I recommend finding any insane glitches found in Lego Lord of the rings when you 100% most of the time the cheats like invincible or just some of the equipment like mythrl spring boots can lead to making jumping out of bounds seem way too easy
Hopefully you're not spreading lies and misinformation to push a personal agenda this time around, huh?
Link is dead, new link?
Link ain't working
Clickbait title, an advertisement at the beginning, and just over the 10min mark.... yep im thumbing this video down without even watching it lol
The most insane glitch discovered in speed running is starting in 2nd gear

DezZival I love these Tod Rogers memes.
Boi Sandwich woosh
It all comes down to the Human Element, right?
Nah, the best speedrunning glitch was the glitch in the website that made Tom Rogers' scores be allowed on Twin Galaxies
wow, that's a new one. Wrong warp from Zelda's Garden to the ending of Gex 3.
It was Deja Ouch, all over again.
I finally did this warp but I didn't get the credits.
Instead I ended up in the back of a cart, going through a snowy forest, hands bound, and some guy in front of me saying "Hey you. You're finally awake."
Well to be fair you should be happy it's not over yet and keeps going.

The transition into Gex 3 is the gaming equivalent to "anyway, here's Wonderwall"
At about 4:10 I started to feel like this was one of those old hoax guides to unlocking some random impossible thing in a game back in early 2000s.
All you gotta do is face this NPC at a perfect 45° angle from his left eye at a distance of 30 units. Then throw 50 bombs (watch my video on how to hold more bombs than the inventory allows titled "UNLIMITED BOMBS! TOTALLY NOT FAKE!") then run to the center of the map and jump 30 times. If you do this correctly, you will have successfully wasted all of that time just so I can laugh at you while sounding cool for finding something that isn't real.
TOAD IS TOTALLY IN SSBM YOU JUST GOTTA HIT ALL NAMES IN THE CREDITS YOU CAN NOT MISS A SINGLE ONE
@@bfrog2010 Don't forget the NPC you need to talk to 100 times!

I love how I couldn't understand a single thing because I don't play the game and it just sounds like he's making stuff up.
"After recapturing the fish, I made my way back to the shadow realm to activate my trap card therefore summoning Exodia thus winning this chess game"
Lol!
I've completed it, but this is more hacking than playing the game.
@@micmac274 Hacking is using external programs to change the code and as a result, the physics and rules of a game. This is just glitching, "cheating" at best.
I played this game, not speedrunning it nor successfully performing glitches, but I even I understood what he meant. He more to do with technical stuff than knowledge about playing the game itself.
@@micmac274 no it's not. Google "hacking".
He's using exploits and glitches.
Me at the beginning: Wait, if you discovered a credits warp glitch, why isn't it being used in speedruns?
Me about halfway through: Oh.
yeah it takes way too long when you can warp to the collapse sequence 15 minutes in
@@gaymerjerry still cool though
It or a similar method was the main method for Any% before they found the skip to the collapsing tower from the Deku Tree. Old speedruns use this or a similar method to set up a credits rom warp, but Deku Tree -> Collapsing Tower saves so much time you can complete it in less than the time it takes to set this one up.
@@micmac274 What similiar method? I'm going to need a link because even as far back as 2012, I can only find runs using the current wrong warp, or a route similiar to gsr

6:35 Yeah, it's crazy how broken this game is. They really should've caught this glitch in QA.
Ikr how could they not have discovered it? I mean it's so OBVIOUS that this glitch would work.
I came here specifically for a Gex TAS. What the hell was the other 7 minutes and 20 seconds of this 10 minute video?
Filler. It was filler to make it just over 10 minutes.
Just back off dude. The situation appears to be dead and it should stay that way. No need to keep coming after his videos and watching them if you simply do not like them.
@@ok-lq8hz I was a subscriber long before any drama over his last video. It is entirely possible for Apollo to make a good video on speedrunning. It was just funny how many comments defending Apollo used the angle of attacking my claim that his video existed for the money, I point to this video as exhibit B.

there are so many good emulators for this, why use a broken one?
What good emulater would u reccomend? Also, do u know where i can find the random version of oot rom? Thanks
Either mupen64plus with glideN64 or almost any emulator with glideN64 or angrylion.
@@fuckoffhackers8619 mupen64 on retroarch is about at accurate as it can get. I'm not sure if it has cycle accuracy, but it's pretty spot on for the most part. An emulator called CEN64 has been in the works for a couple years, and it's aiming for 100% accuracy, but its progress is very slow.
Here's the thing though; N64 emulation is still pretty innacurate no matter what emulator is used.
The quirks of the system's hardware, as well as how the MIPS processor and graphics processor work together, are still yet to be fully understood. So there's still a lot of inaccuracies.
The WiiU's emulation is, crazy as it sounds, the most accurate N64 emulation so far.
Im pretty sure hes using an emulator (and or) rom combo that is modded so it ocarina of time behaves like the wii virtual console version, and not the n64 version. This setup is commonly used to any% stuff as some glitches simply doesnt work on n64, while it does work on Wii Virtual console.

