Hi Nich, been watching your videos since the pandemic! I agree NYC is a great place to be. So many things to do, sports, the parks, the water, etc. I'm glad you're living out your dream!
Yo congrats on the internship! I'm currently still searching for my first as a sophomore but it's been nothing but rejections 😥. Any tips/advice to help a brutha out
ran into this video while running to find something to watch while eating and i gotta say,the quality is great. Its always great to see people do what they enjoy. Hopefully one day i can too work in new york and enjoy what the city has to offer. Also a software engineer from Portugal >)
Happy for you man but why are you doing so many internships is that normal in the US? I Watch your videos from the start and already have been working for more then a year
hearing people call a dishwasher and in unit laundry/dryer a "luxury" and then hearing a monthly price tag of $4500 just reminds that NYC got people in a chokehold of desperation and it's wild to me 😅
@@nicholast Wait wtf no schools in US have this policy. In my school (top 5 CS), about half people get their first internship in junior summer. What if you don't find one due to got rejected by all?
Lots of schools in Canada have internships 3 semesters per year and offer classes in the summer so you can do your internship any time you want, not just the summer
but the taxes takes away a lot of lol. Of course it depends the state, Ike in NYC you get paid good but the taxes there are crazy sigh. Whereas Texas is cheaper so you don't get the same compensation

6 internships and I bet some companies in the labour market will not treat you as you deserved. Greetings from Spain!
Same in the Middle East. No 75 billion years of experience = no job, not even an interview. This is regardless of internships.
