I have seen other videos on this topic your is by far the most entertaining. My favorite pic is the one with his mom.
Thank you very much, I agree!
Interesting that Till got started with Rammstein at 31 years old, this gives me hope that not everything needs to be sorted out in one's twenties 😅
Being 30 means you finally have the money to do the shit you wanted to do in your teens, but in a body that's mad that you waited so long. Lol!

I am 44 and just got my bachelors! Don’t give up, just enjoy the journey!
@@jthornburgster congratulations!😁
Charisma, intelligence and showmanship! Loved Rammstein since 1995. One of the world’s best live bands.
Dude... totally agree! I've seen them 2x (Berlin 1998, and San Antonio last week!), and I've yet to be disappointed!
Genau das ist es jetzt.
Die haben viel auf sich genommen, um bekannt zu werden. Die haben zum Teil sogar gehungert.
I discovered metal when I was 12, Rammstein was one of my first fav bands. 24 years later, still obsessed. And god dam, Till ages well. German fountain of youth ?
If he saw you, there would be a 3d Mrs. Lindemann!
Till keeps getting better with age! I fell in last with his voice, then saw him. The girl parts of my brain all fired at once.
I am a 70 yr old woman who has loved Rammstein ever since I first heard them and saw them in the movie XXX years ago. Thanks for the further insight into my favourite singer…schuss!💕
Really? Do you like other rock?
Werner's son touched more lives than he could ever have imagined.
That's what I think too. You have to imagine that when they started with Rammstein, Till, Paul and Richard were already fathers and had absolutely no money. Flake writes in his book that they had often not enough money for food.
AFAIK was Richard strongly involved in getting Till becoming a musician at all. They became friends before Till met Paul & Flake. Richard helped him to get drums and later recorded Till when he was singing at work, this is why he conviced Till to sing in Rammstein. Give Richard some credits, wihtout him, no Rammstein. People tend to forget that Rammstein is not just Till :D
I am obsessed with Till. Always have been. For me, he is a mystery. I rarely see him give interviews and when I do he is very soft spoken. I think he's super handsome and can't wait to see him and Rammstein live next August! Love you as well Dave!!
Me too!...and i am 60!
I agree. I'm bummed they had to reschedule their American tour. There are 2 bands who were supposed to be touring this year that I really wanted to see. Rammstein and Palaye Royale.
Till is hot IMO. I always liked older guys and knew I was getting old when guys my own age were attractive to me. Lmao. So good to crush on Till who's older. I'm 45. 😂😂😂
@@yvettebowles9011 I agree that Till is hot as hell!!! Im 38 lol and I've always thought he was super attractive!!
Im a straight dude, but when i saw Rammstein’s live video from Bizarre festival 1997, Till looked like a snack. Lol. Hes still handsome too. He stays in shape.
@@subway5907 absolutely!! Im a straight female and I will be the first to point out a beautiful woman! If you got it, you got it 🤷♀️🤣 and Tills got it!
The best thing about Rammstein...I don't understand 99.8 percent of their lyrics, yet can enjoy their music.
lyrics are usually redundant anyway. but boy is German metal.
How ever.. rammsteins lyrics are brilljant! Often better the songs : mein teil, dalai lama, and so on
He is definitely a very handsome man with an air of mystery about him there’s definitely more to him than meets the eye! Love you Till from England God Bless and thank you for your time and for making our lives that little bit more enjoyable 🇩🇪🇬🇧🎚🎸🤘💞✝️😘🎚🙏🏻🎸🤘🇩🇪

