The details! I love this kind of reactions! Funfact: the song in the intro is called "Miasma" and its a ghost instrumental song! Its really great! You would enjoy it!
It's always a pleasure watching you dissect these songs. As someone who doesn't have a musical background it's awesome getting a better understanding of how and why the song just works so well.
Please teach me your ways. Your ear is incredible. As a barbershop harmony lover, I appreciate a good ear! Oh and if you have Ghost, you have everything!
Once I realized he says "closer" as in "one who closes" (the S has a Z-sound) and not "someone who is closer to you" (hard S-sound, native English speakers know what the difference is), now my partner and I always say it LOUDLY when the part comes up. "CloZZZer!"
This is a master class in how to do a reaction to music. Absolutely stellar. The recording quality is fantastic, amazing insight, and charismatic to boot.
You can see the tambourine being played by SwissGhoul in the live performances - called Swiss because he plays so many different parts, like a Swiss Army knife 😂 love your breakdown as always, I always find something new in them!
Ghost/Tobias really are the best rock band out there right now. Top-level songwriting, production, performance, live shows, videos, merch, socials, etc.. A complete package.
I am not a musician, but I think what draws me into Ghosts music so much is that depth and layering you are noticing. Even though the verse/chorus pattern is pretty standard, there is always something fresh and new to hear every time. It’s the same from their older albums to the newer ones. The clever use of new instruments sprinkled in the background has always kept me listening for something I may have missed. They break up the song structure enough to keep it intriguing and keep the song feeling like a new discovery up until the end
You can hear the tambourine in more than one song from Prequelle (album). But I guess you have already figured that out. There's a lot of goodies there. My cd has two bonus tracks, 'It's a Sin' (Pet Shop boys) and 'Avalanche' (L Cohen) I think 'Avalanche' is a genius cover! Thanks for an interesting reaction!
Your reactions are the only ones where I think more pauses are better. I always learn something from them. I'd love your take on Faith and Watcher in the Sky.
I'm a huge ghost fan and love your breakdowns! Each album has a different sound yet it's still recognizably ghost. Can't wait to see you react to some more ghost!
Great breakdown, as always. As a new fan of Ghost I love hearing your thoughts on the technical and artistic choices being made in their music. I would love to hear your thoughts on their cover of Stay. Being a Ghost fan, horror fan and a parent, that song hit different. Thoughts?
Dammit this guy can write such great, complete songs, his pre-chorus hook into the main hook, so many songs that have great parts or sections but the song entire isn't quite all there, it's really tough to write complete songs that have lyrics that fit, I can think up cool riffs all day long, can't write a complete song anywhere near this good though. "Just wanna be, wanna bewitch [be with] you in the moonlight/all night" ...dammit that's so good
Alright, you won me over. Subscribed and im digging your breakdowns. If you take suggestions: twenties off impera and their secret song zenith. Cant wait to hear more!
Good reaction and analysis 🙂 again I just love the way you notice those small details that are intentionally added to the Ghost songs. A trademark of Tobias Forge. Even if he repeats a chorus, he changes something or adds something to keep the listener focused and entertained. Somewhat like Queen did in their time, when Freddie Mercury and Brian May spent days and days in the studio trying more and more creative things to alter or add sound and feel to their eternal music. A lot of good follow up songs have already been mentioned, but given the way you analyse songs, I want to challenge you to react to "Dominion" (intro) and "Twenties" from Ghosts latest album "Impera". Just to showcase the brilliance of Tobias Forge. Subscribed and looking forward to the next one 🙂
Daaamn you really don't miss a thing don't you? Hell, I am mighty impressed and you taught me quite some stuff about a song I already thought I knew all about haha. Take care!
I love your reactions on ghost and how deep you go into the structure of their songs... only a musician can truely appreciate this. You should do a reaction on Miasma... it´s one of ghosts best yet underrated songs
If you want a bit of a left turn in the Ghost rabbit hole, I’d recommend some older spookier stuff as well. The video for Secular Haze is a great watch! Though for something a little more uplifting and light hearted, the video for He Is will be very entertaining!
I have been a fan of Ghost since 2016 when I became aware of them. They are one of the best rock bands out there. Seeing them live is on the bucket list.
I would recommend you to listen to two of Ghost’s songwriters: Vargas & Lagola. The make great music! You can hear how they’re influenced by the 70’s and the 80’s.
¡Me encanta! este tema, me sube el ánimo. Las ghoulettes, Mad es la que toca shaker (creo que se llama así) y antes "Sophia y luego Aurora" la pandereta en Dancer macabre. Jutty también toca la pandereta en otros temas.
I would love to see you react to this song live. Honestly I loved ghost with all my heart before I saw them live but it wasn't until I saw them live that I realised just how intricate and perfect they are
Brilliant analysis again man! 🤘👍Would love to hear your reaction and analysis of some less popular Ghost songs like Satan Prayer off of Opus Eponymous one of my all time favourites.
What if I told you that one man, Tobias Forge is responsible for playing every single instrument in the recordings of all of their songs? The band members are just for playing live.
The details! I love this kind of reactions! Funfact: the song in the intro is called "Miasma" and its a ghost instrumental song! Its really great! You would enjoy it!
Thanks erd! Miasma is added to the list!
@@oldstonerun It's great! Instrumental

Miasma... I love it!

Thanks so much! This is why I do these videos. And I love the music as well

Faith and Rats next! Love your reactions man. Keep it up
Thanks man! Both songs are added to the list!
Tobias said that he likes to incorporate progressive elements in his songs. They are there but you have to listen for them.
You can see the tambourine being played by SwissGhoul in the live performances - called Swiss because he plays so many different parts, like a Swiss Army knife 😂 love your breakdown as always, I always find something new in them!
Ah! Thanks so much for watching along!

Thanks for the tambourine respect. That is a ghoullette also on keyboard.
Do "miasma" for some saxamafaction

Great comment man
and if I'm not mistaken, one of the ghoulettes plays a shaker (aurora maybe)

Thanks Hannah! More ghost on the way!
I love your breakdowns of the music. I know nothing about making music so your videos are so much fun to watch.
Thank you!

A mix of Rocky Horror Picture Show and Eyes Wide Shut
Love watching your reactions! I always learn something and you are very respectful to all the musicians of whom you are reacting to! Thanks so much
My first though was Lionel Ritchie. Super 80's
they are not GHOST , they are GOATS !
Dude you are so likable and that is coming from a real prick
^this comment is everything
I heard some horns in the intro and got really excited 😆 too bad it wasn’t in the main song.
Hahaha
The intro music is from the instrumental 'Miasma', from the same album
