I would like to see this same video with a few updates to it like showing the settings being used and the after engraving tumblers cleaning view I guess you could say it’s a step by step video from start to finish as far as I know no one on RUclips does a start to finish showing the whole process in detail it would be nice if someone would start this trend I’m sure it would be a lot of work but I think it would be worth it more especially to your viewers
I really wanted to see you wash that Tumbler to see if it really came out like the other lettering that you have on your tumbler I would have been sold on the F1 if it came out as clear as silver underneath

Wow, I used my 2.5W laser on the 3018 for the first time yesterday, coaster image took 45mins. These would be great at markets, engraving on the spot. And then you just mentioned going to Craft show, yep, $$$$
@@babbagebrassworks4278, sorry, I misread your quote. I thought you were saying your F1 took 45 minutes. My experience so far has also been with the slower stepper motors (on 15 and 100 Watt CO2 lasers), but obviously with biggers "beds" than the F1 which is also nice to have in some instances. Recent work has focused on burning small-ish (maybe 3.5" square) powder coat off vacuum tumblers with a 15 watt CO2 laser and it takes a painful 12 minutes to do the burn. I'm trying to understand even if the galvo itself (the movement of the beam) is faster, with such short "dwell time" on each "pixel" of powder coat paint, if the laser is moving hyper fast, we it truly fully burn the paint? I have to slow the 15 watt CO2 to about 15% of its max speed to get a proper burn and I'm not clear if the faster speed of the galvo will even come into play in this application if the optical power is only 12 watts...
Mate can you advise where to buy the raw materials (metal business cards, wood keychains, etc) from ? Need it for setting up a small business hence the price needs to be sustainable.
I know that it will probably go unanswered since this video is a couple of months old, but can the "cutting" laser cut a 90⁰ vertical edge around an outline? With the emitter being in a stationary position, one would assume that any edge cutting that isn't directly below the emitter would be at an increasing angle the farther from the center it gets.
Hi, I bought this bc I made handmade jewelry and I wanted to add my logo tags but they are really small and I want to do like a big batch at the same time, do you know how can I do that?
Probably not with this machine as you have to deal with one item at a time. But with the speed of this machine you can probably knock out a bunch in one hour. But if you don't mess with that, you most likely need the M1 or S1 series
I commented on one of your previous videos today, where you showed us how you made those beautiful pictures with the S1 20W. Can you do the same with this machine?
Love your presentation. I just tried the link which took me to x-tool's website and the product was selling at $1400 USD which is roughly $2150 AUS , but then I changed the dollar from USD to AUS , which rebooted the Web page and the price was over $6000 AUS .. so I'm very confused about the pricing.??? Any ideas as to why. Cheers Roy
not many pros but quite a few cons 1. It's extremely pricey around around vehicle prices. ranging from $1,500 to $10,000 2. It's highly dangeroud should you place your hand underneath that laser. 3. Leave the engraving to the industrial pros.
enjoyed your video! I would like to create Christmas ornaments and cards for friends and family and especially for my grandkids. I am intrigued by ability to engrave thermos, etc. as well.
I would have loved an F1 but purchased a D1 Pro 20W earlier in the year with all accesories.. Had they actually offered payment plans for people outside the US i may have considered also getting a F1 as it is super fast.
The D1 Pro is an amazing machine. At some point in the future you may want to look at getting the 2W IR diode for it. It will have the same power of the one you see here and will save you $$$
Im listen .. I don't think that you get perfect results for Metals like stainless, silber or gold. This is very weak for this material. They newer say something about metals on this Video.
I’m looking to buy one for my wife. What shipping dates you get? I seen on another post that they keep delaying shipments. Did you experience the same thing?
I bought the d1 pro 20w with the IR add on head as a package and ive got to say I’m not impressed with the IR it’s sooo slow and very hit and miss to if it marks or not , maybe it’s me but I’ve seen others say the same
If you use black tempura paint on the glass, yes. Only C02 laser can engrave glass without a medium. The wavelength of the diode laser can’t etch the glass without paint.

You do all that from the free software that you download from the website
You're great and honest...thanks a lot
I appreciate that!
Impressive tool. That is incredibly speedy. You showed things that COULD be done with it, what do you envision yourself using it for at time goes on?

can you tell or provide a link to a video that shows how fast it can cut paper or card 300gms please ?

Can you power this laser with a power bank? Or does it need to be plugged into a wall to use?
Hey there, this will work with a powerful enough power bank.
Software work on Mac?
It sure does. I use it both on windows & Mac OS.
Does it actually engrave metal or does it mark??
Depends on the material but it’s more a mark
Oh that would be awesome.
How is the X tool F1 laser ? Is it still going strong?
It sure is! Im still using it and still plan on using it!
Does this engrave glass?
If you use black tempura paint on the glass, yes. Only C02 laser can engrave glass without a medium. The wavelength of the diode laser can’t etch the glass without paint.

100mmx100mm I think but it also has extensions, maybe Cornelius can help with specifics.
