Incredibly Perfect.....👏👏👏👏👏
👁🗨🙂😊😃👏👏👏👏👏👍
I expected the entire page to be basically saturated with black notes.
Good news. Unfortunately nobody else In the world can play it.
For all you beginners out there, this is a great warm up exercise
this is not for beginners
@@franzcamus29 woosh

😂😂
So he plays rhythm guitar, lead guitar and basically drums all while managing to nail the solo. Possibly the greatest cover I move every heard
He’s knocking out the Gilmour solo while simultaneously playing the Waters part. Amazeballs. 🔥 🎸
Absolutely right on 👍 I cannot believe the control. Incredible!
Plus Nick's drumming.
@@vbu615 corrected, thank you.
Funny thing is didn't Gilmour record the bass on The Wall? I could be wrong but he often did bass tracking on studio recordings
The level at f difficulty is truly unreachable
Searched RUclips to learn Chords.
Ran across this guy. Smashed my guitar into 100 pieces. There are people who play, and People who that admire people who play.
I admire People that play.
Band is quarantined and can't get together to perform? No problem. KENT IS HERE TO SAVE THE DAY!
I highly recommend the new classical guitarist phenomenon Alexandra Whittingham and her rendition of Roland Dyens "suanade #3" . you fans will be enlightened to know her . ken too can take notes as she sits and delivers.
@@muz977ify Ken is better than her, so no need to sit and take notes.
@@tekatoanimeyt3206 . perhaps cheque out stephanie jones.. j.s. bach's "presto" 1001.. She is a new phenomenon as well. Ken is great and i am pretty amazed by his talent at such a young age. and i beleive he will be monsterous one day.. Stephanie jones is worth the listen ..
@@muz977ify good looking and nice sound but I prefer this guy not because he is perfect (which he certainly is not) but due to enthusiasm and vitality of his interpret. ruclips.net/video/9zGfQ0MSxuM/видео.html
muz977ify Stephanie is a classical guitarist the same with Alexandra Whittingham. They use a classical guitar, so they have different style of playing from Kent which is a fingerstyle guitarist. Dont get me wrong, they are all good.
Best acoustic cover of this song on youtube
Да!!!
Yes definitely
Watch Gabriela Quelvedos Version
BRAVO! 👏👏👏👏👏🎧

NO WORDS ...IT'S MIRACLE.
The one Avatar no one talks about.
The Last String-bender.
Lol nice one

Chicken in the corn
This is not possibile..The solo part is not human. What a performance!!!!!!
It's mind blowing that he can play the solo WHILE keeping the drum/bass going. That's super saiyan god super saiyan status right there
Indeed!
Also that trademark double bend is really tough on acoustic.
Totally agree. Don't think I've ever seen anyone do this so comprehensively. If you weren't watching, you'd think it was at least a trio.
Yep!... Simply mind-boggling, and when I watch great finger-style players like this, they make it look so easy and effortless, I (for a brief moment) think that I can immediately go pick up my guitar and quickly learn and play it myself... :-(
It's all to do with the alternate tuning. All very clever.
Not just excellent play, but also with full understanding of the soul of the song.
His phrasing in the solo section is exquisite. Kent is a fantastic player. He has a ton of technique, but his musicality is even further advanced than the technique. He speaks guitar like a language.
It is unreal how he can play and make you feel like there is a whole band playing
One man band 👍
hole was a terrible band...
@@crazyharmless666 my mistakes whole band
WHAT...THE....ACTUAL... F....!!!! I'm a massive...MASSIVE Pink Floyd fan.... I know this song off by heart, chord by chord.. Solo by solo! And i can categorically state that is the absolute BEST acoustic version i have EVER.. E V E R heard!!! Fantastic arrangement!!! Just, WOW..!
Right? He literally has all the parts in there.
Andy P I listen to this over and over again and it just keeps getting better! This kid hears everything and brings it back to us in a way shows us what we missed. Beyond the flawless technical execution is some deeper connection to the music and his listeners.
I've played this through the years in different bands, I'm very aware of all aspects of it as well. Yeah, this was a really good version of it. You say kid, I almost don't want to know how old he is. Dudes blessed with some long fingers and major talent.
Have you heard Gavino Loche's version? It's amazing too!
@@redwhiteblue9866 This is nothing but dedication, perseverance and will to go beyond.
Do not understate one's achievements with words such as "blessed".
As if he reached this level just because he was born with a gift and not because he practiced over and over again.
You don't born a prodigy, you work your way to become one.
(Sorry for the rant)
Every time i watch Kent i am asking myself "How is this possible?", every time! He is a grand master of arrangement of source melody.
The best acoustic version I ever heard!
This is absolutely insane, the ability to keep the bass and percussion along with the melody is madness
Holy cow, unbelievable! I love how he nailed an iconic guitar solo WITHIN a guitar solo!
Yasssss
That’s the part that made my jaw drop!
spiriit..
