Damn man, that is insane. This song has been "covered" so many times and people have tried to make it their own and succeeded in that, but failed in making it a true tribute to the original song. You sir, have 100% succeeded in doing it as yours, yet staying so absolutely true to the original - This is the only cover I've heard that I've listened to the entire thing, normally I get maybe 30 seconds in and nix it.
I've actually played this song for 40 years, too, and it's been flawless -- of course, I was playing the LP which I hid inside the Christmas music jacket and only listened to when my parents weren't around -- ha. I "almost" got to see them live in 1973. I grew up and lived in a small, rural town in central Virginia, and of course we all lied to our parents and said we were going to see the Carpenters (whom I also loved), in Richmond and spending the night with somebody's aunt and uncle, when in truth, they were playing in DC, which was about a 4-hour drive away, and one of our friend's older brother was in college at Georgetown, and he was going to buy our tickets if we paid for his - tickets on the floor were $7. But at the last minute, one of the moms got suspicious and then found a picture of Robert Plant in those "leave nothing to the imagination" right jeans and home we stayed. My older brother tried to intervene and say he needed to wear his pants that tight to hit those high notes. Ha. But you're correct. Unless you've played both an electric and an acoustic, you can't know how almost impossible it is for him to have played like that on an acoustic guitar. A true master and a joy to watch. Best wishes, Patricia PS: I love watching the few videos of when they played this live in England and at Madison Sq. Gardens. They always closed their concert with this song, and Jimmy kind of sways as though he's rocking a baby in his arms for the beginning.
I can’t imagine how it feels to be able to play such beautiful music whenever you want, its a blessing you have. The best i’ve seen with the instrument. Continue on bro💪🏽 .
@@charleswettish8701Actually? If you put 3 hours of practice in a day, which is more than most people have the free time for, it would take close to 50 years to reach 50000 hours.
@beanie0112 Of course not, it's a totally different style using techniques that aren't typical of Jimmy Page's repertoire.. I think, if you asked Jimmy Page to play an acoustic version of Stairway, it would be completely different from this. I think, technically speaking, this is more inspired by the likes of Tommy Emmanuel and Chet Atkins.

This is the craziest and most amazing version I have ever heard by a long shot! I was more and more intrigued as the song went on to see how he’d play out each segment of the song with a different finger style. It was so intense that I was actually getting nervous about how he’s manage to match “one of the greatest solos of all time” to the rest of the song. Needless to say it was brilliant and masterfully done. ... This enhanced my life in many ways and I thank you for those wonderful 7:21 seconds. Not a moment of my life was wasted listening to this masterpiece.
This is AMAZING!!! Ive heard it numerous times and it just dawned on me that Lucas’ arrangement of Stairway to Heaven sounds like it was written by MOZART for guitar!!! All the lightning quick flourishes between what sounds EXACTLY like the original song and pinpoint accuracy, timing and “feel” reminds of Mozart’s style. Genius!!!

