  • What do Rihanna and Megadeth have in common, besides having extravagant hairstyles and to have sold millions of copies around the world?
    Simply, at least one of their songs starts with a drum intro!
    This time I made a medley that includes 50 of the most popular drum intros of the last 50 years and, having fun with numbers, I enclosed in a 5 minutes and 50 seconds video :)
    I tried to play all the intros as faithful as possible to the original versions, respecting the BPMs and, in some cases, recreating the audio effects of the studio recordings. Some intros have been shortened and, where necessary, I added some percussions, voices (?!?) and...also something else!
    Enjoy it my dear! ^_^

  • @JazzyJonas
    @JazzyJonas 8 лет назад +139

    This is proper. Not only are the parts perfectly accurate, but you can watch the easiest way to play them. This is a must watch for any drummer in a cover band. Nice Painkiller,by the way. I've always wondered how to do that part efficiently lol :-)

      Painkiller!!!!

    • @RyanConnell5150
      @RyanConnell5150 5 лет назад

      Not perfectly accurate. Drumming shouldn't be about finding the easiest way of doing things, rather, the RIGHT way. For example: Hot For Teacher was ass backwards. Double bass FIRST, THEN toms, THEN bell of the cymbal, THEN overdrive.

    • @philfleetwood2618

    • @jalmarivartola2286
      @jalmarivartola2286 5 лет назад

      @@RyanConnell5150 The "right way" to do HFT would be to record two bass drum tracks and overlap them in that case, since thats what max van halen did originally. Hertas like that at that bpm are borderline impossible to do on bass drum without tons of practice with the heel-toe technique.

So again, thaks alot!

    Awesome work. I love the start of "Hot for teacher". Slayer-Live undead deserves an honourable mention too I think.

    I wasn't expecting painkiller, rust in peace or territory. Those intros are insane. At least to us guitarists.
