    Thank you. I used them all also on winging and kiting with my Flysurfer. I love them, as they are very high lift to drag ratio and for that easy to ride if you love the speed.
    I also love the Skinny 40 the most after get used to it. I use a shimm at the rear wing to lift me higher on the mast.

      @@dominichoskyns9091 Really?! Even though its 52 mm (~2 in) wider, it turns better? Must be the narrower tips, thinner overall cord, and forward geometry of the wing. Interesting.

    I had the 1201 for few months now and you are 100% correct. The glides amd low end are insane. However, I feel like it is a bit too big of a gap between my 1300 especially for SUP foil downwind with paddle especially in our light Florida conditions. Do you know if Axis has any plans to release any new foils in the 1400 range that would fill the gap? PNG 1010 is a good option but pretty old foil section at this point.

      Nothing else in the pipeline that I know of, at least not yet. The spitfire has a couple of choices that could suit your need. I thoroughly recommend you check them out, they have a huge range and are possibly the most versatile foil I’ve ever used

    Thank you for this great presentation. It's so hard to choose between the 1001 and the 951 for surf foiling and winging. I'm 70kg and I think my level could be described between intermediate and advance. I currently ride the ART 1099, it is perfect for sup downwinding but really too big for winging and surf foiling except if the waves are very smalls. I think my choice will be more the 951.

    • @dominichoskyns9091
      @dominichoskyns9091  Год назад +1

      I find the 951 amazing for winging in strong winds. The 1001 is as small as I can go for surf foiling at the moment, (the spitfire 840 is the smallest I can go atm) but I am 82kg and surf foiling is my weakest of all the foiling disciplines. If you are a good standard, at 70kg I suspect that you'll be able to handle the 951, but it depends on your skill level and the conditions you ride in.

    Great review as always, thank you! How would you compare stall speed of 1001 and 899? I'm currently riding 899 prone in smallish waves and would like to be able to pump longer. After linking 3 or 4 waves I'm cooked. I'm 80kg btw. Cheers!

      The 1001 nearly doubled my wave count and pumping distance compared to the 899. It’s so much easier to keep its speed up. I loved the 899 but the 1001 blew my mind. It’s my favourite foil

  • @slappysurf

    Thanks for the review. One thing that SABfoil lists for their foils is the stall speed, which I find quite nice to have. Do you have any estimates for the stall speeds of the range Dominic?

    Nice in depth review, I love my HPS 1050, what would you replace it with, I think you know the type of wind chop we get near Barcelona for reference?

    • @dominichoskyns9091
      @dominichoskyns9091  7 месяцев назад +2

      The only ART pro that would come close woof be the 1201, but the spitfire 1100 or the new 1180 (depending on your weight) would be a closer replacement for the 1050..Both would deal with the conditions in Barcelona really well

    Another amazingly helpful review. Thank you.
    That said, I have to give you a little bit of stick. Did you notice any performance differences after taking them out of the sand ? That would be absolute heresy to the kite foiling speed freaks at our local who swear that you can't even touch a foil with bare hands for fear of getting oil residue on them !

    • @dominichoskyns9091

      None whatsoever. If I go to a beach where they hang out I’d probably do it on purpose just to wind them up😜

    Thank you Dominic. This was badly needed. I could have listened to this for an other hour. Still a bit confused. Coming from the 899, 999, 1099 and 1201 I am still not sure if I need anything from this range. Winging and now downwinding (!) on a big lake mostly,. Sometimes mediterranean sessions in Europe. Probably rather the spitfire range...? hmmm....

    • @dominichoskyns9091
      @dominichoskyns9091  Год назад +1

      I think the best way to look at it is - do you feel the need for a performance upgrade? If not then don't worry. The truble is that if you try them you'll probably not be able to resist buying them because they are that good🤣

    • @dominichoskyns9091
      @dominichoskyns9091  Год назад +1

    Can you use the standard Black Fuse or need to invest in the Advanced Black Fuse?

    • @dominichoskyns9091
      @dominichoskyns9091  Год назад +2

      You can use either, but the advance is probably better because it reduces the lift at high speeds, so this means less front foot pressure. TBH the best fuse is the one you are used to. Unless you are having problems with your setup then you should be fine.

    Hi Dom! thanks for another video full of great info as always. I was going to ask you about Spitfire wings but now, I am not so sure if the new art pros would be an option. I was winging in nice waves in Pacasmayo, Peru, using my ART 999 but it seemed to me a little "stiff" when trying to carve tight turns...(may be it was me and not the wings :() anyway, if you can take a quick look at this video to see me trying to surf over there, and give me a hand on choosing the right wing for the job (I weight 80 kg), cheers
