I have been listening to this song for the better part of my life. It's my birthday song, the first thing I listen to as the clock passes midnight. This is the first song my son heard. @@mokaryn naaah he's more insane than animenz, animenz is great but there's pianists above him, and he didn't invent a new way to play the instrument like Kent did. Also his most difficult piece is his unravel and it had a lot of great covers, as for Kent we have yet to hear someone cover one of his songs and not sound like shit.

This is just stunning. Your interpretation of this legendary song really delivers a great deal of honor to the original. I think most die hard fans of The Pink Floyd would agree. Hell, I think that The Pink Floyd themselves would agree. Job well done!

Yep!!! I'll go with that! I keep telling people he's not old enough at 18 to be this good! It takes 40+ years to get to this level!!!! I've been playing for right at 40 and I'm not even half way there with people telling me all the time how amazingly talented I am.

I love how he stays so true to the recorded vocal & guitar solo melodies... some of us are suckers for the original melodies which were so memorable & classic, rather than improvised versions...
If he was a creator, he wouldn’t be covering songs. Also, this sounds awful. Music is more than being technically adept, this has no soul.

It’s otherworldly. I’m running out of superlatives for this guy and when the words “Time”, “Pink Floyd” and “Kent Nishimura” appeared on my screen, I exclaimed “OH YES!” out loud. It’s an event for me now when Kent puts a new track up.
Its absolutely insane how this young guy could have had enough time to learn this amazing version since his birth...

I’ve been playing guitar for 36 years and have seen some pretty awesome guitar ideas. This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. The metronome with the fingernails was epic, but he just took a bunch of pretty basic techniques and combined them into the best idea ever.

Unbelievable!!! You may be the greatest guitarist ever, in history. I play and sing this song and have done so with a band with excellent musicians. Kent, you do on a single guitar (overlayed), what it takes 4 musicians to perform. I am continually amazed at your ability to do the entire arrangement. Non-musicians appreciate your talent, but probably not as much as musicians do. Thank you for your dedication to your art.

Floyd is one of those bands that, if you're not Floyd, you shouldn't be covering Floyd. But not you my friend. That was an amazing rendition. Time is my all-time favorite song. It's a perfect tune from start to finish, and i dislike every alternate version I've ever heard.... this is the exception. Well done man, we'll done indeed.

There's something very powerful and moving about hearing those gorgeous chord changes on acoustic, especially as played by this young maestro. Incredibly well done.

Playing a Pink Floyd song on an Acoustic guitar, especially one that has one of the greatest solos ever written in the history of rock and roll, and then to bend those strings on the 19th fret to pitch on an “Acoustic”... You sir are a legend. Thanks for doing such a good job on one of the most iconic songs from the greatest Rock band of all “Time”

Beautiful! There are a lot of skilled fingerstyle guitarists on RUclips, but I think your arrangements are the best of them all.
Kent’s arrangements are very faithful to the originals as well, he really gets into the heart of the song.
@Asao Kinoshita I couldn't agree with you more! I have a family full of musicians and one member is a classically trained pianist. My only issue with their playing is they refuse to let go and just play! You know? They could be so much better and greater than they are but they're afraid to let loose. Ken does not have this problem. I'm a latina female sax player, I have no issues letting loose. Now if the police would just let me be, I'll be off the table and out of Olive Garden in a jiffy!
