In my experience, most alums keep to themselves when they visit to watch a game and may interact with old teachers and staff if they ain't dead. Other than that they go in, watch the game, may look at the old trophies and what not during half-time, get a hotdog to munch on, and get out. Believe it or not not many alums from my high school who may visit for a game have careers and families. Many heavily donate on an annual basis. Plus, not all hometowns are the same. A small town vs major metro area + city. Add in ethnic enclaves that's been there for generations creating a specific culture.