Thanks so much for that! I'm an older person who's really more into classical music. One day, a friend showed me a video of Rammstein and something made me look up translations of their lyrics. I've been a fan ever since! There's just something about Till, isn't there? 😍
Ooooh yes. I touched the tips of his fingers at a festival back in the day. Caused me to get two cracked ribs from being pushed against the guard rail by the crowd behind me.
2 second eye contact. Totally worth it 🤘🏻.
Rebroke them at Marilyn Manson in ‘99 and then again messing with an ice hockey player.
They still ache when it gets damp because I’m old 😂
6 months ago, I never heard of Rammstein. Please remember, I'm American and 57 years, guitar player, classically trained trumpet since 7 years old. .... I watch 1st RAMMSTEIN Video and I was hooked. I think Rammstein is cool, fun, and at same time philosophical due to Till's thoughts and lyrics. The Americans had a band named KISS in the 1970's , that is the nearest comparison I can think. But Rammstein is 1000000x better. I hope I attend 1 Rammstein show before I die. I know it will be incredible. I also respect Till Lindemann very much because he appears to be humble and deep in thoughts. And The band works hard, and is very dramatic, they work hard at entertaining, and work hard at producing a good and thoughtful show. I love them very much and they are in my top 3 bands of all time in my life, next to Van Halen and AC/DC. Till and Rammstein are ICONIC. There has been nothing like them in past, and will not be again. ICONIC. I am old and can tell you this from my wisdom - I think every person on earth needs to go to at least 1 Rammstein concert in their life, for a life experience on earth to be complete !!!
They’ll be on tour for the next few years, nows your chance to get a ticket, don’t hesitate!
Thank you so much for this, it was really good and I did learn a few new things and love the photos. What a man. I do hope you do a similar video for each member. They are all just so interesting and deserve equal attention too! I want to especially learn more about Ollie, he is such an enigma haha! :)
This is incredible work. Very informative and well formatted. Danke!!
Thank you for reminding about how life is unpredictable. That is a great reminder I totally forgot when things I planned crushed.
Thank you! It made my day to learn more about Till.
Danke für das video und die informationen. Cooles video wie immer! 🤘🏻😼
danke dir. hast dir wirklich viel mühe gegeben. rammstein ist seit jahren eine meiner lieblingsbands und finde es richtig gut auch mal neue/private dinge zu erfahren! tolles video!
Thanks dude. Great vid as always. Love from the UK!!! Xxxxx
This was a thoroughly awesome video, well done sir!! Even adding vocab etc - I so super appreciate it. 💜💜💜
I certainly did enjoy this. I liked the pictures from the early days. Vielen Dank.
Thanks! It was pretty hard to find those (1) in a more or less decent quality and (2) in general. :D
Thank you for this video. ☺
I was thinking with myself just yesterday about this subject, so it seems like you read my mind lol. Great video, and I hope you may also do the same for the other Ramm boys. Best wishes from Brazil!!!
Seems like you put a lot of effort into this, I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing and subscribed!
Thanks 25 year fan and yes I learned something did not know about his father and the other bands b4 Rammstein thanks 4 making the video 👍
Thank you for sharing this, many thanks from the UK, me and my wife love Rammstein.
Hey, super. I enjoyed it and found it interesting. Still have to see them live though. Bis zum nächstes mal.

I enjoyed your video. I am a fan of Rammstein and they are part of the reason I have started learning German. Danke schön !
Hows it comin along
A great video thanks for making it.
And if anyone wants to know how the famous Till-Hamer came to be (During the live shows of the band, Till stands half-crouched and pounds his thigh with his fist)? He often suffered from a dislocated knee and doing that pounding motion brought it back into place. And because of a comment from one of the band members, that became his trademark.
Dude,awesome video 👍Danke schön !
Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed this! :)
Vielen Dank
Wow Thank You So Much. Great History of Till Absolutely Amazing. From Los Angeles California 😎🔥🍻

Very interesting video! 💕💖👏 👏
I went to Germany and into West Berlin in 1988 to play a show with the band I was in. I was only 18 and knew nothing about the world.
But as an American, I could not get my mind around the fact that there was a wall running through it, keeping countrymen separated and I heard a lot of stories from kids who’d never met their own extended families on the other side of the wall. Even their own grandparents. It’s still one of the most profound and odd things I ever experienced. Korea is still dealing with this very thing where countrymen and families are separated.
We fought the wrong enemy in WW2. The commies were the true evil.
I found it really interesting that you felt the need to explain the difference between the FDR and the GDR. For that to have happened 30 years ago and it to be a topic that is so unknown, that’s kinda surprising.
I remember the wall coming down... it's funny though that we forget so quickly that there was an East Germany.
The irony is that they called themselves the DDR yet there was nothing democratic about it. I was a frog. Federal republic of germany.
Probably for the Zoomers.
Thank you ! Good Show .. Go on like this ! ❤️🙏
Great vid!!!👍
Loved the content of the video..And what else i learned is my German still sucks ...Keep the videos coming.. Great job..
Are you planning on doing videos on the other guys of the band? I'm looking forward to seeing one about Richard or Paul; great video though very informative! 👍❤🇩🇪
Hi from London I enjoy your video ,,Thanks a lot ,,,
Interesting video. Thank you. Can you maybe do a video about the other bandmembers too?
Gracias por el video, asi podemos conocer un poquito de su pasado interesante, como persona y no solo su obra final ^_^.
That picture of him with his mother is so sweet.
Also, can’t say much about him but his daughters are gorgeous
He has grandson too. 🤗
That was so interesting that his dad was a poet and wrote children's books and till was a drummer. I too write poetry and children's books and both of my sons are drummers 🤔 Love all your videos keep up the great work 👍

I have watched them live since beginning eighties as I lived and worked in West Berlin I saw them live near the border a few times still love them after all these years please carry on you and slipknot are perfect

