Biggest alien universe mystery is and imo will always be the Space Jockey scene. Was disappointed by Prometheus’ explanation but I honestly still believe the space jockey is a separate race from the engineers

Agreed. I think we all die-hard alien fans were hugely disappointed with the treatment given to the Space Jockey. It had so much potential, it was truly “alien”.

For me the space jockey is dufferent from the engineers. It can even bee seen by comparing the derelict spaceship/jockey, and the juggernaut/engineer-suit, the former is way more organic, everything seems grown, I like to believe the engineers were created long ago by the space jockey species, the engineers honor them by replicating part of their technology and looks. Like worshiping gods.

It is a another one, the planet that we see in Prometheus is a different one from the one they land in Alien

Ya the engineers and the magic goo take away from the mystery of the Alien franchise. Prometheus would be an ok sci film seperate from the Alien franchise.
