- I love this song. I feel like it truly encapsulates the bittersweet emotions of the next chapter. During the stream, we rewatched this and talked about all the references and how we felt about the group-music break. If you want to see all of that, the whole stream was uploaded to my patreon after YT blocked it.

I first "met" BTS when they got off the school bus in No More Dream and started singing and dancing. Now, nine years later, they sing their song and get back on the bus. What a way to end their first chapter!

This indeed felt like a love letter to ARMY...and yes, it felt like a bittersweet sort of goodbye to the past. They said it was the closing of one chapter and that they were excited and hopeful for the next. They just want us to understand that it isn't a goodbye, it's a hope that we follow them on their new journeys, alone and together. ARMY forever 💜 BANGTAN forever
I've yet to become a big fan of BTS, but your break down of the lyrics helps me to understand them. They are very skilled at connecting with large audiences.
My daughter and I watched this when it released and we both looked at each other and said why does it feel like they're saying goodbye? It's a beautiful videa with all the past references. Super emotional.
I felt they were saying goodbye to a stage and welcome to a new one. "Back to one" and then, they onboard the bus, going to a new destination, "the best yet to come". I wasn't expecting this pause, but I was expecting a radical change of some sort

Back to one it's more like back to them making music for the love of just music.
It continues to make me cry. It is hard to close an era of music and performances that brought me so much joy. I don't like the BTS closing that BTS door on a beautiful era. But I love them and will support them. 💜

A few points re the outfits: The outfit coloring were somewhat similar to when they covered Missing You, as well as once when they did Anpanman with a light blue and white outfits and somewhat similar background. Plus, they wore all white in Life Goes On, as well; and finally, RM's outfit during his rap was reminiscent of both when he was singing Old Town Road with Lil Nas as well as during Missing You.
Just your opening comments, I know what you mean. I cried for a week couldn't eat hardly did what I had to do tried not to walk around looking emotional. Starting feeling better after JK 'Vlive and statement from Hybe then there were a lot of things posted here and there. When I think about it the album dropped Friday 6/10, the mv aired that night, JK released a song for ARMY on Sunday 6/12, Proof live aired Monday 6/13, and the bomb was dropped on Tuesday 6/14. I understand all of what they were saying and wish each of them happiness and much success in all their endeavors. I do believe there are factors that we don't know. RM said he could not tell us everything. I felt sad for them holding so much in for so long and afraid of hurting ARMY. As their new chapter begins hopefully they will find their own footprints. I will continue to be supportive and a fan.

I suggest checking it out while reading comments so you have the visuals to go along with what people point out.
