just a reminder that this isn't a weight loss plan - this is a healthy eating habits video. and I really needed to focus on how I feel and what everything makes me feel when I eat it. I miss a lot of the mindfulness.
I'm coming from a past of restriction, and recently changed my relationship with food by allowing myself to eat as much as I wanted of whatever food I wanted to for a while. You're right, transitioning to moderating certain foods can be really challenging because it feels a bit like restricting (something that takes such a long time to unlearn). I think moderating foods takes practice like anything else. Perhaps part of the problem is when you've simply never eaten regular portions of certain foods. Like if we've gone from restricting our personal "bad" foods, then allowed ourselves to eat as much of them as we wanted during the healing process, we don't have much experience with what a moderate portion feels like. Eating three cookies instead of the entire box - ie learning to fully enjoy and feel satisfied with modest portions of certain foods - is just something that takes time, I guess. I wish healthy eating and moderation had just been instilled in me from the very beginning, but better late than never.
Let's see, I had 2 slice of toast with butter and a cup of coffee for breakfast this morning. For lunch and dinner I had a bowl of rice, potato and ground beef casserole. For snack a row of dark chocolate with a cup of coffee. Then later a cup of green tea with pistachios and a late snack of garlic bread with cranberry juice. How much calories is that or carbs or protein etc. I don't know. I don't stress about it. I enjoy what I eat in moderation. I go for walks on nice days and I climb stairs most of the day because my home requires that. LOL! I'm 56 and 120 lbs. Never been fat. I think people stress about food too much these days. I'm glad to have found your channel! I agree with you 100%.
Please, make a video about how to deal with food after long restricting period. I don’t even know what I really like and what I like simply because it’s low cal.
Confused... You say "I crave a donut because I had a pretty healthy meal" plus "I can have a nice fresh salad and tonight have pizza" Isnt this a bit off...it implies to me you can have something seen as a "treat" as long as you ate a healthy meal or salad.
@@karenvanessan.2000 yes, I agree.. I responded to an earlier comment that I think it’s **éduquerais** 🤔🤷♀️ …stemming from the French verb éduquer meaning, to educate, inform, instruct, enlighten … I studied French a while ago, am very rusty & needed to Google to check, I think it’s Conditional present, eg j’éduquerais = I would educate, tu éduquerais = you would educate etc …please correct me if I’m wrong🙏✨
GREAT VIDEO! I have a question luvv,, Would it be okay to do thee "80/20 Rule" how YOU explained ( which you explained very well).... DAILY? Could we do that DAILY And still see results? Cuss 80/20 weekly woooo will definitely be more challenging

Adding that idea to the list, it's definitely something I help a lot of my clients through, wishing you luck!
How do you know when you're eating too many treat foods in a week?
Looking forward to your course. Please share the details when you are ready to release it.
Thank you! And yes, I will be sharing more details soon!
moderation equals,responsibly.
Ma cherie, merci beaucoup! Très utile.❤
Merci à toi ! 💜
With the obesity, diabetes, cancer crisis in America maybe a 95% 5% suggestion would be better❣️🥰💕🍓🍒🍓
Do you have an example of the 80/20 rule in a non-calorie unit? 😊

Love your videos!! Also, just wondering.. what does Edukale mean?
I am wondering too
sounds like a combination of educate and kale lol
@@jayden4021 Yes, that's what it stands for. :) I think it's cute!

What books can help me please?
Excellent as always! Are there any French expressions about eating in moderation?
Thank you! Not really, we just say "on peut manger de tout avec moderation", so "we can eat everything in moderation"!
Really liked the video!
Thank you, I'm glad!

Depends on the kind of results you're wanting to see, but I think doing that daily is fine. It's worth trying at least, and seeing how you feel.
get over an ED, one day at a time
I have a silly question! What does Edukale mean? Thank you!
Educate -- kale is food and she talks about food so .. it's a word play! (This is just my guess)
