interior colour?
Why doesnt it have tvs in the back
£200k. For a V6. Sure. 😂
cant see the point to cars that cant get through width restrictions
Wait for 3 hours to charge the electric for a paltry 25 miles of range? _Absolutely bl00dy well pointless!_
Which exterior colour name of this flying spur ?
There are no standard colours as such. You can have virtually any colour or shade you wish, at a price.
@@Brian-om2hh Thanks for too much early reply
That's not answer of my question!!!!!!!
Not my taste of car. The old mulsanne R was a joy for eyes and ears.
Great review
Wonderful video.
Which colour is this?
British racing green
How close is it to an Audi A8?
You’re buying a Bentley, so you’ll be in the front. You drive a Bentley but you’re driven in a Rolls Royce; thems the rules!
I paid my car the cost of that audio system. Need to save for a few more decades.
Great work
Beautiful car. My dream car for years. Great review. (ps: I don't care how soft your pants are, stop leaning/sitting on the pretty car.)
An awful lot of compromises need to be accepted for a £200,000 plus car. S Class all day long for me.
What compromise do you mean?
@@JJ_97 it's £150k beyond his budget 😂

I have so much dream cars on my list i have to become wealthy😂😂
Can’t help thinking it’s just a super expensive VW Phaeton
Not for the last 7 years 😢
Different platform to the VW Phaeton that was phased out more than 10 years ago.
Who decided plastic fake vents on the front wings was a good idea.
EU pedestrian regulations? Vs metal ones slicing people's legs off?...
Nice looking vw.
Looks like one generation older car. I think finance department of Bentley not giving funds to R&D department.
Love it!
While I appreciate the engineering, I'd buy something else for that money
Probably weighs the same as a small moon

Mulsanne or Flying Spur?
I would buy 3
My next car
Driving a Bentley and wearing a crApple watch is a very poor combination.
Nice
200k hybrid 😂... W12 is the only one.
Black seatbelts look cheap
Dream car
Fake plastic vents only on hybrid , the v8 and w12 need and use the vents for cooling . Who wants a hybrid anyway ? Not me
bro, this is originally in English, very different from American
Very beautiful ❤️

Fake plastic vents on a Bentley 😬
Cool
Help others instead...
Why don’t you show cars that are attainable to the common man not the chosen few.
You mean like the Clio, Fabia, MG3, Kona, Corolla? All of which was reviewed on this channel in the past two months?
Hi Graham - we review all different types of car. You'll find lots of (much) cheaper stuff on our channel too!

PLASTIC , UMMMMM
Wow
Like a bmw just a waste
❤❤❤😊😊😊
Www
overpriced AF
Yuck 🤢
Better than an S Class? Nope! Bentley bejewels it’s interiors and one can’t luxuriate as in an S Class. It all boils down to preference.
fine, have your preference but the fact is, yes, Bentley is way more luxurious than an S Class
The latest S class (W223) has been a nightmare.
So i have an S-class and this is more Luxurious and better build. Now what?
