    There's also an attachment with the STG that boosts headshot damage (one of the barrels - it does nerf hits to the body though). I've been running that with vital and incendiary rounds, and it's frankly disgusting.

      @Guy Who Killed U I'd be down for an Insurgency Sandstorm style system with a set point limit (ala pick 10), but not everything is weighted equally. A more powerful perk or weapon would cost more to equip for example.

    It baffles me to think that this was considered ok, same with the frangible rounds etc.
    I'm not a game designer, I'm just a player. I'm sure they see these things very differently to me.
    All I understand is that CoD devs tend to want to avoid crutch classes, yet they design things like these...

      @@ZunDr0nL1kX CoD always had elements of "crutch" even in their "golden era" titles. I think they will purposely include these crutch elements in games now to better include struggling players. With that being said, I think this is jsut an oversight tbh.

      I disagree, COD was always about having crutch classes for new players and for good players to abuse to make COD players look like badasses. I mean you have radar this year and why would you use anything else in that class tier

      If you consider BO2 in the Golden Era, than you are incorrect because when Toughness perk was in BO2, everyone ran it because the flinch was very noticeable and toughness almost eliminated flinch

    This sounds more like the High Caliber attachments from BO4 where it would essentially do the same thing to upper torso and more if high caliber II was an option.

      At least you had to use the wildcard and then 2 attachment slots, so that High Caliber II costed 3 out of the pick 10 slots

      @@alangonzalez9017 HIGH Cal was only for certain weapons. And most guns have a Dedicated class. Rampart. With HC2 is a three shot from any range. The Auger DMR. Also a 2 to 3 shot kill from any range. Why wouldn't you use them (since they have low recoil)

      @@michaelaguilera6946 Well it is an assault rifle and marksman rifle. But you had a better chance of defending yourself with the Rampart. If your good at hipfire. But smgs were dominant in most most. (Except I ran the ballistic knife. It was the most fun I had doing so. )

      Actually only 1 shot to the upper torso is needed as it does 78 critical damage and 22 regular damage

      People don't care. There's players who will run the same gun for an entire year if the devs don't make an effort to balance it. Sledgehammer doesn't have a good track record of weapon balancing, but they're debatable the most responsive to community feedback. Anything could happen honestly.

    ACE PLEASE READ THIS! This game uses a strange algorithmic stacking method for damage which in un-determinable as the percentages change depending on what's equipped. For example the STG44 has a base damage of 29. With the 3rd barrel (-24.1% damage) and the 2nd Magazine (+41.4% damage) equipped the game shows 28 Damage. No matter how you multiply or stack these percentages you can't arrive at 28 damage, it should be 34. Any insights on this?

    They already nerfed it by making so vital doesn’t stack with not only higher caliber rounds, but it doesn’t stack with anything that increases damage, but it does cancel out anything that lowers damage (within the vital area)

    I think a potential fix to this would be to make it where vital only applies at close range and maybe adds recoil too. Or make it lower your mag capacity

    The paranoia perk is quite annoying as well. Anytime your screen turns yellow from being seen, you'll get the announcer saying that you're being watched, as if the gold tint on the screen wasn't distracting enough.

    Now it makes sense why some people had guns that would MELT me in the lobby. I was certain some people were getting 3 shot kills on me at full health in the kill cam and this confirms it.

    For now I don’t mind Vital on the ITRA but have to see how’s it gonna be and for the other guns it’s just too powerful to miss out on. I would like them to change the boost only to the Neck region instead of the Upper Torso.

    But then some guns can have Gung Ho (to eliminate sprint to fire time) which reduces the time to kill by a similar amount, so perhaps it’s balanced if your play style matches your setup

    On the SVT-40, there's a damage increasing barrel, a larger caliber, and the vital perk. When all three are combined, you can get a 1 shot kill from the waist up at most ranges with minimal recoil and a much higher fire rate than the snipers. It is ridiculously easy to use, I noticed it when in custom games... alongside akimbo double barrel shotguns, but that's an entirely different discussion

    What should be noted imo is that the headshot multiplier when using the headshot barrels DOES NOT carry over. Vital will still give you a 3-hit kill to the upper chest with a StG using a precision barrel and .30 Russian Short, but it won’t be a full on 2-hit kill to the upper chest.
    How I think it works is that it straight up uses the headshot damage when it’s using any other barrel. However, when using headshot barrels, Vital “only” gives you the base headshot multiplier to the torso.
    Doesn’t mean it’s not insane tho.

    If they leave it on just the Itra and remove it from the full auto guns I think it'd be fine, convert the vital on stg and type into a barrel that does the same thing but with a downside like slower firerate or lower range

    Wouldn’t this stack even higher with someone of the dmg enhancing mags also? Like the stg has a mag that boost the dmg to like 46 so a 3shot kill base along with vital? Making the ttk that much faster?

    Love your content Ace but I believe your mistaken. All guns it seems have an attachment that will take the amount of bullets to kill up or down, the STGs just happens to be Vital. The Volks has .30 Russian short drum mag and we can boost to over 700 RPM with a 3 shot kill that has high accuracy and instant ADS and it seems like all guns can become a murder machine with the right set up and a lot of them outshine the Vital attachment

    It´s already a big issue in the lobbies I play in, with like 80-90% of people using only STG with vital, and some with the +dmg attachments as well making it even more broken. Trying to use any other weapon in those lobbies is a waste of time.

