I had my left wrist broken some 40 years ago. That time they were unable to operate. My wrist since then remainded about 50% of strength and agility. Reminds me every Day!

Belated congrats to you both 3 years sharing your adventures restoring your beautiful home, and honestly no amount of gadgets or money could have the amazingly beautiful results your getting from doing the restoration using mostly your own skills and the natural resources available. The wall really does look good when you get a section done. I kept thinking , "Well that wall is fine anyway," but it looks so much stronger when you have finished.

So sorry you fell and hurt your head and broke your wrist. My wife broke her wrist and I had a thigh bone shattered so no fun when you are hurt and have to heal up. Good trip back to England to help your Mom. Hope your wrist heals nicely so no pins or operation. Stay calm and carry on as you say. Blessings.

Do not let the dog chew on your fingers or nip you are asking for future troubles if you do. You cannot treat her like a child she is a dog. Her mother would nip her and put her in her place.
Poor Sharon, hope the cast eorks and you avoid an operation. Afraid that not only is it rainy but we have strong winds as well. Rain forecast for most of the week but at least you have dry, sunny days to look forward to when you get back. Take care both. ❤

oh no, Sharon, who needed this? Be careful and don’t risk a dislocation of your bones. Had my right hand broken twice past year, but luckily didn’t have to travel, only moving from one house to another with 350 km distance in between - wasn’t fun either. Take care!

Hopefully your wrist has set ok and you don`t need to go back into hospital. Great idea to take some of the load off your existing solar system.
As an eighteen year old my first job as a jobbing builder was pointing the walls of local a church. I was given ten minutes tuition and told to get cracking, three and a half months solid I worked alone and finished the job with pride bragging to all that it was all my own work as you do. A few short years later they demolished the whole church to be replaced with council homes, Bragging rights and my C.V. gone fore ever such is life.

Hi My wife travelled back to the UK yesterday and thought she had seen Sharrons double on the same flight but dismissed it as the person had a sling an cuts.
That would be me then 😂
It is too bad mom isn't spry enough to bring her over to Spain to stay with you (Sharons mom of course). Soon it will be time to put up the sun shade in the courtyard and invite some folks over for a nice barbecue and a beer. Andy needs to sew a loop on those work pants to hang his hammer maybe. I fell while on holiday and broke and fractured my arm in a few places. It's taken a full year and more to sort of being right. At least the pain is now gone. It was absolute hell. I'm 68.

Oh that’s scary taking a tumble down the stairs! Glad the rest of you is ok (at least: not broken. I imagine you have a few bruises). I had a similar broken wrist / arm when I was in my late 20s but I didn’t have to travel and take care of an aging mum. Rest up and heal; we don’t heal as fast as we used to now.

Oh Sharon I am so sorry you got hurt. I know you get lots of sunshine there in Spain but please take Vitamin D to strengthen your bones. I broke my leg about 5 years ago, I had blood taken and sure enough, my Vit D level was very low (and I should know better, I am a nurse). Love you both, take care of yourselves.💖

Tip re; Tilly. Don’t let her nip you, move away from her when she does and come back to her and leave again if she nips still. Also you could also yelp when she nips which will imitate a dog, worked with our dog, he was so surprised he hurt me. Sharon so sorry about your accident, feel for you. I recently broke my ankle, don’t recommend it. Great job on all your projects, cheers.
Thank you. I've tried walking away from Tilly and making all sorts of noises to shock her into stopping but it lasts a few seconds and then she comes back for more. She thinks I'm her plaything 🤦 but I'll persevere and hope she gets it soon 🤞
Well good job, I know it can be frustrating. We have a golden retriever and it’s difficult to calm him when we have company. I’ve bought an e collar with a control that can vibrate the collar or make a sound. After few times all I need to do now is show him the remote for the collar and lays down under our table. Lol. Btw good on you bringing out the chew toy. Cheers.

You’re right about the swa cable Andy, I have it running out to my shed/workshop and it’s a pig to work with!..although, digging the trench for it wasn’t fun either 😆…safe trip back to the UK Sharon, it’s been Baltic this week I’m sorry to say, but bank holidays in the UK are nearly always a washout like 😐..take care 👍

Goatie passed about a year ago and as Donkey was then lonely, we re-homed him to a super place, not far away with other horses and animals. He is very happy