Amazing story!
Fascinating. I would be very interested in your ideas on the German vs English versions of the Du Hast lyrics.
I love Till ❤️
Wow this is magnetic 🧲 🤔! Interesting history! Danke!🇩🇪🎼👌❤️😎❗
So both Till Lindemann and Bruce Dickinson had Olympic level skills. I wonder how many other rockers had this kind of athleticism?
Alice Cooper was a highly rated High School and NCAA track athlete, who was scheduled to compete in the US Olympic trials but suffered an injury, and is a scratch golf player.
Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein turned down a football scholarship to a prestigious university to join The Misfits. Wise choice.
Charlie Watts bread an Olympic champion 3 day event horse.
I used to be at a sports boading school as well and a then pal of mine, a metalhead, had his fencing glove signed by Bruce at a competition. He used to punch anyone in the face, whoever got too close to it. lol
Mike Patton climbs things and throws himself around the stage. Does that count?
I think Anthony Keidis was a pretty good athlete. I don't know what sport he would have excelled at. Maybe wrestling or some martial art. Also Brad Wilk, Tim Comerford and Flea strike me as good athletes.
Nice video. Thumbs up! :)
A constructive meant criticism:
The name Rammstein was very controversial. That was a big, very important thing, that was left out in this explanation video: The roots of the name Rammstein and the provocative and (in my opinion) tasteless origin of that name. He only mentioned the name Ramstein-Flugschau once.
The fire in all of their shows and videos comes from the origins of the name of the band. At the beginning the band was called "Rammstein Flugschau" (Rammstein Air Show). Ramstein is a German town and an air base. A big disaster happened there during an air show, when two jets collided and fell burning into the audience in the year 1988.
As far as I know Rammstein got somehow into trouble because of their tasteless name and simply shortened it into Rammstein, what one could roughly translate into "battering stone". They wrote the name of the town of Ramstein by coincidence wrong at the start (with two "m"), when they were still called "Rammstein Flugschau".
Their song "Rammstein", that brought their first big international success for them because it was used in the movie "Lost Highway", is directly singing about the air show disaster (with burning victims in the lyrics etc).
So their band and their name remained linked to that burning disaster of the Ramstein Air Show and they have still fire everywhere in all of their shows.
The original footage of that collision of the jets on the air show is still available on RUclips and elsewhere. It is terrible. That tasteless band name was the reason I wasn't a fan of the band right at the very start of their career. But this shocker name brought them fame and publicity and I became a fan of the band later on in the 1990's.
thank you
geweldig
1997... That was about the time I have discovered Rammstein for myself by myself... With "Sehnsucht" album👍.
This is a really well done vid! : ) Would you maybe consider doing a video on some of the other Rammstein members?~
Machst du das von allen Mitgliedern? Find ich echt cool 😊
Yes very good thank you
If i remember correctly Till said in the making of du riechst so gut that he didn't like swimming but as a child he complied
Danke
Just love Rammstein wentt to there concert in Gothenburg Sweden this very summer and it was awesome thanks for this video , tbere was some things i did not know , wich you all the best my freind. And is Till still deivorst?..😁
Flake has never actually joined the band. He was hesitant because he thought the music would be boring, so he played as a guest- he still does.
No🤦🏻♀️
No, he said he would do anything for the band. Today
My older brother bring to listen CD "Live Aus Berlin", in 2000`s... YAY! It was unbelieveable, my previous musical priorities was changed forever. Who knows, what`s maybe, if herr Lindemann trapped to Soviet Olimpics in 1980 (swimming juniors team).
Thank's
Thanks, dude, it's very informative. Especially for an American that doesn't speak German. One question though, why doesn't he give any interviews? It'd be so cool to have him sit down for an hour and tell all this stuff in his own words.
There some Interviews out there for example on the dvd of völkerball nimes or rammstein in america.
I read somewhere that he thinks his english is horrible,so he wont do many of them
@@angiepet232 No, he struggled with the press.
he is very shy too, very big contrast to his performance persona lol
I’ve always been a fan of Rammstein since my teens. And boy, that photo 2:24 has me dead! 😍
Me: Mentions Rammstein Literally Everyone: Du.... Du hast.... du hast mich.....
Yep, that's the only lyric they know from any song.
Everyone else: this stupid overdone meme
Me:
It would be interesting to interview hus daughter to see what growing up with Till as your only parent was like. He's so fascinating, and yet, mysterious.
Very interesting, I knew some things, but not everything you mentioned. Funny to see him as a child! Didn't he have a stormy relationship with his Dad?
Thanks! Nice to see you're doing well!
I have a curious, how he decided to perform this outline kind of music? Is it his choices or someone suggest to him?
Danke Shon, Sorry that's about the only German I know. Im from Scotland and enjoyed your story of Till Lindemann. I just wish I could understand the lyrics, but the video's give me an idea of the song. I especially enjoyed Zick Zack, I've spent all my working life in the operating theatre firstly as a scrub nurse and latterly as an anaesthetic nurse. I've worked in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and seen enough face lifts, boob jobs, tummy tucks and all the other things. So Zick Zack had a much funnier meaning for myself than some others.
If not mistaken also the lead singer of the pet shop boys started the band when he was 30 yrs old
2:18 what a little cute one🤗
I know! Love the lederhosen!
Will you make videos about the Einstürzende Neubauten? They started in West-Berlin, while Rammstein members were growing up on the East side. They're both industrial, but very different!
