We were camping about 30m away and I was curious about your unusual dome-shaped tent. If I'd have known you had food like that and single malt I might have come knocking! Good tip on the down booties - might have to grab a pair.

I have used the very same setup many times in all weather going back ten years. Great especially when used as a walking pole and taking a break from heavy rain. Closing the front with a tarp and additional guy ropes ensure it endures buffeting from the wind😅
Great but if kit, never tried it as a walking pole, good idea 👍
The wall of my umbrella unzips, I pack that away & leave the spike in place then wrap that tightly around itself.
That umbrella tent would be ideal for summer. I've just ordered that mini stove too. Great camp and as always great food.
Thanks Rob, yes the umbrella woul be great in summer or on a rainy Day doing a cook up. the mini stove is ok to keep in my EDC, it is not as good as my real Trangia.
@@aabbushcraft I bought it for its size. I like using the trangia burner but the whole thing is huge.
