Sorry to hear about getting laid off again. Like I said last time, take advantage of the opportunity and make things happen. You will do great with whatever you end up doing, and no matter what, you will be fine in the end. You're good with money and able to quickly adapt and pivot when needed. Good luck and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
Thanks for sharing this. I got laid off in February while on maternity leave. I've gone back to full-time online selling and am really happy. I worked in tech for ten years and was that the company I got laid off from for almost 3.5 years. So over the tech toxicity.
I got laid off a couple of times in my career. I used it to redirect my career to more financially rewarding roles through specific training courses. This enabled me to become a very high earner. Keep looking at the market and tailor your skills to what is in demand. You will be fine, keep pushing forward.
I feel like you are so good at social media! Maybe you could also be a social media consultant for others looking to grow? Idk how that would work. Just an idea. Also, 100% don’t feel bad about “crawling back” to the recruiter. They are probably just thrilled to have another good candidate that they can make money on 🤑
Oh so sorry for you! I really think you'll find something new (hopefully soon). I would encourage you to stay relevant in the tech industry and like you said, the pay (and benefits) are great. It's awesome you have some side hustles to fill in the gaps. Good luck!
In Germany and other european countries it's way harder to lay off people. Mostly there is a 6 months probation period were the employee or the employer can end the contract within two weeks. After that probation period there need to be really really good reason to get you fired and even than you have at least a 3 months notification.
Nope, not here in the US. Just got laid off today for purely financial reasons. No warning, no probation, just “sorry, it’s a numbers game…” And the last All Hands meeting kept telling everybody how great the company was doing. Ironic, ha? Gotta pay for those acquisitions somehow!
I haven't had any fun lately, 😭❤🙂I love the kind and generous heartwarming atmosphere that you create, your kind, easygoing, warm vibe. ❤I like the essence how you live on. I need to be true to myself and find a job I am passionate about. I want to find a way to live as who I really am.
File for unemployment and collect in full. Companies have insurance for it. No reason to feel like you are burdening tax payers. Next job: focus on what metrics companies use to quantitatively value an employee. Then, pad those numbers. To a middle manager, you are a serial number with a productivity stat. That's it. None of your other qualities matter to middle management when they need to cut to hit their quarterly targets. So, find out what they measure and load it up. In my job, it was billable hours. So, I loaded up my billable hours. Occasionally, I got pushback from clients on the hours I billed, but that is never on the same report as your productivity. So, push the metric to look like the best, most productive, employee. Remember, the person that makes the decision doesn't know you. They only know your serial number and productivity rate.
Came over from your ig post. Keep your head up it will work out. To respond to some of your questions. Yes rebrand all your handles to be the same. If you are struggling with watch hours just do a live steam, the watch hours count double or something to the effect so you would get the watch hours within the week. I would say go all in on social, but you said you haven't made anything yet, maybe do a side hustle until the socials start making money? I lost my job 2 years ago and I just leaned into Doordash, reselling and social media (before I made a dollar)... 2 years later I still haven't needed to look for a job. Let's just say video editing is in high demand and it's a high value skill. Just image how valuable it would be to a small business to get 10000 potential leads (views). Anyway hope this helps.
Hi! Based on how you did last time i think you will do great no matter what. I think you will end up doing it all. And yes, change your name to make more money.
tech is pretty volatile right now though. unfortunately if you keep going back i'd expect this to keep happening for a few years to come. it there any hope in being a contractor with what you do?
Sadly unless you are an MIT genius type layoffs are just part of working in tech. Even when companies are doing well they often do layoffs as work is moved overseas.
@@JD-vj4go funny you mention MIT when there is a ivy leaguer who also did a tech layoff video too. His channel is @will.rising. I would think MIT and the ivy leagues are on par with each other
Even if you get another job, work towards working for yourself. It's SO MUCH BETTER. My SO is in tech, and goes through this periodically (bleh), but I run my own business. I never worry about getting laid off. And I don't get bogus, idiotic yearly reviews. I can raise my prices when I please, and my customers love me. So to review: work for yourself = less stress + more happiness. And you can apply your marketing skills to you own business.
Welcome, to the real world. It sucks, but it's REAL. It happens to blue - collar workers ALL THE TIME. Seventeen times, in my case. Interesting to see how it's trickling up to ya office peeps. The rubber is meeting the road.
Maybe you got laid off because you were not good at your job? Sure it's bad to get fired like this but yea I mean if you were integral then it won't happen. There is this real big pattern where young women and younger folk who just get into programming and tech for the salary get a high paying job but don't actually deliver, I mean you are even complaining online, its still unprofessional since the next company will look at this.
Hello Amber , how are you ? Let's see the positive , you are free and available for some date lol . Do you want to come to France 1 week ? if no i'm ready to go to Minnesota to meet you. Let's make something crazy and cool at the same time lol .
Advice for everyone who's currently working: Keep your CV polished and updated!!
Get this girl MONETIZED!! Ugh, so sorry Amber 🙃
AMBER! NO! My jaw dropped when I saw this video title. Here for all the content you'll be pushing out while you figure out your next steps.

Beautiful Thing ❤ Everything is going to be okay ❤ This is not Rejection, but Redirection ❤ Be brave, like you have always been ❤

This culture of locking out of everything is just horrible.
I'm so sorry! Definitely take a trip if you can!
I know it was hard but your attitude seems so upbeat and positive here. I hope you get back a stable job soon.

just got laid off this week as well. I got depressed and had low self-esteem, got some comfort from this video, hope everything gets well soon.

Sending you all the good vibes! Will watch your content on repeat to help.
I've been through this too, you get no unemployment and go straight to 0, I went through that and haven't been able to find work or earn $1 since.
It sounds like your creative juices are flowing. World watch out. Good luck with everything. You just added a new subscriber😊
Congratulations on your new beginning. Embrace and celebrate this new opportunity to grow and diversify yourself to the needs of society
Happened to me yesterday, the day after returning from a vacation. First time was November 2023 😞
how much were you making?
You go girl - you'll land on your feet better than ever

Rejection is just redirection!! This is your sign to focus more on social media! :)

Sorry you got laid off. Go to El Salvador and do the rainbow slide - If you need a travel buddy, let me know!
Always have a fall back plan and money in the bank

Could you please stop saying like?
Please stop being cruel to other people
@@jennigriffin3115 "Like" is a filler word and not necessary. She uses it all of the time and it makes her sound unprofessional.
Why is it so important to you to tell others your sorrows ?
Because it is emotionally satisfying to some. Better this than something destructive which I don’t want describe in detail.