    As a counterpoint, I don't think this actually does *nearly* as much as you're suggesting. The TTK numbers you've cited appear to be hypothetical/illustrative, and only really apply to the StG when you're using the default 8mm Kurz ammo. You can already make the StG a 3 shot kill weapon with Russian Short at the cost of some modest recoil and going from 600->550 RPM (gaining velocity, pen, etc), as it changes the base damage from 29 to 41. Russian Short makes the StG one of the faster killing AR's in the game, but the theoretical TTK is still only on a par with the best options for the Automaton and BAR, and it remains behind the Volk and AS44 (which both also have secondary options comparable to the best StG/Automaton/BAR ammunition).
    Now if this made Russian Short a potential 2 shot kill we'd have a problem, but it doesn't - Russian Short retains the same vital damage (43) and consequently gains no real benefit from head/vital shots. So ultimately all this really does is let you run 8mm Kurz competitively with Russian Short - you get lower recoil and a 50 RPM boost, but also need modestly higher accuracy and give up range/speed/pen/limb damage to do so. That's "good attachment" territory, not "ban this sick filth."

      However, that said I should caveat that it might actually be outright busted with the Krausnick 620MM precision barrel, which sets vital damage to 78 and allows 2 shot kills (probably best combined with Russian Short since that still keeps your non-vital damage in normal 4-hit-kill territory and gives you more leeway with the 2 shot kill distance).

    Imagine vital if it’s the same or useable in WZ. It would be like the same time to kill someone fully plated (or maybe 2 plates) using a vital stg vs someone without plates being killed with a non vital STA

    I think it's alright for the burst gun cause your still going to be firing that 4th shot and there's still a burst delay in between, but for the others it's definitely a bit to unbalanced. Hopefully the devs take a look at it and make a change.

    Even if you made it take 2-3 shots to the upper torso to make it less effective most people still aim there so most of their shots are there.
    It will still be the best thing to run on your gun entirely for this fact alone.

    I think the ITRA is fine to have it because even with it being a little more forgiving since it is a burst it still requires skill. The others mentioned in video on the other hand probably shouldn't have it since they are a little less skill needed thus too powerful.

    Yooooo they know what they are doing... the RAT-A-TAT variant for the STG has Vital as the Prof... and that was unlocked for me when I started idk if its because of the pre order bonus. But, it's smart to do that, so people automatically use the variant and MELT PEOPLE. not even realizing it. Then now it can be called out, they can act like they were unaware of what it will do. Then nerf it. I Am vehemently opposed to having variants at the launch of the game. It let's most everyone (who pre ordered or will spend money) to bypass grinding gun levels. And, drops a VAST difference in between those who have a variant and those who don't. And, it discourages the use of different weapons... why would you switch when you have a gun with shit unlocked... now that's the only gun you have used and unlock everything during the process of using the variant. So now the reason to switch is even more slim... Also it let's noobs come in and melt people(thats why o suspect they have them)these are the attachments for the RAT-A-TAT

    Now take the mag attachment off... almost all positives. Even with the mags on, should this be something tons of people start out with? They have a decked MP-40 called SHREDDER as well. This is why I was getting upset being LITERALLY sniped by STGs across the map when I'm trying to snipe with the Arisaka! It's ridiculous. It ruins the beginning of the games life cycle. Playing my first early access match felt like the game had been out for months already...

    I don’t think I’ll play this long enough to unlock it. The full release is slightly better than the beta. I still cant see anything and all I get for directional audio is my own teams feet clunking around.

    I’m not upset ofnyou sharing info. As you said, people will find out anyway + exposure tells the devs change is obviously needed to something if it is to high extent. I’m more upset that the starting gameplay was w the MP40.
    Nah but seriously, I know people would use the STG for a bit because it was usable to rank up early in Wz, but to see it and the MP40 to this extent is annoying and disgusting. This is the time to rank up all the weapons before Wz comes out, not just use the same constant 2.. literally the killfeed is either one of those two weapons my past several matches.
    Me and some other people try using other guns but because we got to level them up, they won’t be as good & sbmm on top doesn’t help. I went against Biffle in a Dome match meanwhile my stats aren’t even that high. That should highlight something about COD.

    Maybe instead of extending the headshot area, it could extend the upper torso area to the lower torso, and shoulders. Also, does it only increase just the headshot area, or does every area get bumped up one.

    It's strong but I guess you have to accurate... but yeah I agree with Ace, reduce the multiplier by a bit if you use this. Otherwise it has no downside and increases your damage a lot. It's like high caliber used to be, a crutch because it's too good

    They should have just done something similar to high-caliber rounds in bo3 or 4. You benefit from having good accuracy and hitting those shots to the head. And you're really earning them now with how much faster this game plays. These time to kills are even faster than MW 😅. Alot of people thought MW had fast TTK and these guns do it twice as fast 🙃

    The idea of proficiencies for weapons are great but some are too good compared to others. The only reason people would use the « less good » ones would be because they have not unlocked the others yet. A cool idea with proficiencies would be to add negatives to all the ones that are clearly better than the others.

    I think it being on precision weapons like the itra or snipers/Marksman rifles would be more understandable. But on full auto weapons? Not a chance. Hell I could see it on semi auto pistols before automatic rifles

    Hey ace would you be able to look into the hardcore mode possibly being broken I don’t think there a gun that can get a 1 shot kill unless you use the mp40 with the high damage rounds but feels like you need to be point blank still .
