It was awful watching it live! I was scared for everyone. The worst part was the only coverage live I got was on a different channel, one I dislike. I was begging for KTLA coverage, but only got the "competition". Not at all in the same quality as KTLA.

It is because Cali LEO's were not issued Balls to do their jobs. Try this crap in Marion County, Fl. They have a "No High Speed Pursuit" policy, which means the LEO's can use any means necessary to stop them immediately, which means "Crash Them". Not even PIT, because people escape them. MCSO says crash them into a lake, a wall, whatever. I Love Marion County, Fl. 🇺🇲🤟🇺🇲🤟🇺🇲
I was thinking the same thing. I was just out in la a few months ago and I tell ya the way the people drive on the freeways there and I’m talking the normal daily drivers that aren’t in pursuit..😒

the police are the ones who control how dangerous it is, these police did well and did not try to ram his car with so many other cars around. They backed off and followed from a distance as not to pressure him or cause a crash.They got him isolated from the public and arrested him without injury to anyone.
Because aggressively ramming or shooting a suspect in heavy traffic is reckless and the fault is on the police.

Airship sounds like a term that police themselves would use to identify their helicopters. Police call their motorcycle cops "motor officers", and I think police cars are just called patrol units. Police and news helicopters do communicate sometimes while in the air covering events like police chases. I heard the lady news commentator in this video say "the airship said ........" so I reckon it helps them differentiate between police helicopters and news helicopters. Only web reference I could find is in Wiktionary: 'AIRSHIP - (US, law enforcement, aviation) - A police helicopter/Police air unit'.

KTLA by far has the best coverage all the time. Driving in CA has really become dangerous. Between the high speed chases and the road racing 🏎️ and intersection take overs you take a risk every time you get behind the wheel of a car.

how did they ditch the car under the bridge and not immediately get caught? the cop entered the bridge shortly after the fleeing vehicle and the two suspects casually jogged out the other side of the bridge and argued for some with no cop in sight. AND the female suspect actually ran back towards the car and still managed not to be apprehended
they just needed to find a parking garage attached to a shopping mall.
