- Hey what's going on everyone! I'm back with another tutorial on the basics of how to edit/join DBXV2 models in blender. Hope you guys learn something from this tutorial and please leave a like down below if you enjoyed the video.

Here's how you rotate the imported model in Blender:
1. *Make sure the entire model is selected.*
2. Bring up the transform window by pressing N on your keyboard.
3. In "Location" you will set "Z" to 1 (this changes it to 1m)
4. Under "Rotation", set "X" to 90
Your model should now be standing upright, and at the appropriate height above the grid. Experiment to see how the numpad numbers quick-change the view, if you like.
*If the armature (bones) don't rotate with it,* then you can click on any bone (it should select the entire thing) and then look under "Scene Collection". You should see the armature highlighted. The rig name varies between male and female, so if importing a female human or sayian, the rig name might be named something like "EXP_HUF_000". Anyway, do the same thing for it. Exact same steps as above. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for the location tip. I was strugling with a bust despite following all the steps it just didn't clip with the body. Now it's perfect in game !

My hair is invisible in xenoviewer, but it says I dragged it in with no error messages

@@OffixialKoshiki I already fixed a while ago, just switch it back to -Z positive Y unless ur taking it back into blender.

so, how do you know what model you're selecting? all i see is a bunch of numbers. are there directory folders for each outfit piece?
UPDATE: Hey guys I know everyone has questions on this video that I haven’t answered. And the honest truth is that I probably won’t answer I don’t mod much anymore. So please take what you can from this and if something is right for you in blender maybe go and download an older version off the internet so you can do exactly what I’m doing. I won’t be answering questions about the new blender because I no longer really use blender myself

Very well done, this tutorial is really good. Unfortunately I had to learn this by trial & error awhile back, didn't know about this tutorial 😅. I did learn about removing the model via material tab in this video, I used to removed them by separating by material (edit mode, type P). Something I noticed, how did you have the emb files being normal after export? When I export the emb is always upside down, I fix it by just re-importing the new model into Blender again, then export again & then it's all normal. Also, for users that need more specification on the tools he's using: the emdfbx & fbxemd are Dario's not Olganix, Dario's is great for this type of editing, Olganix is more for animation. XenoXMLConverter is used for the EMM files, for the EMD files when changing the texture index, you could use a tool called EMDMaterialIDChanger or use lazybones XenoXMLSerializer, (only 2.1 supports EMD files)
Is there any part of that which can make the textures not jump around? I've been having that bug for the longest.
My Materials tab in my properties is not there and I can't find it anywhere
hi i need help no matter what i do i cant seem to get the model to connect with the bones even when it seems like i have when i join them both when i import them into the game the torso is still t posing

I can't see the option to change between ASCII and binary in the fbx export version. What can I do? My version is more actual but I don't find the option

I have a question, I'm just understanding how the process is to edit and import the models into the game, but when I want to convert a .fbx file to .emd the program doesn't do it, instead it converts it to an .esk file Do you know what this is for?
Esk is the skeleton of the model you can see that by looking at any of the character model folders they all have esk.
If I want just to fix the hair of a model , I have just to import, editing and export the fbx file?
Dunno if you still check this regularly but I'm running into an issue where the UVs are flipped after fbx>emd converting. Not sure which values to edit in the xml version of the model to fix the UVs. Any help is appreciated.
How can I import characters from other games? I wanna make a character mod but its extension is different from the xv2 ones
im trying to install an ssj4 female body into the game but your version of blender is too out of date and the part where you save the file looks very different in the newer version.
i tried to delete a part of a model but when i click delete, it deletes the entire model instead of the selected area. I mean, the model is listed in parts correctly but works as a whole model so I can't edit it.

when import the fbx file it doesn't show in upper right corner like it does in the video what shows up on my is HUM_667_Bust and under it HUM_BAS_BONE why is that im using blender v2.79 i don't know what i'm doing wrong

I'm having the following problems :
#1 : I don't see that Version Option when I'm exporting the model.fbx and I can't change the version from 7 to 6 , I guess it's because I have the latest version of blender. It may the the cause of the #2 problem.
#2 : When I put the the model.fbx from blender to fbxemd.exe , it gives me 3 random .emd files and 1 .esk file referring to some parts of the model. When I'm in blender I join all parts of model because all parts of the model are seperated and if I don't join them and just head to edit mode it only gives 1 part of the model in that ball thing , and when I join them after edit mode it gives all the parts.
I'm trying to make a different model than shown in the video I combine pilot suit and uniform bust that are in game and have seven HuM parts 4 regular and 3 LOD files. I've already tried 2 different combos of busts and it's the same result.

how do you do the hair?
So, I'm using Ver. 2.81.16, and I can't find the "FBX 6.1 ASCII" options anywhere. Is this step no longer necessary?

i'm trying to create a custom hair model (pretty similar to this) and i've exported my fbx and converted it into an emd. however whenever I actually use the emd in-game, my character turns bald and there are black shapes everywhere i turn, but in xenoviewer it turns out just fine. I'm pretty sure i stuffed up somewhere, any help?

@@CEV256 it's not really an issue with hair, i've tried it out with busts a few months back as well, same problem happened.
Could someone explain how to resize part of a model.
I'm trying to resize a certain pair of shoes, so they fit the legs properly since I resized them which created an offset with the feet.
I tried scaling, but it only fixes the offset in Blender, in the game the offset is still present.
I had trouble scaling the legs too as it kept making the skirt the CAC wears too big even though I didn't select it for scaling, but I eventually got it to work by working with the model by doing the steps in different orders
Surely there's a method/procedure to this that I just don't know, coz I had these problems with the legs and stumbled my way to the fix.

Thanks for the tutorial man but I gotta question, how do you add new clothes that aren’t exist in the game? Like how can I add a pant that I want which isn’t exist in the game?
You would have to learn how to bring in models from other games and learn how to make them compatible with xenoverse and it’s system. I don’t know how to do that

Can Somebody please help me i don't know what i'm doing wrong i extract the the emd and esk then imported it into blender i edit the model and export it to fbx and when i put through fbxemd the file splits into 3 emds and a esk file so i know I'm doing something wrong so any help would be greatly appreciated

So, do all the models have their bones unaligned like that? Looks pretty messy and nonsensical. Is there a way to properly align the bones to the body?
What are you talking about the bones are aligned, you are seeing the bones because I only use the bust as the example in this video

Guys the fbxemd in this showcase is borked , use the one by mastalko instead or it wont be rigged.
Not sure i know where to find that, could you link it? im also having an issue where the model im "joining" with a face model is not showing up in game, the face model itself works and shows up fine but the actual Object i've joined with it is nowhere to be seen. ive tried joining with two diff versions of blender so it Might have something to do with the fbxemd process. you wouldnt know anything about that would you?

Wrong tutorial for that question. You should probably ask on a video that is about hair modeling, not model editing for the other models

No idea, you have to resize and adjust the model to fit the female skeleton and I don’t know how to do that
