Hi, and not trying to be funny but you do not need a apple device. Android phone or even a computer with the right software and even a video camera this can be done. And of course the right video editing software that can do split screen all this is possible. It all depends on what level you are doing your video for, personal vs. professional. Of course depending on your budget and other things and how far you want to take your videos is up to you. I am a PC tech ( over 20 + yrs ) experience and A+ Certification. And I am in know way telling you how to do your video, just options. By the way great video on your process on doing this for others! Thanks for sharing.
Yes! For some reason I'm just seeing this comment -- so sorry!! I'm not used to being a tech page ha ha, typically have been just music :) Something I've found that's helpful is this adapter: www.amazon.com/Apple-Lightning-USB3-Camera-Adapter/dp/B01F7KJDIM/ref=asc_df_B01F7KJDIM/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312106635483&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14525266703907049208&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9014228&hvtargid=pla-403917398107&psc=1 So now I use a Yeti Blue USB microphone -- long cable, and headphones run through the Yeti. WHen i'm just doing something quick and for fun i use the apple earbuds, but when i'm trying to care a little more, i go for the USB mic.
It's not a good recording program, as it's intended for one-take live performances ... but i've made a lot of split screen instrument recordings for fun.
@@brigidkaelin Yeah! I've become to notice that eventhough I made some progress, but your'e right it certainly isn't designed for that. However! i will use strictly as a video portion of my studio recording, which will come in very handy utilizing the split screens! Thanks for the response!

I’m aware it’s accapella, but can I record music with it (ie: soundtrack) ?