How to stretch a video over 10 minutes: *Gex 3*
Why yes, this is perfect.
This is the "Watch for Rolling Rocks in 0.5 A presses" of Zelda speedruns
pannenkoek is way more interesting
Nah, Pannenkoek goes much more in depth, explaining each glitch in detail. This video expects you to know all the different glitches coming in.
I really hate it when people call a game "broken" because you can intentionally break it with insanely complex glitches. A game is broken if you can't play it normally without it glitching. You can go out of your way to intentionally glitch pretty much any game ever made, but that doesn't mean the game is broken.
Uhh, you say that, but there are definitely games that you cannot break. Games that were massively popular, that had people looking for glitches intentionally, and couldn't find any. It's just that the n64 era is the start of 3d geometry but the blockiest polygons and the least experienced designers were with games at the time. Combine that with limited hardware, and it's usually a match made in heaven.
@@Aimlesswaves. if you think this is blocky you ain't seen nothing yet. Check the ps1. But most games from that era are extremely broken because as you said 3d was brand new and they couldn't even imagine some of the shit people figured out on how to glitch the game.
Hell BOTW has plenty of clipable walls and weird collision glitches. How they missed something as simple as holding the whistle button and tapping run for infinite running is beyond me.
This game has a ton of random skips or bugs, and like 17 ways to setup each and every one of those
This. OoT is breakable, but you have to deliberately break it. Sonic '06 is broken; you have to make an effort to *avoid* glitches. Big difference.
The most insane thing about this video is the no reason TAS to stretch this video to ten minutes.
0:00 - 6:47 The content

I absolutely want more technical explanation videos. To that end: if you want to just tell us speedrun watchers (filthy casuals) about well-known (in the speedrunning community) speedrun tech in your own words, I'd LOVE to watch that. That's also a fat mountain of content.

You can warp to the end credits from the start if you visit the hermit wearing your striped socks, after you sell your spoons, before you find the singing bush, after you eat the magic beans in the dungeon of the castle in the sky, after you kill the invisible knight, but before you say the magic words to the bearded lady. NOTE: this will only work if the controller is unplugged and your eyes are closed.

Yes more like this please. This was brilliant. Loved how the wrong timer wrong warped the wrong warp. Love seeing this game torn apart.
Really good video. Thanks
I love how you put a little speedrun at the end lol
I think that item sliding in WWHD is one of the best glitches discovered, since you can abuse it so much to completely and utterly sequence break the game
So you unlock the wind temple this way right?
I want to say "wow this is really complex" but at the same time I bet you their's a more complex ocarina speedrun route, and I would look like a fool...
There's a way to beat the game called "reverse boss order", you should look it up it's pretty complex

Here's a glitch I discovered for Ocarina of Time, okay so you have to be playing WWF No Mercy on Survival mode to start, then you gotta get to the point where Andre the Giant comes to the ring, eliminate him and then swap out the cartridge with Ocarina of Time and you'll be at the end credits, works for me.

The only think I understood from your video was 'Hey guys...', but I can't stop watching! You're making me want to learn speed-running!
I'd say that the way he ran through the game wasn't really a speedrun, since there are more efficient ways to use the glitches. I guess you could technically call it speedrunning, but you wouldn't really go far with it.
Honestly, I would be happy with ANY videos you make, Apollo.
I was laughing my ass off at the sheer amount you had to do to get to the actual glitch. I totally thought it was a joke until the end, bravo
Discoveries are still being made in smw on snes still as well.
This stuff is so nerdy but I cannot get enough of it. Im watching... learning... I would like to start a Blue Shift run to start.
This audio is so funny out of context. “As a child I grabbed the master sword with a fish”
This sounds like one of those 90's rumor guide, like the ones you would follow to unlock master hand on Smash, or Luigi on SM64
Nice work dufe
What I understood from that whole ten minutes. Warp ( from that word on, everything sounded like Charlie Browns teacher). ;)
"I'm going to use frame-perfect button presses to do things like equip a bottle over my sword, warp to areas I'm not supposed to be in yet, and go to insane lengths to figure out how I can break sequence to get the last timer of the game and then warp back to the beginning."
"Wow can you believe how broken this game is?"
More or less 21 years later and insane glitches are still being discovered. *God, did Nintendo even play test this game?*
I still can't imagine how any regular player figured all this shit out.
Agreed, perhaps if they searched through the code to find the bugs, but who in their right mind would do that?
These glitches are easily missable while developing a game. It's not surprising that after 21 years of people dedicating their lives to breaking the game, they find glitches like this. To make a game with no major glitches, you'd have to:
A. Have a dead simple game, or
B. Spend YEARS play testing and bug fixing, making the game development process take way longer and cost a lot more.
Everything can't be perfect. Part of game development is finding where to draw that line. When playing the game normally, or even playing the game over and over like I did in my childhood, the game is perfectly stable. Look at a game like AC: Unity, Sonic 06 or Fallout 76 if you want to see a game that actually wasn't play tested. Also, "search through the code to find the bugs", it's really not that simple.
@@Kirbio
I know it's not that simple in the end, but it was the only logical thing I could think of as to how people find some of this stuff. Game Development is indeed very difficult, and crazy bugs like this get through all the time, it's nothing new at this point. Heck, some developers keep glitches in for shits and giggles. Heck, some games that aren't play tested still don't end up with obvious bugs, Rayman one, for example. Things like that are just dumb luck though, and most of the time, what isn't play tested will end up like crap.
@@Kirbio Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr the real answer is that fixing some glitches will break the game elsewhere or it's diminishing returns trying to fix literally every scene transition in a 40+ hour game. You could live a full life and die without ever finding some of these glitches as a casual player.
.....The fact someone could even come up with the idea to try to do that, with all of the components involved...is amazing to me.
This is REALLY fun to listen to, omg!
awesome video, I missed you so much.
This reminds me of stryder7x, it's always amazing to see how much we still don't know about old games.
Welcome back dude!
There are still glitches being found in a game from 20 years ago, amazing.
