    I have the earlier version of this model. I coupled slight aileron to the rudder made for more coordinated turns. Been building R|C autogyros for years.

    Very nice guys, thank you so much for this. Thanks for braving the cold to get this review in the can. You are absolutely right about use of rudder and yaw in this and you tackle it well. Loved the laid back tone of the video too. Great watch.

    Love this model looks likes a lot of fun. Listening to the commentary it has a lot of helicopter traits. You are sort of correct in when to mentioned using opposite aileron on the turn with a helicopter. This technique is used mainly when hover taxing to keep the aircraft level. Flying at the speed Trevor was a helicopter would need 4 control inputs to maintain a steady level turn. You need to use collective to maintain altitude, Elevator to control speed and or help pull through the turn, aileron to bank the model and rudder to bring the nose around the turn. It is a very different way of flying. With practice you should be able to a stationary landing, an autorotation decent pulling back on the elevator to flair about a foot above ground to bleed off forward speed and gentle settle vertically. We bet you have so much fun with this half house to toward a proper helicopter. look forward to seeing how you progress. Your friend at Blades of Thunder wish you all at essential RC a very merry christmas and happy new year

    Hi, just a quick thanks for your video on how to balance the blades. Having broken a few, i was surprised that they work ok after a hot glue and tape fix. Hovever they do need to be balanced afterwards and the video on your channel is excellent. A link from this video to that one would be really helpfull. Andy in uk.

    Was thinking of buying myself one of these for christmas. Decided against it because there are no spare blades on website and no eta for them either. Such a shame. Andy in uk.

      I have the original G2 version. I've been waiting on replacement blades to be available for quite a long time.
      The G2 and G2V2 use the same blades.

    There's a few videos up of folks ploughing this 1 in - by trying to fly it like a normal plane. 🙄😉😊

      Not surprised. It's not for a beginner pilot. Need to understand what is going on.

    You would have thought being a gyro copter they could have moulded it like a gyro copter with a small pilot
    Looks ridiculous

    It’s only fair to point out that this craft won’t suit every pilot. Out of 8 attempts, every single one ended in disaster for me. My bad 😢

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  6 месяцев назад

      Surely you assembled it wrong or maybe had ailerons reversed? Easily done

      @@EssentialRCI only wish that it was such a simple explanation, luckily I made a video of each attempt and got some great feedback from experienced Autogyro pilots, I really did cross check every conceivable problem- I know I’m no pro pilot but I’ve flown very many planes and helicopters and this one has me stumped - If you get a chance I’ve uploaded the full 8 rounds that I had with this beauty.

      Same here. After 10 flights and 9 loss of control crashes i finally binned mine yesterday. Still had spare blades and props, but jost lost the urge to try. Was not improving at all.....and tried everything. Any yes I was turning with rudder and opposite aerolon 😢. Watched all your videos to see if that helped before my last crash. Afraid I could not see what either you or I was doing wrong, I have 55 planes, and this is the first one I have ever givin up on. Shame as others seem to love it,
