I got a similar blower. I have a dumb question. When moving it around without the motor running, the tires seem hard to turn as if you're moving something that's in gear. Is this normal?
I just took my dads out of the garage hasnt started in 10+years cause the belts are bad.. i took the starter and spark plug off from another blower and.. it started first pull on the same gas and oil... snow starts tomarrow but i need some place to get the belts i cannot find them anywhere do u know where i can get it? also the shoot is bad need a new one
Murray tends to use belts that are an odd size so you won't find them at the local auto parts store. There are many sellers on Ebay and Amazon that carry them just make sure you have the correct part numbers. They sell belts for most other brands as well. Make sure that you don't make the auger belt too tight as it will wear out the impeller shaft bearing prematurely...they are a pain to replace.
Have you ever had problems with the drive chain in the transmission falling off?

Replace the electric starter. They're so easy to do and cheap on ebay.