Gives me goosebumps that one man and one guitar can nail that tune. Absolutely brilliant.
This was unbelievable! I saw Led Zeppelin play this live in Los Angeles back in 1975. You brought back memories. Thank you.
I wish I was there too :/
I can’t imagine how it feels to be able to play such beautiful music whenever you want, its a blessing you have. The best i’ve seen with the instrument. Continue on bro💪🏽 .
Not a blessing. Pure passion and hundreds of hours of work to get to this level of mastery. ❤️
It's not a blessing. Certainly he has aptitude, but he worked his a** off for hundreds of thousands of hours, that's why he's this amazing.
@@shannaveganamcinnis-hurd405 Lot more than hundreds, but yes. I personally have probably 50,000 hours, and I'm a very solid "average" player. :)
@@charleswettish8701Actually? If you put 3 hours of practice in a day, which is more than most people have the free time for, it would take close to 50 years to reach 50000 hours.
And this guy does not look even close to old enough to even be approaching “hundreds of thousands”. Your numbers look very off
Best version I’ve ever heard........WOW!!!!!! I just don’t see how this could be any more clean. Perfection.
❤🎸
Please listening arrangement from Luca stricagnoli
I like the addition of all the little details jimmy page tended to add live. Really fills out this arrangement!
Thanks!
@beanie0112 you clearly haven't heard page on acoustic guitar. It's more pristine precision and sound then his playing on electric.
Just great Lucas, you really took this to another level
Thanks, Yoni. You did a great job there too!
Awesome
THE BEST VERSION! Such a Phenomenal TALENT!
Thanks, Marvelous!
Better than the original.
@@lucasimbiriba
Thank you, I just quit playing the guitar today... 🙄
I have no words to express my feelings. I am humbled by this man’s talent and obvious passion. We need a lot more of that in this world
I love he incorporates the elements of Jimmy's neat little trills when he played this live.
The 972 dislikes are all guitar center employees
Hahahaha
lolol
i'd be curious to see what the 186 dislikers do better in their life... This is respectful to the original. Well done Lucas.
all thats left of them anyways haha...
....Or Page is jealous !
When a guitarists playing stokes emotions you know they have some real talent. Especially if you watch the video all the way through.
Thanks Garrett!
Absolutely genius 👏. Best version ever been played on any guitar. Amazing performance, one of best peices of music I have seen.
Good god man ! I lived breathed and played everything Zep since childhood. I learned to play guitar because of Zep. I was at their last show in the US, Oakland ca. This rendition brought me to me knees and literally made me well up. You absolutely captured the soul of the greatest rock band in history. The second time through I was full throating the lyrics I haven’t done in years. Brilliant work my brother. Thank you.
People disliking don't even know what he was sharing. He made the sound as if someone was running up the stairs and falling back and got up. Beautiful and so talented. Just wow.
Thanks David
I've been playing for decades and after watching him play I realize I wasn't really playing anything at all. This is pure talent, well done Lucas.
As a led zeppelin fans, that is very impressive play and the best stairway to heaven fingerstyle I've ever seen bro! Keep up the good work 🤘🔥
Thanks, Aldy!
This should have well over a million views, incredible man, seriously.
Thanks, man!
Accidentally just stumbled upon you Sir Lucas , whilst consuming a lot of alcohol . I thought you were superb . Now i have drank myself sober, I may believe, you are the greatest Acoustic guitarist ever. Just saying .
Thanks a lot David!🤜🏼🤛🏼
😂😂😂David😂😂😂good one! I just stumbled on him, and I think I'll keep him🤗
@@robinemery Tbh I can't think of anyone better but I'm a casual. Can you give me someone who's better so I can check them out?
I love watching his head move around it’s so fun to watch his hair and his facial expressions. This guys is absolutely amazing❤
Espetacular, PQP!!
Valeu 🤟🏼🧙🏻♂️🎸
There are so many stairway covers. This is probably the best.
I haven't had the urge to listen to Stairway to Heaven in years. Just by chance, I thought I might see what fingerpicking the entire song on an acoustic guitar might look like. OMG Lucas is Great! I really enjoyed all that you have done with this piece . . . it doesn't get any better than this. I wish you success in getting lots of exposure
I wanted to say something deep and meaningful, but all I can manage is WOW!
Singularily the most amazing demonstration of guitar brilliance I've ever seen.
I've been playing guitar for 35 years and I am humbled.
Awesome, my friend. Thanks for your words❤🎸
Bravo, incroyable
You should be paid as much as athletes get paid. I can’t imagine the time and effort spent into getting the amount of skills you have and deliver FLAWLESSLY. That was beautiful.
Thanks, Daniela. It's true that I've spent most of my life over a guitar. Thanks for the observation ;)

