Cass Scenic Railroad: Trip to Bald Knob August 11, 2022

In August of 2022 my dad and I took a trip to visit three railroads. The railroads were: Cass Scenic Railroad, Strasburg Railroad, and the Reading and Northern. This video was our first stop of our journey, which the Cass Scenic Railroad in Cass, West Virginia. The excursion we were on took us up to Bald Knob, the highest spot on the line. The excursion was being pulled by Cass Scenic Railroad #11, a Class C Shay that has around 40,000 lbs of tractive effort.
Unfortunately, some of the footage of the return trip was lost because the SD card failed during the excursion, hence the awkward cut to the locomotive at the end of the video. It took 6 months to recover most of the lost footage, which was the main reason this video took so long to upload. I hope you all understand.
