Hey 👋 It takes about 13 minutes total, because we like doing 2 passes. But some people prefer a single pass and then do some additional scrubbing afterwards with higher power and the blue laser.

Both...we are architects and we're interested on engraving vectors (SVG) and renders (PNG)... I'm struggling with the settings ...almost all my tryouts are burnt or almost ghosted engravings
Hmm do you mean that you want to see the outline of your design instead of the square? If so click the button with 3 dots next to the framing button and switch it to outline. Hope that helps!

Thank you!!! I am a newbie and have a question: I engraved a steel pizza cutter; all went well but I washed it in the dishwasher and some letters faded...(settings: IR 100% , speed 80, 2 passes, lines 300)
I have problems with the IR after the Firmware update. WHAT I used to do in 5 to 6 minutes takes me 20 minutes now when I make a simple little 4 letter name. Anything I can do? Some help? I bought the F1 Xtool to do fairs but with that time it is not good for me. Thank you.

Do you have the correct USB cable connected to the correct USB on the F1 and the computer? You can’t connect to Wifi until you connect with the USB first. If you can’t use the USB then you need to contact XTool for help.

When framing, sometimes the square shows under the object. Do you have a solution for that?
Hmm do you mean that you want to see the outline of your design instead of the square? If so click the button with 3 dots next to the framing button and switch it to outline. Hope that helps!

I am finding using text is very cumbersome in the updated version--once it's typed in, I can't edit. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. help?

Hmm it appears that some others have been experiencing the same issues. We believe xTool is currently investigating
Hope they aren’t trying to push the Ultra on people making the original F1 slower. 😮

I think I need to upgrade the software 1st. My xcs does not look like yours. What version is that?
It’s version 2.0 but it is still in beta. So you may experience some issues.