A rare moment of joy when humans add beauty to what is already magnificent creation. What a great way to recognize and honour the best of us.
Impossible not to tap your foot while listening to this. Absolute masterpiece.
let me borrow this! :)
I like how he added the high e string in on the chorus to simulate the children singing in the song. Magnificent!
No education ... all we need is Kent n his guitar ...😍😍😍😍
The best and the most underrated Fingerstyle guitarist in YT
So, let's spread Kent himself and his music to all of the world!!!
The little nuances is what I'm blown away by. The muting of that bassline between all the other stuff going on.... just incredible, dude@
Yeah.... little things like that is what really made it groove. He covered every important part of the song.
Kent has a case to be the best guitarist ever to exist. His body of work speaks for itself, it,s godly level stuff. Scary that he's still so young.
The Best fingerstyle
I watched this 10 times and counting. Unbelievable.
wait until you hit 100 times and still don't get tired of it. it sucks to be addicted.
U N B E L I E V A B L E. I was amazed until he hit the solo, then I had to pick my jaw off the floor.
Yeah, me too. This is my this years favorite.
absolutely, bass and solo together, no dubs o_0 !
My jaw is still on the floor!
im so impressed. i did not think an acoustic guitar could make those sounds.
semi-acoustic*
Still impressive though
Not all.. only those played by some overtalented hard working bastards..
Genius at work
This is the best guitar player in the world.
Holy cow , plays the baseline and the solo at the same time , that’s like juggling, while riding a unicycle and reading the newspaper at the same time . Very hard , Chet Atkins stuff
Baseline, drums, solo and vocal melody at times. It’s completely different level stuff. Chet Atkins is a God among finger style guitar players but I don’t know what I just witnessed here. 😮
The most accurate and harmonic cover, with bass, rhythm, vocal and solo parts. That's Art!!!! Congrats 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
And percussion
@@mother7007 yes! that's makes him above all other finger style artists! correct me if i'm wrong:)
@@linkcubuspark No! You obviously haven't seen Tommy Emmanuel :)
@@T.R.U.T.H.. The original comment says "accurate" and he's right about it. Tommy is all feeling but he's not accurate.
@@T.R.U.T.H.. This performance and composition is beyond Tommy's style and perhaps skills.. I don't want to make a comparison but what this dude has done here is exceptional.
I just love how accurate your arrangements are. Its a sign of the level of maturity and respect you have for the composition and the artist rendition. You're obviously very talented, extremely musically intuitive and have high personal standards. All genius qualities that most of us lack in some way, myself included!!. I thoroughly enjoy your arrangements because I don't hear your ego if that makes sense. You're not making any changes to make it easier for you or add anything extra, you are just capturing every nuance you can and doing it tastefully and that deserves some mad respect. More people need to hear you! The future of the music world is going to be ok as long as we have Kent in it!
Great comment! Very precise! I also think the same: how Kent can capture remarkable notes, many times not even from a guitar, into his arrangements? It is a touch of genius of his.
Thank you for writing exactly what I had in my mind ... With my english, I would have spent a full day to translate it :)
"I dont hear your ego" is the key: I feel the same, and it is the most important aspect of his amazing style. Hope he could preserve this, it makes the difference.
You're a talent yourself - superb comment!
Most amazing thing I've ever seen played on a guitar period.
He is playing the drums, bass guitar, e-guitar and the vocals with one instrument. Incredible!
And he bend that high note around 15th fret while doing all that
Incredible technique. Probably frowned upon in the Classical Guitar fraternity but this is not the Segovia generation, this is the new breed of guitarist.
That silk touch and effortless playing 😇!!
Fabulous! The guitar sings the words of the song so clearly! And the rhythm? WOW!
Mr. Nishimura... your video is AMAZING! I've been a guitar player for 30 years (not nearly as talented as you but striving to be).. and I just have to express my appreciation to you for sharing your videos. Amazing work, amazing style, please keep on playing and sharing!
I've been playing guitar for years and I wouldnt have believed this until I saw it with my own eyes - amazing
So much to say here. So MUCH technical brilliance. But for me, the high point is the pinched harmonics toward the end of the guitar solo. They're hard enough to play on their own. But while playing the rhythm and backing at the same time? Bravo.
This kid has magic in his hands.
It's amazing how this kid captures every nuance of the song. Just awesome!
OK, Kent. You win. You are the best guitarist in the world. 👍
I've had this on repeat for roughly 15 times with my headphones on in the dark with my eyes closed. It's that bouncing rhythm, with his right hand its like his whole right arm is a Metronome; I've never heard rhythm with that kind of feeling and consistency from a finger picker. The intonation of those notes he's hitting truly bring that song to life. I'm simply overwhelmed in the best possible way by a musician that is, (in my humble opinion) a once in a generation talent that is single (double) handedly evolving the definition of what it means to play a guitar. Sure, there are a lot of other amazing finger picking geniuses out there that are incredibly talented but this is the first time I've ever come across something like this. I looked up both Tommy Emmanuel 's and Kent's versions of Drive My Car and Lady Madonna and I gotta give it to Kent, his version of those songs sound complete where as Tommy's (Without taking away anything from that incredibly gifted player in his own right) versions seem almost choppy and empty of notes that Kent was playing. Makes one wonder if they could be that good at anything in life. I suppose I shall try to find out.
