In europe there is an advanced version of this model that already comes with the quicksifter and steering stabilizer so that might be the reason for it to be pre wired and programed factory

I bought a new white nk last week and immediately ordered like half the oem parts catalog and a leovince exhaust I can't wait for the aftermarket to catch up so we get more slip-on options and things like fender eliminators, integrated taillights, and windsheilds
Definitely is a fun bike, i have the advanced model. From the beginning only the kicking second gear problem, it may have a chance to drop back to neutral. The more you ride, the less chance it gets. So maybe needs a little bit more break in time.
After seeing this and buying my 800nk yesterday, I ordered the stabilizer and quick shifter. But now I want the tall seat, maybeee some different mirrors, windscreen option? Suspension setup? Cat delete? So many options! 😊
I get the Chinese version of the bike, the dashboard is normal(not 8 inch big display), which I like, the quickshifter, damper and traction control are pre-installed, the only negative is that I can’t connect it to the application, that is probably the best version of this bike, this version in China costs $6250, but I’ll pay about 2800 more for delivery and customs clearance
yes but that's the newest version. some people bought the 800NK earlier, before they sold the advanced model with the quickshifter, steering damper, TC, etc.
i frequently ride my 2024 street triple well over 100, and i've never once noticed any amount of steering shimmy. every other bike i've ridden has had some amount, but not the '24 street triple. so i don't know how difficult it is to make a bike both nimble and stable, but triumph have done it. they found the goldilocks zone.
In your opinion, hows the engine holding up? My only concern with this bike is the horror stories I've heard about that 790 engine. A lower price point is great, but not when the bike will spend 50% of the time in the shop because of a poorly built mill
I bought my NK a week ago. Dealers no longer offer the QS kit. It's also not on the CFmoto website. Team MSC has them listed on their site and I ordered it, but after 4 days I'm still waiting for shipping confirmation. Hope they can come through.
Now that’s something I would never expect a manufacturer to do is send parts and not have one of their people put the parts on. That also says something about the brand itself, they feel their product is to the standards that the average customer might have the knowledge and ability to install stuff themselves, especially when they are manufactured for a specific purpose and product. I have a clx700. The only issue I had with it was when in 6th, the gear selector would pop to 1st randomly. The fix from CFMoto was to remove a copper washer from the sensor and reinstall. Took me 10 minutes, including getting tools out and putting them up to fix it. 100% would recommend their bikes.
so in theory you can turn the old 800NK into the 800NK advanced, but with the smaller horizontal TFT screen? i like the smaller one more than the huge ipad..
@@TheGardenSnake yeah the ipad has stuff like apple carplay, bluetooth, phone calls, google maps, better readability, all that stuff. but i kind of want a nice small windscreen and i've seen a good one from barracuda, and they say that it doesn't fit with the advanced version because of the huge ipad sticking out :/

I like the idea of the KTM 790 and 890, and the CF Moto versions of the powerplant. What I don't like is all the reports of the camshafts made out of marshmallows.
@exothermal.sprocket I didn't say it wasn't an issue, just adding relevant information. Also, they aren't delaminating. They are literally being worn down by the rockers. This suggests an oiling issue. KTM has a history of pretending nothing is wrong and quietly making a design change. They are also spotty on if they cover the repair or not. They did it on the 390 and 690. Both are considered great engines now.
It has all of those things, what do you mean? Yes the quick shifter costs $200. But at least they don't have all the features already installed and place them behind a $1000 paywall like KTM does with their 'Tech Pack'.
i have a question..why is the temp on the left of the screen so high? like 5/6 boxes...isn't that alarming? i had an cfmoto450sr and it went a lot of the times at 4/6 boxes but i haven't seen me friends ktm 790 do that nor his 390 or any other bikes from my friends..does anyone know why?
It's completely normal for coolant temp to read hot end of acceptable range after riding bike and turning engine off. There's no air going through radiator to dissipate heat, but engine and coolant are still hot.
this bike is the KTM 790, the KTM is more expensive and comes with the QS installed....you just have to pay 700 to have it activated. id say not being istalled, and cheaper is far better.

@@mygi43543 dude its literally a 790 duke, CFmoto are owned by KTM. the only difference is the swing arm, fairings and dash. everything else is the same as what KTM use. even the janjuan brakes, those are manufactured by KTM.

@@gpeaes the stock damper is indeed pretty rubbish....and is not adjustable. But then again it's a standard part included with my advanced model. It's understandable. The front end gets really light on the gas.
Being in a career dealing with Chinese suppliers, I can't get behind this brand either. When I learned that certain KTM models are made in the same factory, it kind of turned me off to them as well.
Can't say I necessarily have a problem with the CFMoto brand but because of the extremely poor reliability reputation of KTM's 790/890 engine platform I'd have a hard time choosing this particular model.
I bought an 800nk last week because a customer at work let me ride his, nobody's paying me to shill, so I can be honest. Genuinely my only complaint about it is the software grammar being slightly weird at times since it's translated. Other than that, it is a fantastic bike and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it lol. For reference I had had my heart DEAD set on buying an fz/mt07 for years before I discovered the 800nk

quick shift would be great for street but not for my 2 stroke dirt bike. stabalizers are great for every bike no matter what

How is the throttle response. There is talk about it being jerky or not a slug between 3k and 4k RPM.
It can be a bit jerky in sport mode a little. Pop it into street mode and it’s good.

Whatever the cause, the cams are de-laminating. Sort of a major problem, camshaft metal.

That steering stabilizer is trash tho i have the advance version that comes with it. The steering still shakes abit when going full gas
