I liked how Mike made a comment about the ''lift with your legs, not with your back'' and then immediately in the next clip compliments the straight leg dead lift

Dr Mike really inspires me, he's proven that there r actually good people out there who are willing to help despite the challenges associated with the medical profession... Thanks doc keep up the great work ❤
3:35 That is actually a good tip. There’s a common misconception that “lifting with your legs” means lifting with your knees; whenever you’re gonna lift a heavy object off the floor, you want to bend at your knees, but mostly at your hips (keeping a straight spine, or at least a straight lumbar spine) and then use your hip extensors to lift the object (glutes, hamstrings). This is precisely what you would do when deadlifting; good deadlifters don’t squat down to lift the weight, as it’s a much less efficient position, they set their hips back (with some knee flexion) till they can reach the bar, then they power through the ground using their glutes, hammies, and, to some extent, their quads. (Srry for the overly complicated explanation)
But she is bending the knees and throwing the glutes back. Except for holding the box a bit closer to her legs it was a good enough deadlift, I don't think you'd get injured doing that.
@3:56 You probably wouldn't want to do straight leg dead lifts with water because the sloshing could add dynamic strain on your back. It might be good for other exercises where the lack of stability might act like free weights vs a machine requiring your to use stabilizing muscles.

I mean, here’s the thing. The placebo effect is a real effect. If it’s working for you and not harming you, it doesn’t matter for you as an individual if it’s a placebo or not. It only matters for science so we know *how* it works for the people it works on.

Dr. Mike, I being an older adult have been doing water exercises two to three times weekly. "Water Aerobics" "Aqua Jog." Also from April to October I participate in several walk for causes events about seven causes that mean something to me one way or another.
So... as someone who makes desserts... the mango jelly thingies do actually have enough ingredients... they are just not being used correctly. Gelatin will not dissolve if used as shown on the video. I would say you first should hydrate the gelatin with a bit of water, let it set for a minute, and then heat it up before mixing it with your mango-sugar mixture. I would also suggest adding a bit of water, since the texture of it might be weird otherwise. Enjoy. You can do this with many fruits... not pineapples, though

Caffeine in eye patches/ creams can help remedy the cosmetic issue that arises from missed sleep. I never questioned sleep's importance.
Fun, and educational, love it❤
“Please don’t tell me you think you’ve created something valuable here” I will be using this at the next work meeting thanks doc!
12:03 Close, I looked up a few mango jelly candy recipes and while mango puree and gelatin were two important ingredients, you also need water and sugar. You can also use honey as a sweetener, but from what it seems the sugar content in raw mango isn't really enough to make a candy.
Very helpful
Don't you have to dissolve the gelatin, a least?
@@amypaperlady1210 yes, it's what the water is for. Most of the recipes recommended dissolving the gelatin in water, not to dump it directly into the mango puree
Him calling the little pig a little pink cow is wild 😂😂😂
That was bugging me so much. Not gonna ask him vet questions, that's for sure 😂
Look, he's a doctor, and medicine has nothing to do with biology---wait. 😂
Wtf is that sentence even supposed to mean?
When’s that?
@@-Devy- Context clues, friend. It means "His calling the little pig a little pink cow is wild."
That "Avocado? Eww" was too relatable
I mean, yeah, but even more "eww" was that it didn't look like avocado, it looked like avocado humus.
@@jeanaprewitt9658worse they didn’t 🧂 the 🥑
@jeanaprewitt9658 You mean guacamole? Or is avocado hummus a thing? Or are you saying guacamole looks better than that, & hummus is the best comparison you have for what it looks like they did to that avocado? I think we can all agree, that no form of avocado belongs on a peach, though… that was criminal.
@@Peach_Basket_Catch_It_Up as soon as you violate hummus AND the alligator-pear, you have completely lost the plot!
On their own, both are yummy. Combined, can only be disgusting.
And then putting it in a peach? DISRESPECT to the entirety of plant-kind!

i could listen to him talk all day. he looks so good in this video too omg-
My favorite part of this video is learning you have a second floofy dog!!
Good for you Dr. mike you deserve a second floof!!
The introduction itself shows how fed up is Mike about the misinformation provided by 5 minute crafts….and the fear to review it again😂
I was surprised at Dr.Mike being underwhelmed by kinesiotape. I have had lots of positive experiences with it: It can reduce pain in seconds, because it takes some load off of muscles and quickens recovery thanks to increased bloodflow. I tested it on some bruises once and the taped areas healed much faster than untaped areas.
Me too. It really helped me when I had bruised ribs.
The blood flow part seems like a load of bull, and after having looked it up it seems that the research agrees.
@@-Devy- Maybe the blood flow theory is wrong, but still, kinesiotape has helped me many times.
I mean, here’s the thing. The placebo effect is a real effect. If it’s working for you and not harming you, it doesn’t matter for you as an individual if it’s a placebo or not. It only matters for science so we know *how* it works for the people it works on.
😂 I was gone at ''Is... that a form of exercise???''
1:53 “whenever I go hiking I bring my rock mat” that is the most sarcasm I’ve heard in my life and I love it😭🙏
This was hilarious! Thank you for sharing it! God Bless You & stay safe.
5:08 the better hack here is how her chair dynamically adjusted to roll over the treadmill effortlessly as it was clearly there the whole time...
5:00 It's a pig!🐷
0:18 QUICK the quicker picker upper for the quicker picker upper
🤣🤣🤣
Lol did it 2nd try
dyson
Oh mah goodness yes
I just love how relatable you are Dr Mike😂😂 Those things are so randomly crazy 😂😂😂😂
10:52 Okay, I’ll do it on my fish 👍
There is something so therapeutic about the fact Dr. Mike reacts to Five Minute Crafts with the same annoyance and anger as I do.
Absolutely! And I'm glad he points out that some of these can be dangerous.
We should appreciate Dr. Mike for the quick uploads!
Give me a recipe for chocolate cake.
Mike ,that's was Bulgarian ,not Russian , it says "recycle me" on the coca cola bottle on 04:15 mark, but yeah ,it is definitely Bulgarian ,easily to mistaken with Russian since we use almost the same alphabet
I knew it was not Russian, but I couldn’t understand exact language. I thought maybe Serbian, but you cleared it for me. Thanks)
It's more funny because Mike was born in Russia until his family moved to America
he’s so funny i love him he’s the only educational guy ill watch because he is actually funny
Dr. Mike, I being an older adult have been doing water exercises two to three times weekly. "Water Aerobics" "Aqua Jog." Also from April to October I participate in several walk for causes events about seven causes that mean something to me one way or another.
Lol. I totally loled through all of this.
But the pink “cow” 🐷 totally was the icing. And Dr.Mike talking about pink balls was a close second 😂
8:15 Pink ball sock? Pink ballsack?
9:36 its dangerous to have a laptop not charging in front of you?? what
No he meant the way she was
I think he meant it in a “It's risky because it can run out of battery" type of way (if that makes sense)
All of this is literally just the placebo effect (making you think something has happened just by hearing someone tell you)
So... as someone who makes desserts... the mango jelly thingies do actually have enough ingredients... they are just not being used correctly.
I love watching people lose their minds when they react to 5-min crafts 😂😂
It’s the best
That "you can just walk" at 3:01 was perfection
Bear: " yup he is gone " 5:36
Why do I love how Dr.Mike looses it so sincerely when facing the dumb ideas😂
The way Mike rages is exactly the way I wanna rage and I'm jealous of him
wHY CAN'T I RAGE WITHOUT CURSING IN 20 DIFFERENT LANGUAGE RAHHGH
