He said in an interview something a long the lines of.... The trouble with Noel is that he loves and respects his guitar where as I just want to smash it...
They are a really great live band. I have never seen them play live, though. I have to say, I love watching their live performances. Some songs do sound better live. I hope they do a world tour, now that they have re-united.
I saw a van parked outside of a store with a weird logo that said The Bugman on it and laughed because I literally just finished listening to this song a few minutes before.
Only in Noel Gallagher's wildest fantasies could he think up and play the chords that Coxon does in this song. Plus, if this was Blur doing an Oasis cover, it would be a Beatles cover in essence wouldn't it?
I wouldn't have thought he uses the Shin-Ei fuzz live, though. Aren't those things rare? I know there are a few things that he likes to use in the studio, but never takes out on tour. I love how HUGE Graham's Telecaster sound was during this era of Blur, about 98-99. Love his stuff.
great vid ,i heard damian got his glasses from legendary lead singer of mud.i heard it took a lot of hard work to get these one off special made glasses form the mud front man.there is only one other pair in the world known to man and they are owned by the legendary dennis weaver who wore them in the tv series"mccloud" and feature film "duel".i hope damian has looked after these glasses because to would be a scandel if he were to abuse them.
This Is Hardcore was a Pulp album. Noel Gallagher has never been in Pulp or written any of their songs. If he was and I and the rest of the world missed it, then we obviously did underestimate his gravitas!
What? Well this is news to me. Gallagher is a veritable Napoleon of artisitic culture and hence why he has for the past 10 years, also been the drummer for The Who.
what the hell are you chatting about mate? Noel Gallagher is the lead singer of Oasis not singer of Pulp or drummer for The Who, dunno who u could be confusing him with? Jarvis Cocker? Zak Starkey? i dunno, whatever This is definitely some of the best guitar by coxon, and i agree, far more complex and indeed better than anything Noel has written in the last few years (including Falling Down which is one of his highlights)
No he is not. I have no idea why you would even come to that conclusion. He certainly didn't tell you about it. This was in 1999. 4 years after that media fueled ridiculous feud. Damon could have cared less about the feud, Oasis or Liam at this point in his life. Not everything Blur did was a counter attack towards Oasis and vice versa.
By this period Oasis were absolute shite and continue to be. Comparing Albarn to Liam is ridiculous. Albarn has more talent in his little finger....well you know the rest. Noel on the other hand.... man I hope he eventually puts out a wing-ding of a solo album.
Oasis was still a super band and was improving on their last albums. Liam is about to become number one on the UK charts with his debut album, something Damon could only dream about. I'm not talking about likes, I'm talking about facts.
+xbluessx being number one at the uk charts doesnt earn respect....Justin Bieber....One Direction...usually hit number one in sales....are they brilliant maestros? fuck no.....Liam is a celeb....Damon is an artist...i have more respect for artists with integrity....dont get me wrong i love oasis...but man can Liam be a shitty human being generally most of the time
Justin, One direction are Marketing, Oasis, Liam are rock and roll music. In a world of artists like Ed Sheeran, Liam continues to do rock and roll, he is honest with his music. What does Damon do? Black music to be successful in the United States, is a sold-man, that is known. The only artist in the charts that makes ROCK AND ROLL , show more respect dude, because that Is a fact
I agree Sulk7. Why's Damon got the Liam Gallagher look and attitude going on? That's why Blur are cool, cos they're not pretentious wankers like Oasis!
Gntlemen, I beleive you under estimate the gravistas of Mr Gallagher. His art school back ground inspired some fantastic work on 'this is hardcore'. 'Common People' was one in many ways far superior 'pop' to anything Blur did.
the truth is that blur were more talented and had great ideas on song writing on the other hand oasis were trying to reproduce patterns from the past...(not so original...) but...they played their instruments better...
Graham just killed this. He's such a phenomenal guitarist...I love when they just let him go and he just goes crazy on guitar.
I'm surprised how little he goes crazy with the guitar in his solo projects.
Graham is destroying the guitar. I like that.
He said in an interview something a long the lines of.... The trouble with Noel is that he loves and respects his guitar where as I just want to smash it...
graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham graham
same
lovin' graham's weird double major 3rd chords. noel would never of thoughta that.
No body else think Damon was making fun of Liam here? Seems pretty obvious to me.
He even had a very similar haircut
So probably yes
Today is gonna be the day that I get my head checked, by a jumbo jet.
who cares
@@k-leb4671 Woohoowall.
Yes, except the micstand isnt high enough
F*ck's sake but that boy could scream like a boss. Makes me wish he'd done it more often.
Graham = guitar God. that song is awsome!!
Alex, Damon, Dave and Graham, thank you to bring to us the good music. I'm very impressed with each band member skills. 13 is my favorite album
Damon is rocking that fucking look and Graham is destroying his guitar. I absolutely love this performance. This was peak Blur for me.
He seriously looks like the Gallagher brothers here
That must've been the heroin. He does not look even half as inbred though... :)
Maggie G. No
HIS BODY POSITION WAS ON PURPOSE, other than that, NO.
wasn't he heroin-free in 1999 ?
Nah, he’s way cuter, lol
Demon Gallagher!
Noticed it
EPIC guitar playing from Graham!
Graham Coxon Rules!
That scream was amazing.
I love for that

