@@marshallwoodford 😁😁 I’ve already got my lottery tickets for this one. Gotta move that tail wheel forward where it belongs since the USCG flies Jayhawks and the Navy flies Seahawks. Yes I am a nit picker.
As a prior USCG H60 mechanic/aircrew, I approve 🙂 pretty cool. It does need four tail rotor blades instead of two and a hoist and the external fuel tanks for accuracy. Would be cool to see it fly over water. That’s pretty cool.
@D R Yep. I seriously doubt that optical flow will work any better with 1 big and 1 little rotor disturbing the surface of the water rather than 4 smaller ones! 😉 As to "GPS accuracy is worse on the Z axis" I don't know about this model but most of these Senior Citizen's Toys use an onboard barometer for height control. 😊 Also (though I may have missed mention of it in the video) the quick badly focused look at the Destruction Manual seemed to show that the Transmitter could be easily switched between left and right throttle control and 2 Rates are also available. Not exactly sure what the "up" position of the switch 5 is for either. The Manual's description of its operation is the usual Chinglish Clear As Mud! 🙄
nice video i am thinking about getting a helicopter like the one your are flying, but my purpose is to fly slow take off and land make circles and get use to the helicopter and become a good pilot,i do not like flying fast because of my eye problem so nice and slow as she goes mr. spark.and another thing a beginner needs to learn the basic of ground work, setting the gps and calibrate the transmitter before take off.
IKR!!!! it’s nuts how much of a market is being missed!, the amount of helis/trucks/cars/tanks we’ve all fpv’d over the years is crazy! It’s how I got into Quadcopters actually from FPVing my Axail trucks and adding Crossfire 😃👍
You are quite correct, I would love one. Unfortunately as a South African it’s a bit difficult, the exchange rate and import duties are awful. Thank you for showing the models capabilities, it looks really scale in optical mode.
What a perfect scenario to fly an UH-1 US Coast Guard livery helicopter. Great job, and indeed, after seeing this, there is no way one will not wish for this heli.
Many thanks for posting Captain; a little on the expensive side however very tempting !!! as an aside, cant believe the swift change of weather conditions in your neck of the woods !!!
Looks fantastic. I grew up near the Coast Guard base in NC and my neighbor was a rescue copter pilot, so I saw the real blackhawk and dolphin ones a lot. I'll stick to building tiny whoops and my old mavic for filming, but that's a pretty amazing set of features for an RC toy!
I fly DJi drones. This is a nice helicopter. You were right when you said I will want one after watching. I do wonder since it's over 250 grams. Will I have to register it. Thank you for a great video.
Wow the micro RC heli's have advanced light years in just 5 years real time. I still have the Syma indoor helis (coaxial) from years ago and I thought they were awesome. I may have to jump back into it with one of these $500+ rigs. LOL
Excellent like always Steve!!!! We love helicopters you know, and this one its a great machine and the price its unreal for the quality you getting. Thanks for all the info and the fun, you are the best! Cheers to Steve 2 and all the guys.
I'm gonna have to look and see if there is a USN Seahawk version. I'm not even into this stuff anymore but I used to work on the SH-60B and the nostalgia hits hard. Ooh, never mind, that guy is expensive.
Nice review. As noted by another person, the name is "Jayhawk." It's designation was originally HH-60J but they were converted to MH-60J in 2007. The "cargo doors" are crew doors.
Just retired from the CG in October. Never got to see the 60’s too much. Was around 65’s a lot though. (Patrols on 4 cutters, and last duty station was the ESD in Humboldt CA)
It's definitely a great looking helicopter Steve? I think it sounds like that because of the weather? But it is a very nice looking heli. Thanks for sharing Steve. 👍👍👍
Great video of the features!...I bought one. I noticed you had an inside flight....What is the throttle secret to launching inside to prevent ceiling strikes. All of my launches outside would be higher than the inside ceiling.
Okay now i want the helicopter too😕😕😕😕... Beautiful review as always captain... I see you now include footage of a drone helping the gopros to film the reviews. Well done!!!!!!
Thanks. I have been trying to incorporate the many drones I have into the reviews of products that are Non-Drone, since this is the Captain Drone channel.
well Steve it look's better than the other which i bought first flight broke whale fin then wheel shock near side red light wire broke came to take it apart a lot of screws missing to split body, i wonder why there was a bag full of screws cost to much to send it back what a load of rubbish did complain but not heard any thing but this one looks great.
Is it a Blackhawk in the Coast Guard variant? You’d think it would be a Seahawk like the Navy variant. Great video. Looks like you need to start finding homes for all those aircraft. Should raffle off to your subscribers. Thanks for all the info!! Oh wow!!! That Heli is close to a grand … ouch. A bit speedy for dogfights with the DJI but still very cool!!
Great review I didn't bother trying to apply for stickers this year because I have applied two years in a row and did not get any love your channel have a great Christmas One Love🙏👊🎄
Really like the video & the Heli. I want to get one. If one has no experience flying an RV helicopter is this one "user friendly", it would be my first time flying one. Let me know thanks. Like all your videos.
Another great review Steve-O but man that hollow body resonates from the prop eh? Looks amazing though. I'd love to go flying with you. You have rc's for months not days.lol Camera drones, planes, heli's and fpv! To much fun!
so it comes with a whole bunch of extra features including fpv wich is amazing. but it seems it lost the ability to fly upside down like it's predicessor. (the e200) though i guess if you bind it to a diffrent transmitter that you can fly upside down aswel.
Beautiful UH-60 Coast Guard heli. I just purchased and want to know how do you charge the battery...the manual is not helpful. Do you charge with the battery off and just monitor until the display on the white balance/Charger goes up to 12.0 Volts. For example I started charging at 11.3 Volts and went up and stood at 12.0 Volts (within 20 minutes)....Upon turning on the battery to Check the bars...I saw 4 bars. Is this how you charge the battery..Did I do it correctly
Cool video nice Heli. The price bites hard really hard to me is not worth the price point with it’s 3 batteries or one battery definitely not a price friendly beginner Heli 😢😢😢.
Thanks for posting this.I was readt tobuy one but have second thoughts about the constant bouncind up and down (visible in other videos) and the poor FPV performance. They need to lower the price or improve the performance

I just got this helicopter. So far so good.
Do you know if I could fit crossfire to it at all?
The advancements and technology loaded in a “toy” these days is just amazing to an old guy like me.
I agree. There is way more more processing power in this helicopter than man used flying a spacecraft to the moon.
As someone who used to work at Sikorsky & had a hand in building the 1st generation of these. I want one.

The Coast Guard version is called the Jayhawk, not a Blackhawk. My neighbor in Sitka, AK was a CG pilot and flew them. Cool bird!
