I appreciate the value for money of these Chinese EV's. Heck, I am an investor in one of these companies. Once I finish my current car payment, I might even consider getting one. ALTHOUGH I am a bit worried for our country. There's a reason why CCP subsidizes these cars, and why they are pushing the influx of these EV's here. Some mentioned they are just disposing old inventory. BUT think more LONG TERM: PH has lack of charging infrastructures (currently only from private institutions like SMDC, Ayala, SMC, etc.) I'm sure CCP is stoking the demand, so that when market demand for EV's and PHEVs becomes big enough, CCP WILL OFFER AN INFRASTRUCTURE DEAL to PH Government, which CCP will gain exorbitant amounts of money from, + a form of control over the country's mobility infrastructure, + a bargaining chip to soften PH stance in the West Philippine Sea tensions. I could be wrong, but this is how CCP operates.
CCP subsidies is Western propaganda because old car brands are way behind in EVs. Governments can subsidize products services which they believe is good for the country (ignoring politics/industry lobbying bribes)
Taiwan which has a long-standing political and territorial dispute with China has trade agreements with them. The Australian government has political issues with China but Chinese cars are ubiquitous on Australian roads. The point is, screw your political issues! They are secondary when it comes to business and economics.🙂
The price of this car is tempting and you want to jump in immediately if you have the money. Of course hybrid is the way to go but think about the 2nd time. After you use the car for let say 4 years and you want to sell it, chances are it will lose approximately 50% of its value compared to ICE car which could lose 40% only. The depreciation value of EV and Hydrid cars are much higher compared to ICE car. Unless you will use the car on its entire battery life span then this car is feasible. But then after 8 years of battery warranty, are you going to change the battery to continue using the car or to be able to sell it? I don't think someone will still buy a used hybrid. Some will say the fuel savings are big which is undeniably true, but still you are stuck on the car and could not sell it.
Yes, if you want to overtake, both the engine and the electric motor will work simultaneously to output maximum horsepower, which is why the power outputs of the two are combined.
Now i have my dilemmas which i could choose to buy the xforce or the byd sealion 6? The byd is very efficient in gas consumption because its combine with electric and gas (hybrid), the only problem for this byd is really fragile in flooded areas and the availability of spare parts. The one feature of xforce which ireally luv is the 4 drive modes which is incomparable on which the byd sealion doesn't have.
This looks promising. but will have to see owners of this drive it for a year and see how good is it still. Cuz this reminded me of geely coolray. The controversy on that car is crazy! 😂 still a great car, it's just that they have crap service. And knowing this car having engine hybrid and electric, that's alot of maintenance.

Was considering Jetour Dashing PHEV at 1.9M. But I'm going for this.
This is Slater Young’s new car!
Not this. But he bought the BYD Tang 7 seater EV
I was expecting 2M plus actually, very surprised indeed. BYD is very popular in China, now I know why. Good luck to ANY car in this price range, you're going to have something to worry about.
It’s made in China! 🤣

Here because of Slater Young. 😅 Kryz did not mention the brand so had to find it pa.
The car bought by slater was a BYD Tang, 7seater EV their most expesive vehicle released here.
Makes sense since they have excess electricity from their solar panels. Free power to use the car 🎉
this is gonna eat the Mitsubishi Xforce and other japanese crossovers in the pricepoint, alive.
I am very tempted very temped after test drive. One thing though they just not long ago showed off GEN 4 drivetrain and that can do 2000 km. Might come this or next year.

Gotta love Chinese car manufacturers, they are pushing competitors to beat their price and features.
BUT think more LONG TERM:
PH has lack of charging infrastructures (currently only from private institutions like SMDC, Ayala, SMC, etc.)
I'm sure CCP is stoking the demand, so that when market demand for EV's and PHEVs becomes big enough, CCP WILL OFFER AN INFRASTRUCTURE DEAL to PH Government, which CCP will gain exorbitant amounts of money from, + a form of control over the country's mobility infrastructure, + a bargaining chip to soften PH stance in the West Philippine Sea tensions.
Why get an XForce when you can get this instead?
Because japanese vs chinese
Damn right
Same sentiments people had before about Korean cars. Now look how the times changed.
Why pay China to kick your ass?
Same with phones back then, they say china phones are not reliable. Look at Xiaomi now and other chinese brand.

@@BabyBoyJr. well, it will be a nightmare for the owner after a year
@@yslee1401 do you own one?
@@BabyBoyJr. why would I want to own a vehicle that depreciates by 75% within 12 months?
Oh my Gooood looks good!!

DOES THE COMBUSTION ENGIN CHARGE THE BATTER
😮 the Titanic reference 😅
I wonder why they always combine the power from ice and e-motor, and react like the two will work at the same time.
Marketing purposes probably kaya cinoconbine yung power figures para mag mukhang mas malakas.
Yes, if you want to overtake, both the engine and the electric motor will work simultaneously to output maximum horsepower, which is why the power outputs of the two are combined.

Is BYD Sealion back cargo can load a golf bag?
Now i have my dilemmas which i could choose to buy the xforce or the byd sealion 6? The byd is very efficient in gas consumption because its combine with electric and gas (hybrid), the only problem for this byd is really fragile in flooded areas and the availability of spare parts. The one feature of xforce which ireally luv is the 4 drive modes which is incomparable on which the byd sealion doesn't have.
