  • In this episode, I re-watched The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Matrix Revolutions to take a deep dive into explaining what went both right and wrong with the sequels. How the Wachowski's lost their way, and my feelings on the series as a whole.

Enjoyed all 3 as well! There are dozens of us! Dozens! Agree that things faltered after the first. Loved the over arcing concept, and the possibilities the lore presents. There’s so many places you could go with the idea. Good job on the video.

just found your channel- i'm, going to sub since your content is thought provoking .
As a matrix fan and someone heavily influenced by the series (it is my star wars/ lord of the rings lol) , I must say the scope of the series really opens up in the Animatrix animated project, where there were so many approaches and narratives to this world that they didnt have to dwell on Neo and Company.
I think this is where Matrix Resurrections failed, or at least one of the points of failure, they tried to hard to retcon or refer to the original series without building on the foundation in Animatrix.

I'm right there with you, I love the whole world animation, games, and movies. I know they have issues and lose most of the audience, but it doesn't change enjoyment.

I have a similar opinion here, the original was better then the sequals. We lost much of the mystery which made the first movie so inspiring. But then we always have the Ghost in the Shell to go back to.