my personal top 5: inertia, blue jeans, trimm trabb, polished stone and BUGMAN. such a killer song, and this performance is really good. nice upload!
INTERIA IS SO GOOD. UNDERRATED
1:20
no way did Damon just fucking produce that noise. You can’t convince me.
Listen to Damon's scream during "Swamp Song" Live at Sound Found Nation
When Blur do punk I have ears for nothing else. Love it.
Damon looks hot as hell here -3
I'm going to see them live next July i'm so excited!!!!
...and the instrumental part rocks more than oasis could ever dream to imagine...
I love Damon but sometimes I wish he'd decided to make pure rock music
Only in Noel Gallagher's wildest fantasies could he think up and play the chords that Coxon does in this song.
Plus, if this was Blur doing an Oasis cover, it would be a Beatles cover in essence wouldn't it?
yeh but damon looks like a poor mans liam at the mic here
So, he would still think them up, yeah.?
Graham must have been loving this. "At last, no more of that music hall, Benny Hill shite."
1:20 okay that was awesome
I like Bugman better in the live version... That studio version scares me
that's the best part
@@thirdeyelandslide_ Lol yup.
no me gusta la voz de damon en la version de estudio
Jeez the live version is so much better. My ears aren't bleeding anymore
graham is fcking awesome, in this ideo he's the star!
Damon Gallagher.
I love me some bugs
Peak blur
I so remember this... Learned this note for note on guitar.
The energy!!!!
Proper. Sounding and looking fantastic.
cheers dude, one must lighten up the world with bizarre humour where possible.
Best Performer

Great tune. Great guitar and effects as ever. Great paced increase on the tempo, great camerawork and editing too! BBC :)
Simply, how its done!!
I HAVE HIS SHADESS!
FUCK YEAH BLUR
damon doing his liam impression almost here
Agree! I miss them. :(
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
weirdest shit ever seeing damon just stand there with his hands not even leaving his pockets instead of running around stage and jumping
liam gallagher ark for sure
great vid ,i heard damian got his glasses from legendary lead singer of mud.i heard it took a lot of hard work to get these one off special made glasses form the mud front man.there is only one other

Incredible. It’s better live than on the album
Las volteretas que da la cámara me encantan djsjsjsjs
Oh graham ohhhh yes 😳🥺🤧
I forgot Alex..his bassline kicks a**!!
This Is Hardcore was a Pulp album. Noel Gallagher has never been in Pulp or written any of their songs.

f*ck!! first time ever watch this! thanks for share !!
solo una cosa
diossssss!! its fucking awesome
What? Well this is news to me.
Gallagher is a veritable Napoleon of artisitic culture and hence why he has for the past 10 years, also been the drummer for The Who.
Best fuckin band ever!!!
graham is blur's guitarist!!!!!!
Most of the live versions are pretty fast. I tend to prefer them to the studio.
I Stay away from the bugs, oh yeah!
but, why Damon doesn't jumping around as usual? I mean, Damon, what's wrong?
he has to sing high notes xd
Damon looks a lot like Liam here lol
@mistercrane and what about dave? (drummer) he is very good too
@styot hahaha I think you have a point there!
@mistercrane BIEN DICHO!!!
DAMON ALBARN IS THE BEST!!!!!!!! Best Blur Song!
jajaaj Genio Damon!! estas igual.

Graham said he wanted to play this at Hyde park
Damon was always sarcastic about Liam...
Btw isn't "shock of the lightning" a bit stolen from Bugman???
Well, you must admit, Oasis is a good POP group.
2:25

Fkin awesome, so many years wasted on Gorillaz from Damon when had the genius Coxon next to him
what the hell are you chatting about mate? Noel Gallagher is the lead singer of Oasis not singer of Pulp or drummer for The Who, dunno who u could be confusing him with? Jarvis Cocker? @styot now when you mention it, I kind of do. He looks too much like him, no coincidense...
@itsRyuzaki BLUR IS BEST
BLUUUUUUUUUUR!!!!!!!!!!!! get in the fucking studio already-
No he is not. I have no idea why you would even come to that conclusion. He certainly didn't tell you about it. This was in 1999. 4 years after that media fueled ridiculous feud. xbluessx I disagree.Oasis is awesome, but they broke up.I think Damon is a genius.
@@FuckinLibertine Liam hasn't had the success of multiple projects like Damon has. Damon is a fucking musical god.
You can not tell musicians what to do.

I agree Sulk7. Why's Damon got the Liam Gallagher look and attitude going on? That's why Blur are cool, cos they're not pretentious wankers like Oasis!
