Glen Allred; as solid a true, Gospel quartet baritone as I have heard.

I remember when this happened. I was with the Weatherfords and I remember walking into the building and the Florida Boys were doing their sound check. They were doing Rainbow Of Love and Billy Todd proved that he hadn't lost a thing in retirement. He was blowing holes in the floor! A very nice guy and a great bass singer.

My favourite period of the Florida Boys was with Billy and Tommy!

Great reunion of a classic Florida Boys lineup. On this video, "Jesus is Coming Soon" is the original recorded version, and the "Boys" are performing a VERY nice lip sync. "Welcome Home" is sung live, and Tommy Atwood (as Les points out) sings it beautifully.

What a beautiful rendition of a beautiful song! The Florida Boys have always been one of my favorite gospel quartets. I've always felt that Billy Todd is one of the most underrated bass singers I have ever heard. He's like a bottle of fine wine. He just gets better with age.

+Ma007rk I agree. He was as solid a bass singer as I have heard, with great tone and one of the best at solos that I haver heard. I never heard him fake or fry sing a low note.

That was a very popular song back then, recorded by many of the groups including the Florida boys and the Oak Ridge Qt. (boys) and others.

Saw these guys many years ago. One of them could do a trumpet 🎺 sound with just his mouth .. as a kid that was a shocker ..
