Whats wrong with micro usb? Its not like this is a premium product or support more than 10 watts of charging. Plus its only for charging. Its gonna keep the cost down and the weight down. If it was mini usb then that would be more concerning

Give it thermal / infrared, let it identify persons, in the night, entering your large yard and take care of them while they only hear the srrrr from the little drone. Also good for police, to identify person in their surroundings while trying to catch a suspect hiding behind a wall. Of course tracking and better recognition would be a very nice thing to add.

I'm guessing the video processing is being done on the phone itealf, which makes me wonder if the app could be used with other setups and do the same. I may give it a try. It would be nice to see the software given simple user modification capabilities. Maybe, for example, training it to recognize custom visual models. Maybe I want to use this to count cows in a field. Also, if they added simple coding capabilities, that could be beneficial. For example, if a sheep is identified in herd of cows, close all other detection boxes except sheep one, and buzz the phone to alert the user.
Right there, with some simple modifications to software, this becomes a potential tool for use on a livestock farm.

I got mine a week ago, must be the older one, the 3 speeds and take off/land on top of the radio. I got it hooked up with my tablet too (thought it be neat for spectator viewing) I figured, and they're on the way, box has space for 4 so I got 4 extra batteries already. This was easy for me (beginner) easy to set up as well, even for technology challenged persons like me.

most of the id magic is in the app, i think could apply to any fpv feed. especially could be used for hud on a pan tilt head tracked camera like for apache fpv or anything really like fighter jets of course.

Might end up getting one to take apart. Kind of amazing you can get away with a chip based gyro scope now to change the wing pitch rather than the old style ones that use two blades and a plastic flywheel on the main shaft for stabilization. I mean think about it. Most modern RC helli have a full hevey stepper motor to control the pitch but somehow this small thing has just enough so it doesn't run into a tree.

A bargain, but beginners: Be aware that a brushed tail motor will have a limited life span, so make sure you have a spare on hand. And spare rotor blades. With those items, this you will have a lot of fun for the money. Without them, you are less likely to.

    • @rjnash2610

Same... and this won't happen but imagine a model with a more powerful main motor that would use a 25-50% larger main blade for a MUCH stealthier/quieter mode of operation along with a same or smaller main body and to top it off, SD card and of course a chunkier battery allowing for minimum 35min flight time. All this would only go for $130 approx too...
Hardly a difficult thing to produce but will anyone? Sadly not enough demand but it really is something an individual with moderate skills could mod this model into...

Silly lil thing huh. I´ve used the actual ID and Tracking software in the DJI M30T and Autel Evo Max and they don't actually follow the subject either. They go into tripod mode and just yaw and use the gimbal to follow the selected subject. Those drones also use Laser Ranging to tell distance to target.

The reason why the black hornet costs 195'000 is: it's the government who is paying for it with your tax money in exchange for a well paid job as manager once they are out of office.
Regarding specs, it lacks far behind even a low budget drone like Hubsan mini ( fly time: BH: 20-25 min HM: 40min, max speed: BH: 21km/h HM: 57 km/h, range: BH 1.6 km HM 10km,...)
For the same price they pay for a Black hornet, they could buy 487 superior Hubsan mini...

I have a hard time justifying these, at $100+ CAD, over a budget quadcopter. Brushless quads with optical flow and a meh camera are $60/70. 4DRC even has a version of these helis in that price range, but this and Eachine are asking a bit much.

I’ve watched a lot of your videos over the last few years. I obviously clicked on this one for the “cool factor”. I did see the original one you did on the earlier version. I keep going back and forth on whether to buy a drone or not. I’m not a tech kinda guy. This will be my first drone. I’m basically looking for a drone that is somewhat quiet, has a decent camera (one you can direct when you’re flying, with good clarity). A good range (4-500 yards would be good). I’d like a decent fly time (I guess 15-20 min), and a return to home setting. And a spare battery, or at least the ability to purchase additional batteries. Under $250-300 would be great. Any suggestions?

After turning on the C127AI, and even if I bind it to the transmitter, I can not see the drone's WIFI access point listed among the various other access points in my area. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy J3 that is several years old. Also, should the drone show up in the detected list of available WIFI connections on a "Windows 7" (or even a "Windows XP") laptop) to aid in the diagnostics concerning this issue?
Also, if I do solve the WIFI issue at some point, it would be helpful to know if there would ever be a reason to try or use an older version of the "Sentry AI" app on the (somewhat old) phone.
Many Thanks in advance for any information, John

The wifi of the SPY HELI should show up when you tell your phone to search for local wifi. The only way it won’t show up is if your phone is a BUDGET phone and lacks the wifi at 802.11AC. Check your phone specs to see if it has the 802.11ac protocol.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Ahah... Thank You so much. I am just starting my day, and it was so nice to see this. I have had about 3 sips of coffee, and I pulled up the 142 page manual, and found no mention of the word "specifications" or "WIFI".
It seems that "WI-FI" is the term that is used. - I found a document onlone that is not 100% guaranteed to be correct that states in a "Comms" section that the phone supports the following:
      WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct
I plan to try the "direct WIFI" sub-menu, which I saw a few days ago in under the "Settings" features.
It appears that "I came to the right place", as some often say. :) Thank you once again. _John_
