I can't understand why there are people who hate them. Why? They are only spreading beautiful and positive messages. Their music may not be your cup of tea and that's ok, but you don't need to hate or judge them even without listening or watching them at once. Right, agree with you. Recently, I found a blog tht reviews songs and the blogger said he doesn't like any of MOTS:7 songs (despite it being one of the best selling albums in the world right now 😉 ) and he thinks Stay Gold is just 'okay'. The comment section was full with condescending tone. The weird part when I read those who said they find comforting and motivational lyrics in BTS songs as cringey. They feel tht BTS are boasting that they know all.
Maybe people like that are those who have really lose hope with their life and they are beyond repair... idk 🤦♀️
Becus ppl are miserable in general so they tend to not like seeing ppl happy. Sad world hope they can find their way out life is too short💪🏼💜🥰
@@user28221 I can see why people would think BTS thinks they know it all, but they have never once said they do in fact not everything nor have they insinuated they do. I've never thought the boys were ever boastful. Lol I've had people tell me that all the time and all I can say is that we say what is true to ourselves at that time in our lives. We're not trying to impose what we think unto people, but we state what is true to us or for us. That's different than being boastful or a know-it-all. That's what I think anyways hahaha. Sometimes, I just think people just want to find anything to hate about the boys because bringing them down makes them feel good about themselves? I dunno hahaha
I don't know why people hate them but I know they make me a person who don't hate people for no reason and make me kind enough to feel good about myself 💜

BTS stated in a live video that “Stay Gold” was to comfort and help/heal their fans (and the world) during quarantine. It’s so relative to what’s going on in the world right now, that after the darkness they are telling people to keep their light, remember the happy times will come again and that there is hope. So I think that oldies vibe you mentioned in the music was to create nostalgia for the good times. BTS is the only group I know right now that really focuses on healing people and the world through their lyrics and charitable actions. In addition to $1M to BLM, this week they gave $1M to Live Nation Crew charity to help the stage crew people who work on concerts and events out of work right now, and also won an award from Unicef last week for their Love Myself Campaign to end violence & bullying towards children and youth. I’m not sure if you noticed but there are also a few visual elements and correlation with Spring Day-Fake Love-Stay Gold!

Merlyn Craddock - This song though is in Japanese, released with their Japanese album, MOTS7- The Journey.
I'd really recommend you to check out their "Dear Class of 2020" performance, it's one of the best live I've seen from them - they were really feeling it ;D (they did Boy with Luv, Spring Day and Mikrokosmos).
Also have you seen the "We are Bulletproof: the Eternal" MV that came out like 2 weeks ago during Festa? It's just stunning.
Both that Dear Class performance video and the Bulletproof MV are on BangtanTV channel and not Big Hits. You are right, they are feeding us so well

Jin killed this song and V’s parts are always so addictive. It’s interesting how the BTS rapline have taken to lots of melodic rapping lately. That kind of rapping fits so well with these slower and more heartfelt songs.
I also want to see me some more of Rock Jin. Those power vocals need a guitar attached to it.
I've noticed that their Japanese raps tend to be more melodic in general. Lights and Let Go are the same way. It may be a preference for the Japanese market?

For live vocals to me you can't get much better than the Armypedia performances. Just ugh, *chef's kiss*. Definitely recommending those if you're looking to react to more live stuff.

Only the actual background is (hills far in the distance) is cgi. The tree, flowers, water, where they were walking, was all real but created in a large studio. There are pictures posted on IG showing the process & it’s AMAZING!

You need to watch or listen to "Lights" by bts. It's another Japanese song from 2019. Their vocals are beautiful on it. Not sure why they kill it even more (if that's possible)with Japanese songs, but they do.

jimin ends his phrases with that little uptick (sometimes it leans a little more into a cry?) frequently. it's a hallmark of his vocal style, you'll hear it a lot of you watch more lives :)
Man when you start to watch more of their live performances it's gonna be fun. Their songs are already amazing and top notch but somehow they always sound even better live. I can't even think of any other artist who manage to do that consistently

The first time I heard this song it gave me Disney vibes, which is very appropriate for what this song is intended for. Really sweet and positive. Also the live performance was just flawless!