@Myself andI just say you’re jealous and go
@Myself andI oh, it seems like someone is in desperate need of attention 😭
Sir you are the reason that I will never stop playing and practicing my guitar, cause if one day I have just 1% of your skills I would be happy. Thank you
Keep it up Mikhail! You'll get there❤🎸
@@lucasimbiriba yes sir u bet, thank u so much
It kinda does the opposite to me. Just when I think I’m getting somewhere I hear this and just want to give up and throw my guitar out the window lol
@@kenwickcook8413 I do understand but I can't give up just like that, remember "what is the point in knowing everything, when we can always challenge ourselves to be better than we are now". Don't stop dude keep learning.
I shall never quit, I have too much fun, however there is that moment of “why bother?” Lol.
It is a wonderful gift to express exactly what you are trying to play with your God givin hands .. I have been playing 30yrs and I still can't project exactly what I am hearing in my head the frustration is excruciating to the point I have sold everything guitar related and bought it all again twice I am so glad to see you doing exactly what I have been trying to do all these years.... god bless never stop you are fantastic at expression all the best JOHN from easthaven Ct
Thanks a lot for your words, John. I must confess that I had great throughout my history. It helps a lot to have some experienced people trying to help you cross bridged. I hope you are able to express the way you feel someday :) cheers♥️🎸
Forget about how great this dude is- He's got the all-time best guitar faces.
Thanks, Kovi. Your words inspire me to keep on going. Have a nice day 🤟🏼❤
This isn’t a cover, this is an experience. Amazing
Thanks, man!
That performance is quite frankly the most impressive piece of art that I’ve seen on RUclips.
Live version to boot!
Bravo!
Thanks, Steve!
Genius!!!
Possibly the best interpretation I've ever heard of StH... Absolutely stunning, well played 👏👏👏
this deserves billions of views.
Thanks!
INSANE. I havent seen a guitarist like this in a long... time...or close to never. Wish someone in Zeppelin would watch this
Me too! Thanks bro
Just like heart at the Kennedy center.
They were amazing
And led zeppelin was sitting and amazed at the version of it.
@@mylord4321 that was a great rendition!
Absolutamente impecable!
Your skill is mind-blowing, sir. I've been playing music for thirty-five years and I'm nowhere close to being at this level. I also wanted to say thank you for these amazing acoustic versions of songs like this one and Hotel California. Hearing unplugged versions of songs I want to learn makes it loads easier, lol. Keep on jamming!
I can't for the life of me figure out what the dislike crowd is thinking when they click thumbs down here. Jealousy is the only thing I can come up with. This guy is simply incredible and dedication to a craft like he obviously has never deserves a negative response.
Because they’re a bunch of haters.
they probably work at a guitar store
Imagine going into a guitar shop, start playing this song, the employees thinking: here we go again... And then pulling off this!
🤣🎸🤟🏼
🤣 the forbidden song lol
Wasnt that smoke on the water
They'd probably give you a free Gibson
@@lucasimbiriba would love to see a reaction of people of you playing this in a store hahaha
When you pick a perfect song and improve it. Thank you for your contribution to the world of sounds.
Led Zeppelin in flamenco style. Spectacular!

WOW! My mouth was open through the whole performance! It's more than unbelievable, It should not be possible.... But, Lucas did it... Right?
My mouth was open the whole way through! Holy crap that was just brilliant

Unbelievable... Amazing
I can see Robert Plant with tears in his eyes. Bravo Lucas !!!
The only version allowed in guitar stores
Hopefully!

In my 38 years of playing i never saw anyone with such solid technique. Hats off.
Thanks, Ray :)
Arriba LUCASSSSS
The 1.4K dislike are people that thought this was a cover. I just saw a guy playing his own version of a classic, and it was phenomenal. Well played Lucas!
Jimmy Page is one of my all-time favorite guitarists, this rendition was beautiful I am sure he would approve.
So sweet. Felt like being in heaven listening to this
Woah, hold up, bro. That may have been the GOAT cover of Stairway. It’s definitely the best fingerstyle picking on acoustic guitar I have or will probably ever hear of that cover.
When someone master's an instrument, it's always good.
Master technician. I don't think I've ever seen anyone totally brutalized the entire fretboard just like I saw this man do. What a tribute to LZ
Stairway to heaven is by far my favourite song to play on guitar, and I sure will try to master Lucas’ cover. Great work!
Good luck
You have an unparalleled gift of being able to retain the essence and spirit of the material, without simply copying the notes and genuinely create something new. As always marvelous.