#Motivated
Abeasus you hit it right on the head. Since I will never, ever, be able to play like him, I think I should set my goal learning to describe for others why they should listen to Kent.
Kent is the living embodiment of "it's what you don't play" that really stands out.
Not only is this incredible, but Kent never seems to make a mistake either. The guy is a machine
I wonder how many takes he takes, hes just incredible. Whenever I'm feeling super shitty I listen to kent because its the only thing that helps my soul
He does live shows!!
@@thesanbro9164 check the liveshow he just released
He has the odd slip I'd say but that's the ultimate rounder for such a talent. Only Allah is perfect...
Is the greatest living guitarist a kid from Japan? Maybe. Amazing.
Wait, we've got bass, rhythm and drums here all in one. It's Gilmour, Waters and Mason all rolled together on one instrument. Incredible.
Kent Nishimura, the man, the myth, the legend. God speed you magnificent bastard. The world is too good for you :)
This is just incredible. Kent just gets better and better.
the cover of the solo is absolutely fantastic
It was already an unreal arrangement at that point, and then he perfectly layers in the solo anyway, just literally taking the mick..
How can your performance be so cool? Thank you.
Dude I have seen this a million times, but it feels new every time. The way you pulled solo along with chords and bass, phenomenal!!!
yeah, that is so weird...i don't even listen to originals like that....repeatedly. some kind of voodoo magic going on....
those pinched harmonics at 3:06 and on are absolutely outrageous.
looks so easy but is another planet away in difficulty. love this guy for how good he can make it sound while looking like he isn't even trying hard. genius.
He played the solo note for note, bass note for note, and percussion at the same time. That’s pretty fucking great.
My routine for enjoying Kent's play - After I check that my speakers are cabled well to give a good bass and clear mids, I first listen while strolling down the comments...and comparing my experience with all you guys who are in awe, then I listen a second time watching how he did it. .. :)
I always look forward to be surprised by his selection of music. But I'm hoping for a day he touches the repertoire of legend Tatsuro Yamashita.
БРАВО....уменья, выше крыши, снимаю шляпу... слушать ----это, сплошное удовольствие !!!!!!!!!!!
Even watching him do it, I don't understand how he manages to work every defining nuance of the song into his transcription. Amazing.
Kent you are the chosen one
I was feeling quite pleased with myself having learnt the solo... then this clever bastard comes along and does the solo AND all the other parts at the same time!
Absolutely wonderful.
lmao i was just thinking that
Yeah ain't he something
🤣 you’re not alone :)
Haha
Watched this so many times. Kent’s rendition just captures the whole song in a nutshell.
His guitar performance is amazing and amazing ^^ Thank you ^^
Great, indeed ! Hi from France
As a guitar player myself this is beyond amazing. The solo and rhythm simultaneously that sounds flawless is almost impossible.
I am listening and crying a little, because it is sounds beautiful and it looks genius.
Best cover of this I've seen on here so far - the rhythm, the bass, the solo... awesome.
You have a fantastic style of playing. I have been playing the guitar for 25 years & you are light years ahead of me. I could never be this good if I lived a thousand years. Excellent. 👍👍👍
Excellent creative way to get all the parts in there! YOU ROCK!
WHAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!! I have no words...other than VERY-WELL-DONE!... my word....REALLY?!?!??? I saw this video a while back....and after seeing it again....I'm still completely blown away Kent.

Absolute music heaven!Pink Floyds surely enjoy it!
2:12 another brick on the head...this kid really got some mad skills!
Whenever I watch/listen to you play, I have this massive grin on my face, my head starts nodding and my feet start tapping! It’s not just your mad skills that are so impressive, it’s also the “feeling” that I admire. You are a legend, mate! Keep on sharing. Please!
A human can play this good? Holy crap! 🤯
...that rake at 2:34, spot on👍
Well, I guess I will say something else lol. You hear people replay songs and during so you mostly just hear someone replaying parts of the music, a tiny part of the overall experience which can be good. But when a single person replays a song so well and completely encompassing that it instantly captures part of your mind and takes you deep into the reassesses of your subconscious, wrapping your thoughts in the memories of the past, taking you back to the very reasons those thoughts are still there and can be recalled, well sir....that is talent and truly magic. The last few cords where like being awoken from a deep dream, one that you did not want to leave. Thanks so much for the work and time you spend on your craft and thanks for taking me back to all those wonderful memories I have from those first days of listening to the Floyd. NEVER stop playing.
Perfect! 😲