This song is just so cute and beautiful yet it seems so sad, it kinda gives me spring day and i need you vibes as well.
I love the meaningful lyrics and the mv firs perfectly, this is my favourite Japanese sing they have released so far.
Also the vocals are even more beautiful in this song and Yoongi’s vocals as well as Jimin’s sound so sweet and cute and caring.

Also their smiles are just the cutest especially Yoongi’s and Jungkook’s, also I love how Tae was the one to “ turn on” the tree by touching the purple moss as he was the one who came up with what the colour purple meant and the message to me from this song is no matter how dark and difficult life gets just stay positive and happy. The tree scene was not cgi it was a set that was built...if you search online you will find a series of photos of the building of the set...it is pretty amazing....the hill is built of wood and then everything covered in flowers etc.
The vocal line killed it once again! and the rappers never disappoint either.
Even though V often does not have the highlight parts of the song to show off his vocals, he always stands out to me. I'm happy you noticed his vocals too, as most just focus on his looks!

Their Japanese songs are always a treat to listen to. They're different than their Korean ones but I can't put it into words how. I'm not even sure if I actually know what the difference is. Maybe the overall mood? The style? Composition? I'm don't know, but they're always so nice to listen to. Don't Leave Me is one of my favourites and Crystal Snow is great too 😄😄 But Stay Gold is such a delight! I particularly like the plinky piano that plays throughout. The chorus is really uplifting! I can't not be happy listening to this song. I makes me feel all glowy inside my brain 😊😊😊 I really like what you said about the scale being used in the 50's and 60's with the oldies music (Golden oldies 😉😉 ). I didn't know that but it makes sense because I felt like it has a classic vibe to it, almost nostalgic in a way. But the good kind of nostalgia!
Jin's vocals on the chorus are so nice and clear and strong. And Gukkie kills the adlibs as always, Golden Maknae turned up to the max. Jimin, gosh his voice is just unbelievably pure and sweet, it fits the mood of the song perfectly. And Tae, I really love his tone in everything but there's something about him in this song that's even more amazing than usual. My boy Suga Suga (how you get so fly?), I will admit that I have a soft spot for his mellow rapping, the almost melodic spoken word style is really lovely to hear. The same with Joonie too, it's just so smooth and low and wonderful. And Hobi, our Golden Hyung, he really shines in this, even when he's singing it's still so distinctly him, it still has his rap flair.
Your casual analysis of the live performance is very refreshing, it's nice to hear your insights and music knowledge without the aim of it being a complete analysis/break down. You point out things that you find interesting or cool and I really like that. I didn't know how playback and the earpieces worked at all but you explained it in such an understandable way. Live performances are always incredible to watch. The vocals, costuming, set, choreo. It all comes together into one big spectacular show. I really like the Pied Piper one from the 5th Muster last year. And, if you ever want to watch a live performance to put a smile on your face, Otsukare by Suga and J-Hope (aka SOPE) is really fun.

This song went straight into my playlist!! Each member... killed it!! It was beautiful and touching from beginning to end! I loved the live version more also.. just seeing them sitting relaxed but belting out those gorgeous notes.. heaven!! The rap line joined the vocal line huge!! Jin really got to shine but biased or not Jimin's high notes sinched it for me!!

Jimin - Lie (honestly my most favourite. god he killed this), Serendipity (so you can fully fall for him), Promise (that's all him. soundcloud release) and Filter (a very unique song if you ask me)
Jin (yea he's my vocal line bias) - Epiphany (the Army anthem), Awake (his first solo as someone who had to learn to sing as a trainee) and Moon (his love letter to Army)
JK - Euphoria (truly a beautiful song), Still With You (his new release) and Decalcomania (we are waiting for the full version in his much awaited mixtape).
V - You seem to have heard Inner Child and Singularity. You have Stigma (You HAVE to hear this if you love his voice), Sweet Night (it's a chart topper in 100 countries for a reason), and Winter Bear (my personal favourite).
