INCREDIBLE COCKTAILS at THE MERRYWEATHER | Louisville, Kentucky

Welcome to the first episode of SHAKEN - The Cocktail Travel Show. Join me as I travel to great bars all around the world, from dives to to five-star luxury and everything in between. I want to help you build your bucket list of great places to visit. The second part of the show features a cocktail tutorial in which they teach you how to make one of their signature drinks.
The first episode takes me to my neck of the woods here in Louisville, Kentucky. I sit down with JC Denison, co-owner of The Merryweather. JC explains what makes his bar one of my favorites and teaches us how to make the 'Beachy Palmer', a boozy homage to the Arnold Palmer. It is a perfect summer cocktail!

'BEACHY PALMER' RECIPE:
1 oz / 30 mL Lemonade (fresh lemon juice, water, sugar)
2 oz / 60 mL Mint Iced Tea (plain and/or decaf tea may be substituted)
0.5 oz / 15 mL Passion fruit syrup (passion fruit puree, sugar, water)
0.25 oz / 7.5 mL Cruzan Black Strap Rum
1.5 oz / 45 mL Bacardi Coconut Rum
Pour into an ice-filled shaker, shake until cold, and pour all contents into a Tom Collins glass.
Garnish with a mint sprig and a lemon wedge.
